Having An iTunes Spring Clean...

What I need from you guys is counsel.

Firstly, I need some new songs to jazz up my collection for the summer. Anything upbeat and summery should do the trick.

I am a big fan of rock and electric, so suggest some of those, if you can. Otherwise, I am happy with anything you should suggest.

Secondly, I will drop in here with the songs I might delete. What I need from you guys is a final decision.

So, the first ones I want to delete are:

All of Chris Brown's "Exclusive" album
Aerosmith's - "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", "Cryin" and "Crazy"
Alphabeat's - "10,000 Night's Of Thunder" and "Fascination"
All the B-Sides from Arctic Monkeys

...So far

So, all of those, yay or nay for deletion?

Against Me! are the only band that I have listened to so far but they seem all right. A bit out-there but pretty funky.

I've decided to keep some of "Fallen" and deleted the rest.

You're Scottish, so I'd recommend The Vaselines and Teenage Fanclub.

On the topic of Against Me!, stay the fuck away from their last two albums. Go for their early stuff, specifically Reinventing Axl Rose. One of my favorite bands.

I have no idea if you'll like The Vaselines or Teenage Fanclub, but they're both Scottish so they came to mind first. Late 80s indie/alt pop mostly. Good groups though, Nirvana covered the Vaselines "Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam" for the Unplugged concert they did.

Just getting around to listening to some of the bands now. After deleting almost 2,500 songs from my iTunes library, I am done deleting. With a very humble 5,788 songs left, I am happy with my work.
