HBK returns.

Finally! Shawn Micheals returns! And the best part, is that with the execption of ONE person, we're all jumping for joy. Kudos for the WWE doing this, no one, and I mean NO ONE saw this coming.

I did actually predict it in the Live thread. It just came 1 night late.
Having said that, when he didnt turn up at No Mercy i expected they'd wait for the next PPV, which was stupid really because they were never going to introduce Michaels and Jericho in the same night.
What i also predicted was that the new Hart Foundation will turn up quickly afterwards in time for the Survivor Series.

With Raw being so stacked has anyone thought of the possibility of the WWE putting Y2J on Smackdown? They need new stars on Smackdown to freshen up that product. It seems as if they have thrown Smackdown to the side and don't really care about it.

It makes me wonder about the videos. Everyone is pretty sure that SAVE_US.222 is Jericho, and the second video (forgot the name off hand) was HBK. Does this mean they're making videos for everyone that will be returning and/or debuting?

Great suprise... first time I was watching Raw and actually went "OMG" out loud in shock in a LOOOOOOOONG time.

I think that they'll keep improving Raw until it settles from the Cena thing, then possibly trade a few people back and forth (Umaga->Rey/Henry anyone?). I am SO glad HBK is back, and even though DX is dead, I'll hold back the tears...

Something has just come to mind about that.
The first video clearly referenced Jericho while the 2nd was for Michaels but what if the video's weren't for Jericho or Michaels but something that ties them together?

Jericho - Canadian
Michaels - 1997 Survivor Series
2nd coming - :shifty:

looks likes its orton vs. kennedy, hardy, or HBK. my pick is HBK with hopefully orton retaining. To respond to someone saying HBKs return wasnt much of a pop, i was there and it was absolutely insane. the entire time it was so loud u couldnt hear absolutely anything.

Good, I'm glad to see the Old HBK back, and not the Old HBK back.

HBK was starting to look pretty bad, and quite frankly, hasn't had a good match in almost two years. It's because he was injured, and needed the time off. Thankfully, he got his time off and he looks rejuvenated.

I'm glad to see that there wasn't a 5 week build up of shit promos, just a nice surprise at the end of the night. No hogging and building up time, no trying to milk out pay per view buys, none of that bullshit, just a nice shock at the end of the night which we haven't had in a long time.

HBK looked good, and looked energized. I hope that this is the beginning of a nice long run.

I am completely amazed with the surprise WWE planned. HBK is the most loyal superstar WWE ever had. If he didn't love the business, he wouldn't have returned as early as the first RAW after NO MERCY. He returned before his scheduled time and this really shows how loyal he is to the company. Whenever WWE needed him he happily agreed. He was the top guy in 95, 96, 97 and somewhat on top in 98. He even served WWF as a commisioner only 'coz they needed him. He even signed autographs, made special appearances, promoted WWF when he was not an acting superstar at all. He is the most senior superstar who made his debut in 88 whereas Austin in 89, Taker in 90 and we know about all others debuting late 90s. I am not talking about old superstars WWE has 'coz they don't wrestle much and are way past their primes.
Anyway tell me who in this GOD'S GREEN EARTH would return to WWE when he has a broken back and told by doctors to not go out there at all but HBK did it and still put on more 5 stars matches than he had put earlier. I mean he still did it. I have never seen any superstar with this much passion and loyalty. My heart goes out to the greatest superstar ever to set foot in a WWE ring and he is the Heart Break Kid 'SHAWN MICHAELS'.
People might say ROCK, AUSTIN, HOGAN or HITMAN as the greatest ever but they really aren't. They are not as passionate and loyal as HBK. Since HBK belongs to a ARMY family, he'll always be loyal, fighter, enduring, passionate, tough and an All-Time ASS KICKING MACHINE.

anyone think that hbk looked like he had allittle more hair!!! PLuGS? GLad to see him though because no one delivers like he does. He also had a little Skinner look last night.(the hat and camo vest) Maybe he studied some tape of him while he was recooping.

Agreed. I can't remember the last time I watched any WWE show and went "Holy S#*@!!!" about anything. Good move by the WWE. Let's hope that some good follows from this cause we know HBK can wrestle a lot better than Cena and that he's definitely over with the crowd.

yea hbk is the better wrestler than cena yea but as for the guy who said that even tho dx is dead hes glad to see hbk back no offence but DX is most certainly not DEAD no where near dead. Have you not been seeing the obvious signs from HHH and watch the off post raw video on wwe.com HBK doing the dx chops i do believe dx is still in tact but as for chris jericho returning hes gna shake up a lot of things if he does but i believe that randy orton will keep the wwe title at least up until the likes of armageddon in december.

WWE needs to take the title off of Randy Orton immediately. This guy is a disgrace to the title and to the company. Look at his past record. He is a misbehaving maniac and now out of no where he gets a chance to represent the title and the company.
OK Iam fine with HHH giving him a clean win. It was the best thing whether anybody likes it or not 'coz history had already been made on that night where HHH won the belt only to lose it later in the night. WWE title changed hands thrice. ORTON-HHH-ORTON.
Orton with the belt is a nightmare waiting to be over. This nightmare haunted WWE in August 2004 only to be over in a month. So i guess this title reign is much shorter than his last one. I just can't stand ORTON with the belt. Even his so called Legend Killer gimmick failed miserably. So i want HBK to snatch the title off of ORTON and stick his cow boy hat up ORTON's ass. Let me tell u something brother :- HBK owns ORTON's ass and at Cyber Sunday ORTON will have his ass handed to him Old School HBK style. Not only will HBK take his revenge, he'll also beat him for the title. Mark my words that at Cyber Sunday another stipulation will be added which will see one hand of HBK tied behind his back but yet he'll beat Orton like a corrupt government mule.

i so absoloutely agree with you on that Randy Orton is a Disgrace to the Wwe title hes a disgrace to raw and hes a disgrace to wwe in general and a disgrace to wrestling HHH so deserves it soooooo much more!:headbanger:

The row rating wouldn't have occured had WWE plugged Shawn's return. Oh well, now that people know he is back, hopefully we can expect ratings to start rising.

