Gunner Lashes Out At The IWC

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
After last night's No Surrender ppv, TNA star Gunner becomes the latest in a number of wrestlers to lash out at the internet wrestling community via Twitter. Some of his comments were:

"Amazing job from all Impact talent tonite! No Surrender was a success! SUCK IT DIRT SHEETS AND FAT COMPUTER MARKS AT HOME."

He responded to some criticism regarding the remarks earlier today by saying:

""So apparently the message boards are calling me an "egomaniac"! Ahhhh u guys are silly!! FAT COMPUTER MARKS...oooppss I did it again."

"Good thing the so called message boards don't really mean crap to me! My true fans are the ones who know we all bust our tails to entertain u all."

"We need to get FATCOMPUTERMARKS trending!"

So, I guess this is Gunner's attempt to mask his mediocrity? He comes across like a lot of the people who don't like Mark Madden. Not that there isn't justifiable reason to dislike Madden, it's just that some seem to believe that calling him a fat bastard somehow renders his opinion moot somehow.

For me, my favorite messages was where Gunner says that the message boards don't mean crap to him. If they don't, then why get so bent out of shape? As far as his "true fans" go, I guess that means the ones that like him are entitled their opinions while those of us that see him as a vastly overrated & generic hack are "FAT COMPUTER MARKS"? I'm actually in rather good shape, thank you very much, but even if I was a "FAT COMPUTER MARK", at least that'd explain my mediocrity. Gunner's a gym rat on a nationally televised wrestling program each week, so what's his excuse?

This made me laugh when I read it.

First off TNA always has people bad mouthing the company, same with WWE. It comes with the territory so if you work for WWE and TNA, do yourself a favor and simply don't pay attention to the dirt sheets and IWC, pay attention to yourself and putting on a good show.

Secondly, who the hell cares what Gunner thinks? 70-80% of the entire wrestling fan population doesn't even know who this guy is and he has only showed me he has mediocre talent across the board. Seriously, I have no idea who he thinks he is (side note: I'm in pretty good shape and certainly not fat and I work with computers all day. I'm guessing a lot on this board isn't fat either, just a hunch). He is not a big name by no means so his opinion just doesn't matter. John Cena tweets a lot and his opinion doesn't matter either, if the biggest name in wrestling's opinions don't matter why would Gunner's?

Lastly, to me he just comes off like a little bitch in his posts. Roode deserved to win (which is probably the closest thing he came to having a coherent tweet) and even though he is mostly just putting over his character, he doesn't come off like a big tough guy heel, he comes off like a cry baby. If you care more about what the IWC thinks than your own performance in the ring and actually IMPROVING your craft then expect a career of mediocrity. You don't sound smart you sound like a bitch.

I don't know why people are calling him an ego maniac if they never met him before anyway you need a pair of balls or the biz is gonna eat you up and spit you out. Personally I don't see how people can judge some wrestlers I used to judge wrestlers but you have to realize they went to a wrestling school, they trained, learned how to do moves and take bumps and perform in front of judges who are strict about safety and what not. I relate wrestling to driving a car, can you comment on someone's driving skills if they passed the written and physical test and you haven't? Most people relate being a wrestling fan to being a customer at a Restaurant, I feel some wrestling fans are like movie critics they may look into something to deep. I just read an article on Bleacher report " top 5 reasons why Kelly Kelly is the John Cena of the Divas Division." I'm not a cena fan or a cena hater but I knew from a mile away this was a hate article, I dislike hate articles and subjects on here and stuff. Seldom does a wrestler have control over how a match goes, let's say you are sitting in the room with Arn Anderson going over spots as you can barely understand a word he says through his french-canadian accent, are you going to question his booking over the match over yours? Funny enough Jericho did that to get Cena pushed but you'd have to read his recent book to find out.

Your the one upset over it. Proving his point EXACTLY.

TNA pushes new talent, "They are boring, they suck, they belong in wwe, your a nobody!" these are what they get in responce.

We have people that HATE the fact Roode winning the BFG happend despite him being a homegrown talent. We have people that actually think Austin Aries winning the belt was a awful idea nd the comppany will die.

It's not about improving you're craft. If you improve it that does NOT mean people will like it. Fact is complainers hover around TNA more than WWE. It's a proven fact. I've pulled up posts from 2008 where people actually wanted TNA to rebrand, sign Austin Aries and other talent and push younger stars. In 2011, they still complain about the show despite doing all of those things. If Gunner came out of ROH, I bet people would respect him more.

