HBK, Triple H, and Taker should stay gone for at least six months.

Coco

Mid-Card Championship Winner
Seriously, let the young guns step up just like Steph and co. supposedly want them to. SmackDown was going to survive without Taker anyway as he's on his semi-annual break right now. Trips and HBK won't help Raw at all right now, though. They're a quick fix to a much larger problem. Time for that show to invest in the midcard, which as we've seen they won't do properly with too many old fixes hanging around. Even though Trips is likely to be back sooner than later, too much focus on the old guys will cut MVP, Matt, Kofi, Regal, Carlito, Primo, and Kendrick off at the legs.

I'm rarely one to go crazy saying new guys need to be pushed, and I'm not saying they should be overpushed either. But for the love of God, those three guys being gone at the same time presents a great opprotunity.

Hell no. Trips maybe. But if HBK and Taker are retiring soon, esp by next years Wrestlemania, then I want to see them. I dont want them gone, then come back for 2 months, then retire. A couple months is good. HBK doesnt hog the spot light, he puts guys over, I'd like to see him soon.

Taker and Shawn might be gone after WM26, I have serious doubts about whether the WWE will have created new top shelf stars by then. It's worrying.

I thought the Taker rumor for this year had been squashed. Evidently not.

HBK does hog spotlight. He gets a ton of ring-time and freedom that some of the new stars, specifically Cena, Jeff, Punk, and Umaga, should be trusted with rather than an old man who never turned out to be the draw that the company needed. And I'd love to hear who he put over. He got his win back over Cena, he didn't put over Jeff until Trips did it first. He nearly killed Orton's big WWE Championship reign... *sigh* I'm a big fan, but Shawn gets a huge free pass from many a person on the web. It's sad. We're better off without him for a few months.

The biggest problem here is I have the worst feeling that Trips has years left in him.

Plus Hardy's leaving. God, what a dream world that would be. No HHH, Taker, HBK, Meth Hardy, Kane and Batista. Fuck, get rid of that jackass Brian Gerwitz as well.

I'd watch religiously and never bitch again. Ever.

I thought the Hardy rumor got squashed as well. He confirmed his contract is coming up but I heard he said he would resign. Renegotiating now is only fair and expected as Jeff is worth more now than when he was brought back into the E in the late summer of 2006.

What is this crap?

Ah.

I still don't believe it. Fucker is being pushed hard as the top face. If he plans on walking, you'd figure he'd at least get bumped to the midcard after multiple losses to Matt and Rey would be in the spot he's in right now. But he won at Backlash and is still going for the big belt?

I know WWE enjoys working the net once in a while, but come on..

I totally agree with you Coco.

This needs to be a time where the young guys can prove they can step up and hang with the main eventers while some of the major names are gone. If WWE don't take advantage of this time to build up new stars without old ones stealing the spotlight, they're basically screwing themselves over for the future.

Six months seems like the perfect amount of time. Punk can cash in and finally have a successful title reign after a month or two of being built up. MVP can finally have his main event feud that he's waited years for. And Morrisson can have a feud with a main eventer to help himself out.

Another great thing about those 3 guys being gone is that we now have 3 less guys who are a bit iffy about putting over young guys. This is directed more at Triple H than the other 2, but HBK and Taker have been known to do it as well.
Now our top main eventers are Orton, Edge, Batista, Cena, Hardy and Jericho.
Orton shouldn't be putting young guys over.
Batista and Hardy will be gone soon leaving.
But Jericho and Edge are all for putting over young guys. Edge let Punk go over him to get his first world title.
Cena is a strange case. He's young, so he shouldn't really be putting young guys over, but he's spent so much time at the top and beaten so many top performers that putting over the odd young guy wouldn't hurt him. Even if he just made the young guy look good... Although it's usually someone else who needs to make Cena look good, but that's neither here nor there.

I personally am looking forward to the next few months, seeing the new generation rise.

I actually believe that both Shawn and Taker are just as bad as Triple H. The internet has a larger hate on for the latter, however, because of who he's sleeping with.

you might get your wish guys. Taker could be out the rest of the year with surgery on biceps and knees. they said they hope he back by Summerslam as he has a huge part in it. Shawn is at the end this will be his last year going. his back issues are coming again and wwe needs to realize they won't be around forever. they need to stop putting all there hope into these two they served there time. AS for HHH he will be around till he dies. He will help run the company with Vince kids when he passes. HHH knows talent and will help hugely getting guys ready.