I think HBK coming back is AWESOME!!!! At the end of raw I thought I was going to see somebody come out before Randy made it to the back but I had no idea that the person would be HBK. I def was not expecting him to be back so soon but he's here and hopefully he's here to shake things up.

yea hes definately going to shake things up thats for sure!!! i thought that someone would come out when randy started walking up the aisle aswell but i didnt expect it to be HBK Very good move on wwe creative team

First of all there is not another top hell on raw that they could have given the title to. Maybe not the best guy but he is a hell of a wrestler and a great heel. But i think its great hbk is back because it is more of a meaningful fued than hhh and orton. He is a huge draw for the wwe and thats what they need.

I thought for one they screwed up the Shawn return. It really should have happened at No Mercy. I mean what a shock it would have been for HBK to show up as a surprise? Rather then just on Raw?

Surprise returns at PPV's aren't worth it. Especially if it's not one of the Big Four. Many, many more people watch RAW than watch No Mercy or Cyber Sunday.

Your casual wrestling fans aren't dropping $40 on a PPV. They are channel surfing and checking in and out of RAW/SD. Cliffhangers and surprises are an essential part of TV, wrestling or otherwise.

Its great to have hbk back and its a guarantee that he will face orton for the wwe championship.Though triple h is still in contention for the title.

I think the only reason that HBK is back so early is because John Cena's injured.

On top of that, the ratings have been horrible, and the story lines are redundant....and with the injuries of a lot of the bigger named wrestlers the push to get something big was in dire need.

I like DX, but I think it's kind of a waste to have DX back if there are only two members. I think there should be more.

yea dx are still funny even tho theres just HHH and HBK but even still yea i think that HHH is stil in line for a wwe title run obv but Hbk's gonna get the shot at cyber sunday without a doubt cant wait for raw tonight im going its in birmingham cant wait

some thoughts on HBK's return.. a shock.. a very good shock. A relief. But did he arrive late? I hope they explain tonight on Raw why he didn't come down to save HHH from the beating from Orton and Umaga earlier in the night. I'm interested in seeing where this goes also. Good to see the WWE actually becoming unpredictable again.

As for DX.. they are great, in my opinion the best faction wrestling has ever had but.. now it just doesn't work anymore. HBK has tamed down alot and doesn't really agree with the rude ways that Degeneration X is expected to act. Also both guys are main eventers now.. they are going to be in the title picture with Cena gone.. so putting the title on 1 guy and not the other, would make the other guy look less. None of them deserve to look less.

Would be cool in a few months to see HBK kick HHH in the head out of nowhere and make a surprising heel turn. HBK hasn't been heel in way to long..

Also he should keep the beard.. brings back the old school look, i like it.

I thought it was superb to see HBK back on RAW. Perfect timing, definitely wasn't expecting it.
I hope he battles with Orton for a while with a few belt changes along the way. I feel HBK gets shafted a bit when it comes to the title. He's been around longer than pretty much everyone in the WWE, with a few exceptions, he is always in the main event or one of the bigger matches, he wrestles every week, I can't understand how he hasn't been the champ again recently. Another thread perhaps.
I'd actually like to see HBK battle Orton for a while, HBK win the title and then Triple H turn on him and those 2 battle again for a while. Always a good match with those 2.

Vince McMahon has a history of singling people out backstage and embarrassing them in front of other wrestlers. Last Monday when Shawn Michaels was the target of Vince's juvenile behavior, it blew up in Vince's face and left even Stephanie McMahon speechless.

Despite the fact that Shawn Michaels returned to WWE a month ahead of schedule, he still has heat with Vince. Shawn made it clear before he returned that he wants more control over his schedule. He won't be doing any overseas tours and will work a somewhat reduced schedule so he can spend more time with his family.

When Shawn showed up to RAW last Monday for the first time since his injury, Vince started "chewing him out" in front of the lockerroom. He made fun of Shawn's attitude and his clothing, among other things. To the surprise of everybody, HBK fired back at Vince and put him in his place. Shawn made it very clear to Vince in front of everybody that he won't be disrespected by anybody or treated like a rookie.

The wrestlers were shocked that somebody finally stood up to one of Vince's tirades. According to our source, nobody was more shocked than Stephanie McMahon. Witnesses were reportedly amused that Shawn humbled Vince in front of everybody. The McMahon's are not necessarily disliked by the roster but this definitely brought Vince down off his high horse.

Shawn and Vince have had a volatile relationship for well over a decade. There is no indication that this incident will have any ramifications on Shawn's WWE status.

Good, glad to read that and hope it is true. It has been long past time that McMahon has been humbled by one of his boys in the back, and it's long overdue. This cocky attitude and treated his wrestlers like shit for years had gone unanswered for way to long.

Thank you to HBK for sticking up for himself. It's just bullshit that McMahon can criticize a guy that is risking further injury to comeback and work for him. This is much like the situation in 2002 when Austin walked out and McMahon asked HBK to come back. When times are rough, you call on Mr. Reliable, Shawn Michaels. He might be an ass, and have demons in his past, but it's nice to see someone stick up to the boss.
