Wrestlezone......is gonna get GOT!
June is closing in and with first half of 2011 gone I want to know who in your thoughts have one these awards.
These awards can be given to wrestlers or superstars in any promotion, WWE,TNA,ROH etc
Superstar of the Half Year
Show of the Half Year
Stable of the Half Year
Match of the Half Year
Moment of the Half year

I'll start off.
Superstar of the Half year: The Miz. Although losing some steem lately how can you say The Miz has not had the best 6months he retains his title at Royal Rumble against Randy Orton, retains at EC against Jerry Lawler and then retains his title against John cena in the main event of Wrestlemania 27 ! Not only did he main event he closed the show ! During
The first few months he was also involved in the Cena/Rock storyline. Then he loses his Title in A steel cage match at Extreme Rules to Cena and then loses his Rematch in an I Quit match. After that he enters a feud with Alex Riley ....then loses, although being on a slippery slope the last few months I see miz bouncing back to be contender for Superstar of the Year.
Show of the Half Year: WWE Smackdown! I got to say Smackdowns impressed me with the program it's provided from the Edge/Dolph Ziggler feud, the firing of Ziggler, ADR wins the Rumble Feuds with Edge which leads to Edge Retiring as Champ after a successful WM title defense, then the rise of christian finally winning the World Heavyweight Championship only to have it stolen by Randy Orton days later which leaded to the feud of Orton/Christian and in between all of that smackdown picks up stars in the draft such as Sheamus, Sin Cara, Mark Henry etc.
Stable of the Half Year: Fortune. Start off heel as a part of immortal then they are revealed as 'they' and turn face against immortal and hulk hogan they have picked up the Tag Team titles and the X division title although losing it to abyss and recently added to Daniels to the mix am coming out victorious in Lethal Lockdown they have shine the brightest in all of stables so far in 2011
Match of the Half Year: Randy Orton v Christian Over the Limit. This match excited me and I loved every second of it especially I wasn't expecting the RKO at then end I loved the match from start to finish.
Moment of the Half Year: Edges Retirement. The Heart break on Edges face and how ran up the ramp to do his entrance again then when Triple H came out it was a really good moment.

There it is

Thoughts ?

Superstar of the Half-Year: The Miz - While it's true Miz is sort of slowing down a bit, which is only expected as he's not currently in the WWE Championship picture, The Miz has easily been the most talked about wrestler of any roster I can think of. Everytime you turn around, Miz has been the subject of threads in which he's praised, hated or just debated about. He generated a lot of renewed interest in the WWE Championship picture and showed that he does belong in the main event scene. He became the longest reigning WWE Champion in nearly 3 years, debunking claims that he'd just be a transitional champion. He had great matches against John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and John Cena as champ. His feud with Jerry Lawler even produced some pretty good matches that told a helluva story.

Show of the Half-Year: Extreme Rules - From an all around perspective, the best ppv I've seen this year so far was Extreme Rules. Really with the exception of the country whippin' match and the tag match, every other match on the show was one I really enjoyed. Even the Divas match between Layla & Michelle McCool was well done. It was short, but it was good while it lasted. Cody Rhodes & Rey Mysterio in a Falls Count Anywhere match, Orton vs. Punk in a Last Man Standing match, Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus in a Tables match, Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Ladder match & John Cena vs. The Miz vs. John Morrison in a Triple Threat steel cage match were all fantastic, especially the ladder match between Christian & Alberto Del Rio. Extreme Rules is one of those ppvs that you don't tend to expect much out of. It's the first ppv following WrestleMania and things have started to die down to some degree, things are getting back to normal so I was surprised at just how great this show was.

Stable of the Half-Year: Fortune - Even though I'm long since sick and tired of the stable/faction wars storyline that TNA has consistently done, Fortune is easily the best stable I think that's really come along so far this year. It's made up of wrestlers that are long time favorites in TNA, wrestlers that many fans consider the overall heart and soul of the company and all of them can mostly deliver the goods. AJ Styles & Beer Money are the superstars of the group, Chrisopher Daniels is still seen as one of the true innovators of the X Division & Kazarian is a pretty solid all around guy. Just a well balanced stable in my view.

Match of the Half-Year: Tie - There've been a lot of memorable matches in WWE this year but the two that really stood out for me overall was The Undertaker vs. Triple H at WrestleMania XXVII and Randy Orton vs. Christian at Over The Limit. Taker vs. Triple H was storytelling at its finest that had every fan in the arena on the edge of their seat. The action in and of itself was a lot of fun for me, but the story and the drama that these two veterans were able to bring out is something that's extraordinarily rare. Orton vs. Christian also told a great story and the action was just superb. The work between them has been nothing short of fantastic and their first match on SD! just after Christian won the WHC is the best match I've seen on television this year so far, which I think says a lot as there've been a lot of really good and memorable tv matches take place this year. Taker vs. Triple H told the better story while Orton vs. Christian had the better action. If I really really really had to get picky, I might give Taker vs. Triple H a slight edge because WWE was able to make the match feel special in a certain way. The Undertaker is someone that's above titles now and having him show up at WM as sort of a special attraction just lent this match a special feel for me. I've watched Taker from the beginning, I've always dug his character and watching him in the ring so it just felt like WM with him back.

Moment of the Half-Year: The Return of The Rock - While I can definitely see the logic of Edge's retirement, especially with it just coming out of left field, The Rock making his return to Raw and being announced as Guest Host for WrestleMania was just nothing short of...well electrifying really. This was the first time we saw The Rock inside of a WWE ring in more than 7 years and it was almost like stepping back in time. The Rock is still in phenomenal shape and is still second to none when it comes to giving promos. The fans in attendance were hanging on every single word he said, every movement he made and every facial expression just like it was 2000 all over again.
