How much longer

Bit of a disgrace to be honest. Especially as he was in his hometown. He is also By Far one of the most entertaining guys they have at the moment, and yet they are wasting him.

Are you telling me on a 3 hour Raw they couldn't of had him compete in at least a 5 minute match? What a joke. Instead these people are getting TV time over him

Hornswoggle
The Can Can womens dance
Evan (One move) Bourne
Jack Swagger
Roddy Piper
Different Michael Cole segments
Kofi Kingston
That stupid Obama Promo. Even Khali got more TV time than he did!
That pointless R-Truth John Morrison "Match"

Nice going WWE. Nice going.

The main reason I think Ryder is NOT just popular because of his internet show is because I actually noticed the guys talent on WWECW. When he debuted with his half-tights, spiked up hair, and ridiculous music I couldn't stop laughing. Next thing I noticed was that his move set was awesome. Despite being clearly absurd and a comedy act, he was aggressive in the ring and got the job done. He took HIMSELF seriously, even though there's barely anything serious about him, and that's the gimmick that WWE needs to push. He even was number one contender to Christians ECW championship, and not in a crappy way like Ryder vs Shaemus. I think he won like a battle royal or something (memory is hazy on that), Christian showed him respect, and they put on a great match. Just let the guy act stupid outside of the ring, and win matches in the ring. It worked for him before, and I didn't know a thing about his internet efforts. Easily could be a great IC champ. I think people forget that he's already been a tag champ too. And that was BEFORE he was awesome.

Why didn't WWE use him on tv? As it's already been mentioned, WWE was scared of the pop that a heel would get. Usually when that happens, the heel insults his hometown and betrays them to turn the pop into heat. Long Island is so integrated into Ryders gimmick though, that he simply couldn't do that. Still, the WWE are idiots for not just letting him be face. He was born for it.

oh my god.....

WWE had 3 hours to promote Capital Punishment and they made it one of the better go home shows they've produced in a while (since wrestlemania I'd say). Ryder is not involved in the PPV, and that alone is reason enough to keep him off television.

Once again as I stated in the Zack Ryder thread, 100,000 average views for each episode of his youtube show vs. 13 million average viewers of WWE programming per week makes the "Ryder Revolution" 1% of the viewing populace.

Also, as I said in the other dedicated thread to Zack Ryder, why in the world would you bring out a curtain jerker who's supposed to be a heel and have him come out to a huge pop? It creates confusion among the dumb viewer who doesn't know any better.

Just admit you got it wrong, Ryder Revolution. You knew he was going to be on Raw and light the world on fire last night. He wasn't, he didn't. He's more likely to be on Raw this upcoming week because WWE isn't trying to sell a PPV.

Swagger - he does nothing, yes he's good in the ring, but he's not good at anything else, its hard to even see how he was WHC last year at this time

Bourne - he's in the same place as Swagger lost in the middle card shuffle on Raw

Santino - yes he's funny as hell, he's also over, but he's been doing the same thing for the past 2 years

McIntyre - Its only a matter of time before we see "good luck in your future endeavors"

Kingston - I don't care if he's champ, he blows the quicker this spot monkey is gone the better

Ryder wrestles on Superstars week end and week out, and he's got more momentum then all of the people Ive listed. He just needs pushed. Swagger and McIntyre have been given plenty of chances. Kingston will soon have more IC title reigns than Jericho at the rate he's going. No one can honestly say they care about McIntyre and make it believable. Santino is funny, but we need to push credible stars, not comedians

really calling Kingston a spot monkey? really couldnt think of anything more Racist to say?

Bottom line?

Vince doesn't give two shits about US or Zach Ryder. A boss is supposed to care about his employees to keep them happy. He couldn't have gotten a two minute squash match in his home town Vince? Asshole. Look I am not a fan per say of Ryder. I think he is funny but thats it for me but I do admire how hard he is trying to do what he has to do. Many guys have had shit handed to them but just waste it. i.e. Ted Jr.

I love Stone Cold TO DEATH, trust me but come on, 30 Austin segments and you couldn't squeeze ONE squash match for Ryder Vince? Asshole. Hell Big Andy got more TV time than Ryder. You are pushing a Tough Enough winner more than an active Superstar Vince? Asshole.

