I think the child-safe, anti-bullying environment the WWE has been cultivating in the past year or so has attracted people like this woman and her child. The product hasn't caught up to the marketing right now, and we still have characters, especially heels, being too rough for the kind of parent and children the marketing attracts. These moms come to a WWE show expecting Power Rangers-tier action, and got a classic wrestling heel, straight out of a time when fans were bullied every single day.

If the WWE still wants to be able to take signs and rip them up purely for the sake of on-screen character development, they need to stop marketing the WWE to very small children, especially in the sensitive kind of age we live in now.

Edit: Also, Dixie Carter brought herself down to laughably pathetic levels, scraping the bottom of the barrel with this parent who was upset at heel bullying. TNA openly markets their product as an edgier version of WWE, where something like this could happen at any given moment. To say that TNA stars would never do this is bringing her product down to a PG level in the same way that the WWE has been doing this whole time. I wonder if this mother realizes she's being used as a PR pawn, and that nobody actually gives a shit about her or her son's sensibilities.

First of all, Lucy doesn't like wrestling.

As for what would have happened, yeah I would have started crying. Then I would have started cheering when Hulk Hogan, my hero, beat the tar out of Hogan and Piper. My mom would have been telling me that they're actors and not that mean.

Also this wouldn't be a factor since Orton was long gone when I was born.

When she said "TNA's wrestlers would never act that way", all I could think about was Magnus' scuffle with that fan at Hardcore Justice 2012.

Magnus wouldn't have done it with an 8 year old though and I don't think Ray would either to be honest. Not to an 8 year old kid.

I remember watching Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries and he was trying to rip a sign and couldn't do it.. Man if someone finds me a gif of that moment I'll rep him for a whole month xd