It has nothing to do with him sounding like a bitch or "who cares what he thinks" because you are proving his point by sounding butthurt that he called you out.

Fact is there are people that always have a problem with soemething and he addressed them. These are the same idiots that thought TNA would do something "classless" on 9/11 and they still haven't said "I was wrong about it" when it never happend. As a wrestler, there is only but so much you can take.

There is a big line between criticism and downright complaining to complain.

First off, "you're" and "your." Learn the difference.

Now... what in the name of Jesus Christ himself are you talking about?

You literally spin every story into "TNA VS THE WORLD!" Instead of actually going out and saying something remotely interesting you made an ass out of yourself. Find me one single soul, who has some level of mental clarity, on this planet that says Austin Aries will kill the company. Christ, this has nothing to do with TNA detractors hating on Gunner. This has nothing to do with Gunner not garnering enough respect, which he really shouldn't be getting any. I wouldn't care if he came from the WWE or ROH, whatever, he's a puddle of mediocrity. He can't handle that, so he lashes out and makes this kind of a ******ed statement on Twitter, which only makes me respect him less... and less... and less.

This has so little to do with people disliking Roode, Gunner, TNA, Aries, what have you, that it's not even funny. The central issue here is that Gunner is acting like a child. He's not trying to get a reaction out of the IWC, according to him. What he's doing is regressing back to the basic instinct of every second grader in the world. He doesn't like something, so he bitches about it, but he pretends not to care.

Someone needs to deactivate this moron's Twitter account, seriously. Or at least tell him to not act like a moron. If he was trying to stick up for TNA, he miserably failed, as this only sheds a negative light on him and all other TNA employees.

My lord.

I just think its ridiculous that the guy actually cares what the IWC thinks, why should he care? Why should any wrestler care?

Frankly I don't give 2 shits about Gunner or what he thinks, his opinion doesn't matter.

All I said was:

A) It comes with the territory, people are always gonna bitch, you gotta deal with it.

B) Who care's what he thinks, IT DOESN'T MATTER. Gunner doesn't matter, never has and with his current attitude never will.

C) He sounds like a bitch who gets hurt feelings when someone says something bad about TNA or himself. It is what it is and if you are gonna be a wrestler you better have thicker skin than that.

Yes I mentioned he sucks but I certainly have no hurt feelings over it, I laughed at it (which is what my first line in my post said).

P.S. People say bad things about WWE and TNA, its just opinion and it really shouldn't matter, TNA does well (even though its on a smaller scale), WWE does well (even though they don't make as much money as they used to), but its foolish to get your panties in a bunch and get mad at the IWC because they said things you don't like. Frankly he would be much better off just worrying about himself and putting on a good show. They could have the best wrestling product in history and people are STILL gonna complain.

So apparently we don't mean jack shit to gunner. Newsflash Mr. Intense you are TWEETING ABOUTS g US!

You know how we know that WWE doesn't give a rat's ass about the IWC? None of their superstars go.o go out of their way to rant about us. Gunner sounds like he's trying to get attention from us anyway. We complain thats our specialty if you don't like it ignore it. His true fans right you mean the ones who boo him.

Gunner can go screw himself because he doesn't know that EVERYONE is a true fan

I'm fine with Gunner calling all internet fans "fat", but what I'm not fine with is how bad he sucks in the ring. Seriously, he's getting paid to wrestle on television and he's mad about what fans on twitter have to say? Get a life Gunner.

I do not follow Gunner on Twitter but if he is going to be coming up with this sort of comedy I may just have to. "I don't care what the IWC thinks, I don't, I really don't. I swear I don't, I DON'T CARE!!!!!" Clearly he does, and a little to much he sounds like he has overdosed on the oestrogen pills talk about sensitive! Bottom line is he should not care why should it matter what anyone thinks, he wants to get a little bit of perspective and try concentrating on his improving craft rather than scouring the web getting his knickers in a twist about what the fat marks are saying! Funny though that he is so angry about what the fat marks are saying but is not bothered when the skinny, average and in shape marks are saying far worse about him! lol

Wait..who is Gunner again? Is he that hockey player in D2 the Mighty Ducks? Seriously...oh no wait he's that dude that has been stinking up the wrestling ring but he THINKS he has tremendous talent. He reminds me of another guy. Jeff Jarrett. Thinks he's great in the ring, never gonna draw a dime. I love how he lashes out at the IWC though. At least THAT is entertaining... What's he so upset about? That we as IWC members even though we are "fat" sleep with women every night and he, being "a wrestler" goes to bed with a woman he slipped a $20 to? Because let's face it he cant afford to slip $100. That's his monthly salary...

