How over would Mordecai have been had WWE had patience with him?

Had WWE have kept Mordecai on TV, not lose to Rey Mysterio and maybe have kept him unbeaten for a while, as WWE like to do to up coming heels, where would Mordecai be in todays WWE. I think he sould have entered similiarly to how Mankind was bought into WWE in the terms of attacking someone fairly big and going over on them. By attacking S2H, he was never gunna get the reaction they wanted. I think had he have entered teh scene right, he'd be a big star, probably have had a good feud with taker and kane and maybe ex champ. thoughts?

I can remember reading that there was a Taker/Moredcai feud planned but Taker wasnt too keen. They also hinted at a Mordecai/Eddie feud that never happened. I think they would have ended up turning him into a comedy character like Mankind and to an extent Kane (remember the Kanenites?). It may have worked well for him but I definantley do not feel he would have remained with the character he had as it was too similar to Taker. Just my opinion anyway.

I think Kevin Fertig had alot of potential, as both Mordecai & as Kevin Thorn. While some don't like characters with over the top gimmicks, these were two that I didn't mind. But I will stay on topic & discuss Mordecai only.

He could have been a big addition to Smackdown if given the right push. He would of essentially been, the Anti-Undertaker. Even going so far as to having his own version of the ministry but going for the light instead of darkness, almost like religious zealots.

How I would have booked him would have been by debuting him on RAW & building him up & waited for about 2 years before building a inter-promotional match for Wrestlemania.

At the time of Mordecai, he was still very green in the ring though, so that might have limited the push he received.

At the time that Mordecai was with the WWE, I was still relatively new to the wrestling world. Meaning that I hated every single heel and loved every face, but I've since learned not to be like that. I hated the concept of seeing Mordecai ''crucifying'' people and I just hated the character in general. At only nine years, Mordecai did kinda scare me a little bit. He went undefeated for a while, with victories against Scotty 2 Hotty, Billy Kidman, Hardcore Holly, and more. That loss to Rey Mysterio, which I was heavily rooting for, really messed up his character.

Even now, if Mordecai was still with the WWE, I doubt he would be as dominant as he was during his short stint in WWE. No one has the same dominance from the beginning to the end of their career. And I did hear that WWE had plans to have a Mordecai/Eddie Guerrero fued, which I wouldn't have liked because I feel that that would be a bit of a downgrade to Eddie, especially since he just lost the WWE Championship, at the time. An Undertaker/Mordecai fued may sounds good on paper, but I doubt that it'd be a good fued in general and I don't like how the new talent like to target Undertaker so much. So, if Mordecai was still in the WWE, I don't think he would have found much success, maybe just being a jobber now.

P.S. I was so shocked when I found out that Kevin Thorn was Mordecai. I loved the Kevin Thorn gimmick, but hated everything about Mordecai. See what a simple gimmick can do?

I don't think he would have been very over at all, even given the time. - I don't think the fans cared about him very much and it was obvious that Fertig was quite underdeveloped in the ring at that point. I think the feud with Taker might have helped propel him slightly, but I don't think he'd of been as big as everybody expected him to be when he debuted.

He would've gotten the Kozlov treatment, beat on jobbers and put over mid cards and main eventers. Mordecai wasn't anything impressive in my opinion, he was OK, but nothing special.

I remember around the May/June 2004 WWE considering having Eddie drop the belt to Mordecai at Summerslam, that never happened, and I'm glad, Mordecai had the look of something interesting but his skills set lacked, and having him g against the lower card guys made him look weak then Rey Mysterio beating him then Mordecai was gone didn't really help him.

I doubt he'd of been a world champion but i think had WWE giving himfair crack of the whip he'd of been lurking around the Kane's, Khali's, Big Show's, not a world champion but a tall guy who gets jobbed out a lot.
