Tragedy strikes twice, 35 years apart
Man killed in crash had been drunk driving victim

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Friends of Randy Williams hope his life is not remembered for the bad luck he experienced, but the way he reacted in spite of it.

Williams died five days after sleeping in his room on June 12th when an accused drunk driver went off the roadway and slammed into the assisted living center where he was living.

Ironically, Williams was permanently crippled in a drunk driving accident nearly 35 years when he was just 8 years old. In that accident, a drunk driver hit the car his family’s car.

That story is seriously fucked up and depressing as hell.

Only ever been that drunk once in my life, and the only reason I know that I was that drunk was because I woke up the next morning on my parents couch.

I had managed to drive myself 3 and a half miles home from a party and to this day have no idea or memory of how I did it.

Quit drinking heavily after that. Stick to beer now, maybe a shot here but mainly beer.
