Are you talking about getting the Queen of England to close parliment before the prime minister can be recalled?

How does that work? Can I call the President of Mexico to end economic bailouts here in America?

Its not the Queen, it is the Governor General, who is the Queens representative. She is pretty much a figure head, but she has one major power, she choose when an election takes place, after the Prime Minster tells her. She also has the chance to switch the government if another coalition is stronger. The ruling Conservative Government is short a few seats to be able to rule efficiently. If an election happened, they could win the seats possibly, but the coalition might be able to take control first.

Side note, is it just a coincidence that Ottawa's hockey team is the Senators?
