How to make the IC belt relevant again at Wrestlemania

I don't know what the rules are but what if Seth Rollins could cash in for the Intercontinental Championship? If he could what if he loses to Orton earlier in the night by dq. Then later in the night after the MITB match have either Daniel Bryan or Dean Ambrose win and have Rollins cash in right away. Either way you have two possible great feuds and with Rollins cashing in for the IC belt it shows how much it means. If Rollins cashes in on Ambrose you automatically restart their feud adding more dimensions to their rivalry. If Bryan wins it's the Authority screwing Bryan again. They could say it was revenge from last year embarrassing the Authority at Wrestle Mania with Rollins taking away another Wrestle Mania moment for Daniel Bryan. You also have Orton still going after Rollins and the IC championship. Ultimately you have one of the best heels and one of the top guys holding the IC belt with Daniel Bryan, Ambrose, Orton, Ziggler, Reigns possibly, etc going to not only beat Rollins but win the IC belt. Those are not only some good feuds, but so many possible storylines with the hatred for Rollins and the IC belt being the focus. While I doubt this will happen I thought it be a great idea to make the IC relevant again. What do you guys think?

If I remember correctly when there were two title belts the WWE and the WHC, the winner of the MITB had the choice of which title he wanted to go for, and I think he announced it. I remember someone doing that, think it was Edge or Batista.

Since they unified the titles, the winner usually tries to cash in on the WWE champion. Never seen the MITB cashed in on a lessar title and why should they. When you have a chance at the top spot this is the express lane to getting there. I doubt very highly Rollins would cash in on anything less than the WWE title, as he has said he is the future of the WWE on many episodes.

While I understand the HWC is more important than the IC belt, but the thread was about making the IC belt important again. Rollins could say that the reason was that he realized he wanted to not only be the Heavyweight Champion but a triple crown winner by the time his career was over and that screwing either Bryan or Ambrose for the IC belt would be a highlight of his career. It shows that he is confident he will be a future HWC, but wanted to hold the other top title as well. Sets up great feuds for the IC belt in the process.

This would never happen. Money In The Bank's concept is based on having a World Championship match upon your cash-in. The original Money In The Bank briefcases gave the winner a choice between the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship. Then when they changed it to where each belt had a briefcase (red WWE Championship briefcase and blue World Heavyweight Championship briefcase) then you knew which belt the winner was going to cash in for a chance to win. There is only one World Championship in WWE right now, so due to the rules the ONLY belt that Seth Rollins will be cashing in for is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. There has never been a midcard Money In The Bank briefcase stipulation. While I'd like to see one implemented, it does not exist at this time. The idea suggested by the opening post would devalue Money In The Bank as only a midcard briefcase should be used on a midcard belt. Bad idea and it should not happen.

The ladder match is a good start DB winning and main eventing raw n smackdown is will bring prestige to the title since Brock don't show up to every raw and he will beat roman silly on Sunday plus the title looks awesome that's a plus and it would hurt the Ic title main eventing a few ppv

The best way to have the IC belt is put good hungry wrestlers in matches for it with the intent of working up the ladder to challenge the world champ. Good long story lines along with great matches is how you elevate the lower belts.

That wouldn't make the IC Title mean more it would make the MITB mean less.

It would also make Seth Rollins look like an idiot.

Bingo.

It would also end up de-valuing the WWEWHC in favor of the IC Title, which is just bad business. When you have a chance to go for the big prize, why would you even think about the secondary one?