My theory? Vince is annoyed by us and Zach. I think he hates the fact Ryder is doing what he is doing. Vince isnt creating Zach so it pisses him off. We bring signs and we chant for Ryder and it pisses Vince off. So I think Vince is sticking it to us and Ryder because of it. Is my thought process immature here? Sure. Is it ignorant? Sure. Is it likely? No. Is it the reason we don't see him? Give me a GOOD reason why we don't.

spot monkey isn't a racist term. It's used to describe wrestlers who use high spots/"high risk" wrestling moves without rhyme or reason. Guys like RVD, Jeff Hardy, John Morrison, and Sabu have all been called spot monkeys.

I understand why you think it might be a racist term, but it's not.

That being said, I have a hard time fitting Kofi into the spot monkey category.

And silrock: If Vince truly hated what Ryder was doing, he would have fired him by now for making the WWE look bad. He wouldn't have allowed Michael Cole to bring up the youtube show last week. Vince loves it when people try to make themselves. It means he and his team have less work to do. Once again, WWE was selling Capital Punishment. Ryder doesn't figure into those plans right now and that is the only reason he wasn't on TV yesterday.

Ok and the months prior to this ppv, what is their and your reasoning for taking Zach Ryder signs AWAY from the fans at events when he is an ACTIVE WWE SUPERSTAR?

IS hornswoggle in the PPV?

Santino?

Austin?

Morrison?

Piper?

Please explain why they can have 2 minute spots but Ryder can't?

Ryder is a heel. Him getting support and having signs doesn't move him forward as a heel. Until them change him to a face, they don't want signs in the crowd. Why is this hard to understand? Is WWE missing the boat on changing him face? Maybe. But there isn't nearly as much support for Ryder as some people around here seems to think. I'm not going over the math again since I've posted it in 3 different spots now.

IS hornswoggle in the PPV?
Helped sell R-Truth who is on the PPV.

Helped sell Sheamus who is on the PPV.

Helped sell the ENTIRE PAY PER VIEW WITH EVERYTHING HE DID ALL NIGHT LONG.

Morrison?
Helped sell R-Truth who is on the PPV

Helped sell the Miz and Alex Riley who are on the PPV

Please explain why they can have 2 minute spots but Ryder can't?
Because Ryder is a heel, and couldn't help get over any of the heels and if he had appeared on the program to try to put any one of the faces over it would not have worked because no one in his hometown would pay attention to the story line being pushed and just be all giddy that Ryder was there.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Raw being in Long Island on the go home to the PPV is why he wasn't there. It's not the first time local heroes got snubbed from TV.

I think Ryder went over the big Russian guy in his Superstars match and I believe it was a clean victory. Ryder is supposed to be a heel, so I'm sure he was happy with the match. Heels usually don't go over cleanly on Superstars from what I've seen.

Vince and the creative team must have something up their selves for Ryder. That or he will be cut within the next few weeks.

How would Zack Ryder (heel) getting a huge pop from the crowd be any different from fist bumping Cena (super Face) every week? Don't you think the fist bump would confuse the "dumb viewer" more? How would it be possible for the "dumb viewers" to possibly wrap there heads around being friendly with cena one minute to hanging around Ziggler the next.

I'm all for Ryder Revolution............

Did anyone catch what Cena said to the camera while coming out for the main event last night. I could be wrong but didnt he say something directed towards Ryder?

Cena makes the WWE money. Lots and lots of money. Ryder does not. That's the big difference.

And yes, I think the fist bump backstage was a confusing thing because he's got a positive face interaction with Cena one week, and then the next he comes out against Kofi Kingston with Ziggler in his corner.

Ryder is going to make it to TV shortly. He's got too much growing support behind the curtain to be ignored. If he's got Cena in his corner, it's just going to be a matter of time before he gets some more TV exposure. If every week there are tweets from Austin and Jericho praising Ryder and criticizing WWE for not using him, they'll eventually catch up and everyone around here can be happy.

One week does not make or break a push. Ryder had been getting some on screen time for two weeks and then WWE had to sell a PPV so he was left off so that 90% of the audience would focus on the PPV and not on Zack Ryder.

Exactly, every week Cena smiles and interacts with "heel" Ryder. So you can squash that "he is a heel" arguement.

It was a THREE HOUR Raw. Not every segment was directed towards the PPV. Lawler came to Hornswoggles resque. Was that to help Lawlers announcing skills for the PPV?

My God before going to a commerical they could have at least shown him talking to someone in the back or looking at his own ass in the mirror. Something to say "hey its your hometown". He was excited for this Raw, you could tell on his last Long Island Iced Z show.

My beef is NOT Oh Ryder is so awesome make him champion, please push him. My beef was God throw the guy a bone in his own town. I couldn't remember a live show in Philly where Stevie Richards wasn't involved in some way when he was with the company.

