Happy Birthday TM

Rep gate? Story please.

A group of posters decided that there was a clique on here that determined who got mod spots. Basically they decided Norcal and I weren't good enough to be on staff but they were. On MSN they came up with this plan to rep each other and give each other these big glowing rep messages, talking about how awesome they all were and all that jazz. This was stupid for multiple reasons, beginning with only G-Mods and admins could look at rep and that happened maybe three times a year and only to delete porn in rep or something like that. It turned into this big ridiculous thing about TM pretending to be Sly on MSN or something like that and it dominated the forums for a few months.

At the end, someone told me what was going on, TM somehow got on staff months later, then the staff ripped him apart in one of the most brutal verbal beatdowns I've ever seen. He hasn't been seen since.

Their lack of understanding the system alone should have been evidence enough that they were not ready to be mods. Fairly amusing stuff though.

I thought we had already debunked that silly myth, there was no "verbal beatdown", there wasn't even a heated conversation. He just left.

The emboldened parts are the parts that are wrong.

Firstly, when rep gate happened, I had only just arrived on these forums and it was still when everyday users could view rep. Secondly, I was in the actual conversation when TM pretended to be Sly and having asked Lee if this was his actual name, Lee passed it onto Sly. It wasn't over Rep-gate or anything else. It was merely over the fact that TM wanted to be his cookie self and though that it might be a little bit of fun... Or at least that is how I saw it.

TM has become a villain on these forums and half of the people who have caused it don't even know the real story. I'm just saying.

Ok Dave, that may be true. he still caused more havoc, raised more anger and caused more stupid trouble here than anyone because he was whiny about people like Norcal and I getting promoted over him.

Yeah, that's true.

Is the thread where he leaves in the Board Room Archives? I'd very much like to read it.

There is some great threads on the 6th and 7th page of the Archives. That's when it gets good.

Klunderbunker is so far off of the real story of "Rep-Gate". I was with TM when it started. It spawned from the two of us. We formed a group of seven, though I don't remember all of the members, and our aim was to gain more forum recognition. We posted in each other's threads, repped each other daily (leaving meaningful comments), and just lifted each other up in general. And you know what? Five of us became moderators. So, edit: haters can eff themselves. Klunder is just mad that some of the people he has a vendetta against accomplished their goal, one which he was outwardly opposed to. We also helped to balloon the entire forum's rep, resulting in an overhaul of the system.

We won.

Just out of curiosity who named it Rep Gate? This is very interesting.

Look, Sir Idiot, I have no idea who in the world you are or when you got here, but you shouldn't speak on something that you have no knowledge of. I started The Group with TM. I know what happened better than you, better than KB, better than anyone. So, you can take your ignorance and shove it.

I came from a planet you've never heard of. If I even began to describe to you the horrors I saw on my home planet your head would explode into a million pieces for your brain would be completely unable to comprehend it. Then again, I think I would welcome that at this point, and I wouldn't be alone.

That said, I'm glad you gave me the proper respect and addressed me as Sir. I might be an idiot, but I'm better than you. Glad to see you recognize this.

As for my quote where I politely point out that you aren't as hot shit as you think you are... I don't doubt that you know more about "Rep Gate" than KB or Dave or Doc or anyone else who has commented on the situation. Or, if you don't know more, you at least have a different perspective that may be more or less accurate.

What I was getting at is that it's not as big a deal as you think it is, and neither are you. As far as silly arguments that happen between grown ass men on internet forums go, this is by far one of the lamest I've heard of yet.

You didn't win. You didn't prove anything to anyone. You are not a bad ass, you are not cool, and you are not special.

Lamest paragraph ever written.

I don't think that you, as someone currently sucking klunderbucket's dick should look down at me for feeling big on a wrestling forum. Look no further than our friendly neighborhood admin for that.

We weren't the ones that made it a big deal. KB is the one that created the controversy. We did nothing wrong. Nothing. He made a stupid ass word fort about it and got everyone in a tizzy.

I'm rubber, you're glue.
