Dark Match Winner
Now the title speaks for itself. I read it here on WZ earlier today and yes I actually watched Brooke Knows Best earlier tonight to here it from the man himself. The Hulkster as noted just had a laser surgery on his back recently to get rid of the pain and numbness in his back and legs. It is a risky surgery that doesn't actually fix the bones and spurs it just gets rid of the pain. If successful I am pretty confident that Hogan will at least try and come back, hopefully to the WWE.
In a segment on the show, I came to the conclusion that Hogan is getting low on money, he even said he had decisions to make when it came to paying bills and if you saw the new house he's living in now it's far from a mansion to say the least. Hogan also talked about how he wants to come back and wrestle and thinks he can if the surgery is a success. IMO we would have seen a lot more of Hogan in the past few years if his injuries weren't so severe he could barely walk and also because of his $ issues.
Now obviously this is a mute point if the surgery isn't a full blown success but for the sake of conversation I am going to say it will be and that we will see Hogan back on a part time basis at least. As much as I would like to see Hogan/Austin we all know that wont happen but what about Hogan/Cena at Wrestlemania 26. I know there was a thread about this in the past month or so, so I won't get into the creatives of the angle. Despite a full recovery, Hulk is too old and beat up to wrestle on more then a part time basis but I do think he could wrestle a few PPV's a year.
So I ask you IWZ, one do you guys think Hogan will come back if the surgery does work?
And secondly, if he does come back do you think it will be for another Wrestlemania moment, or a more part time basis?
Kind of like in 2003 when he came back for about 3 months, wrestled a couple PPV's then went away for a little while and came back as Mr. America for another few months. Obviously, he won't come back as Mr. America but you know what I mean. I am hoping for more then just a Wrestlemania match and I know his matches won't be pretty but we have all come to the conclusion that Hogan isn't a good wrestler anymore.