He said that he loves him and that he is his hero, and something about one of the bottom stands or whatever, at least it was what I managed to understand.

It was a really bad thing in my opinion, the crowd was really crazy about him and every IWC (hater or lover) was curious about what WWE wanted to do, and if they put them out, it would make some confusion for the normal viewers, seeing Zack Ryder "A tool" getting a amount of pop bigger than Stone Cold!

The crowd was really really wild, and I almost believe that 80% was part of the IWC.
A lot of chants to Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Alex Riley, it was really really cool.
Zack Ryder isn't that good, he is a goofy, not a WWE Champion, but at least he deserved a match yesterday.
They could made Zack Ryder vs Sheamus, and make Zack look a little bit cool losing.

I swear a GOD, when JoMo music entrance failed, I thought that Zack's Ryder dad was coming in and that Zack would stop him, and if R-Truth actually won against Zack Ryder, he would have garner a lot of heat!!

Then why on earth did the WWE brass allow CM Punk to wear Macho Man esque gear to the ring and even more so allow him to do the pose and the Elbow drop. Wouldn't that generate confusion for the "dumb viewer who doesn't know any better" ?

Everyone is acting like this is the first time a low or midcard wrestler was left off their hometown card. It's not. It's happened a lot throughout the history of wrestling. Sometimes, it just doesn't work out. For example, Beth Phoenix has been left off cards in Buffalo before. I know, because I was there. And the hometown crowd was livid! They wanted to see one of their own kick ass in the HSBC arena. I understand drawing the comparison between a Diva (no matter how awesome she used to be but since relegated to being Kelly Kelly's butt buddy), to the internet darling in Zack Ryder isn't the same, but it's the same principle. Position on the card=face time on television. If you aren't in the upper echelon, you aren't guaranteed TV time.

Should they given him Superstars or at least a Dark Match? Yeah probably. But they didn't. I do like Futureshock's idea of Ryder taking up the challenge against R-Truth once we saw Morrison taken out, but that's not how they decided to go with it.

Exactly. "Esque". Subtle. He didn't come out to Pomp and Circumstance with a sparkly robe and tassels snappin' into a slim jim and screaming "OOOOH YEAH!"

Punk's ring gear already has stars on it. Punks stars are usually in a row, and they were not that time. Punk mixes and matches colors all the time. He's worn black, white, green, so it's not out of the realm of understanding to wear pink. If you didn't know any better (like the dude who tweeted Cena afterwards saying Punk was gay), you wouldn't know you were looking at a tribute.

And that's a tribute to an icon. There's a difference.

Something Christian said last night summed it all up for me to be honest..dont know the exact quote but it was something like him not being pushed from birth because of who he was and who his forefathers where compared to Randy Orton... Same applies to Ryder, it doesn't matter whether people hate him or think him not worthy...it was his home town  and hes put the work in for even 10minutes! Everyone deserves a few minutes in their home town to draw the locals...

Want to make it worse?

His superstars match was with a guy hes friends with and has no problems with? Primo? I swear they were tag partners a couple of months back and Primo was on Zack's show...

UTTER BULL SHIT and unfair on someone who works hard and keeps his chin up when others would have just given up or just have to ask their "Hall of Famer" dads to put a word in to have shit handed to them...

Sorry for the double post but i wanted to clarify this..

Ryder on RAW = FACE
Ryder on Superstars = HEEL

Thats why creative is bull shit! and so's mangement, on RAW T shirts sell..on Superstars...YouTube views are gained and WWE.COM gets some traffic...

I can't wait for the Ryder push for the simple fact that people will then stop talking about it.

But as soon as Ryder is pushed, people on this board will go crazy about how WWE is doing it all wrong. With all the hype surrounding this guy its bound to happen.

Last night was disappointing that Ryder did not get even 30 seconds on RAW in his hometown. I was pissed off and could not understand why this was happening and then thought.. Why would WWE do this?

Here's my theory:

The WWE is testing out a new strategy to leverage social media to connect with their fans. Ryder is 25 years old and is very knowledgeable about using these tools compared to some of the older guys. They are testing the market by using this wrestler in a new way.

By not putting Ryder on and the continuation of his videos, the theory would be that the fans would get louder and more will jump on the bandwagon. Ryder has only done 17 episodes so far and by suppressing the fans of what they want makes us upset and makes us want it more. Give it some time and to double or triple the video view counts and followers, then we will be singing a different tune. Imagine how strong his fan base will be by episode 30?

Zack may very well be on board for this and WWE is telling him to keep it tight lipped. Would be a very unique way to market a wrestler in this new age of social media.
