This may have been one of the reasons why the title was taken from Reigns. The shows Reigns was headlining were being held in larger venues in markets where WWE is generally stronger, so Ambrose drawing the same numbers in smaller venues and weaker markets, I would think, is something WWE is taking notice of. Reigns isn't a strong draw in terms of house show attendance or in terms of TV ratings, he may well rank among the lowest drawing WWE Champions in history. They've been pushing Reigns quite strong for over 1.5 years and he's consistently been in the main event spot since last fall, so he's had plenty of time for WWE to determine his drawing power.
