I don't ever see Evan becoming World Champion, and someone else on a different thread somewhere said, its okay for not everyone to become World Champion. I agree with that. Evan Bourne can still have a great career being more aggressive and having different sorts of accomplishments. I loved Evan's program with Jericho. I do believe Evan can truly stand up and show us he's not a weakling or the ultimate underdog since Rey.
Someone above said, "turning someone heel is not the cure all" something along those lines. I agree. Turning someone heel wont ever fix EVERYTHING or sometimes anything at all. But... I do think a heel turn for little Evan is needed.
Personally I'd like to see Evan as a face teaming with Daniel Bryan before turning heel on him. Then a program between these two. I think its a great way to repackage Evan Bourne.
Agree with everything here except Evan turning heel. I think Bryan would do great in a heel role, if the team must be split by face/heel betrayal or whatever. How much more aggressive and awesome would Bryan be? I think a lot.
Evan Bourne doesn't need to be saved, in my opinion. He's sidelined with an injury - that's fine (well, not really, but it happens). It's not like he's languishing as a jobber. He's a fan favorite and while I don't really ever see him winning the top title, I think he'll be a great mid-carder. Akin to a Kofi Kingston, I think Evan would do good as a US/IC champion and he's definitely got "show-stealer" in him.
If anything, move him to SmackDown, as I feel that roster might provide more exciting pairings - Ziggler, Kofi, of course Mysterio, Swagger to a certain degree... On Raw, there's really only Punk, Gabriel, and Bryan that I think I'd want to see Evan face off against. Well, Tyson Kidd kinda.
Before the Draft though, we NEED a Gabriel/Bourne feud. Evan Bourne is the good guy with a backflip finisher (see: Shooting Star Press) with hair that goes up and not a hair on his chinny-chin-chin. Justin Gabriel is the bad guy with down-hair, some scruff/5pm shadow, and a front-flip finisher (see: 450 Splash). It's almost like they've planned out that Gabriel is Bourne's evil twin, doing the exact opposite of what Evan does.