Gunner has a right to be pissed off. Look i know this goes with the territory, but the way the IWC ( and yes i know i'm part of it by posting in this forum) always rants on how TNA is dying or how they can save TNA. TNA has been around longer than Paul Heyman's ECW, so they must be doing something right. So in closing to all the TNA haters, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Wait what.... Wz actually talked about this twat? Shit the last time I remember him mentioned on here outside of random show spoilers was the site saying him and Murphy got hired. I don't even remember what his partner in crime looked like. If Gunner had gone the same way, I wouldn't remember him either.

Gunner is just fucking Whiteknighting his way into something in Tna. No one cares about what he does on the mic or in the ring. Bland..

It's just tipical for a shithead who got a contract to try and protect his company. I don't really mind it because it dosen't affect me. I try not to talk shit about wrestlers on the forums here, but this is one of the few times. The fact of the matter is, I am a fat computer Mark. I don't give a fuck what some no tallented hack says about me.

Gunner will run his course and turn out to most likely be one of us in a few years. He has nothing that will keep him in the Major indi promotions. When his contract runs out, if he dosen't do some real big changing. He will be regulated to about two 8 minute matches a week. Then putting on a janitor suit to help clean up the shit after the shows.

My birds reaction when she saw Gunner attacking Anderson and Sting on Impact last Friday (watch it later here in the uk) "Who the fuck is he?" I explained who he was and blah blah blah.. She said he looked like a twat.

Watched the PPV last night, Gunners backstage interview...Bird asks "who the fuck is he?". I explained it to her again....This proves to me two things:

1 - My bird is pretty useless at remembering things she watches on tv.
2 - Gunner is so fucking bland and mediocre that, even after a few months of being part of TNA's biggest group, people still have no idea who the fuck he is....

So, perhaps he should spend less time on Twitter ragging on the people that watch his show and, I dunno, thinking of ways to stand out so people remember who he is. He's in a spot that someone of his in ring (and speaking) abilities doesn't deserve and he's not really making the most of it.

Although it did make me chuckle him calling all of us fat....they should hire Rosa Mendes when she's released (in about a week I should guess) and have them as the twit and twat connection...

This is nothing but Gunner trying to get himself over. If the message boards don't matter, why is he using them to get over? I've never watched a Gunner match before in my life until I came across his comments. See, it worked for Gunner. And my suspicions were confirmed as well, he is nothing but a vanilla piece of roided out garbage. He wants to stereotype internet wrestling fans as fat, I'll stereotype generic looking muscly wrestlers with generic, bad tattoos as roiders. Turnabout is fair play after all. And by the way, what kind of name is Gunner? A generic one, just like everything else about this guy. I will say this though, I never gave two squirts of piss about Gunner before this. So maybe I should say that this was well played by Gunner, but it still doesn't change the fact that Gunner is generic and boring.

So, Gunner is apparently 12 years old, who'd have thunk it? What's he going to do next? Call the IWC gay?

No matter how many people he calls fat, it doesn't change the fact that he's got the charisma of a ham sandwich and is much less entertaining. I never thought much of the guy as a wrestler, and after this I think even less of him as a person.

What a turd.

He is right tho cause all of you are getting mad and trying to throw burns back which proves his point idc what he said he is entitled to his opinion but i know he would say it to your face also now i know your not gonna say what you feel about him in his face so stop with the talking

I agree with most of his rant. I've been around the IWC for a few years now, and I'm starting to realize how egotistical, out of touch, and unrealistic the IWC is. There are a lot of decent people in the IWC, but most of them are whiny little bitches who can NEVER be pleased.

Is he gonna start calling Samoa Joe a nerd???

Fact is, if the IWC don't matter that much, then why do he, as well as Eric Bischoff, or Michael Cole acknowledge the IWC constantly, insulting it! Because they're trying to get a reaction, and everyone plays right into it!

Gunner isn't a talent, and he looks like he walked in off the street, he is an egomaniac, and I wouldn't expect to see him wrestling in the ME ever.

Also, insulting potential fans out of character is a terrible idea, it just shows how much of a scumbag he is behind the character.

Oh, and No Surrender was a bland Impact, much less a PPV, but that's another topic.

Loving every minute of this. Gunnar fucking rules! Can you imagine if the IWC were actually booking agents for major wrestling companies right now? Holy Shit! You think the wrestling industry has problems now. It would be a non stop train wreck with these idiots booking. Jesus Christ, I parish the thought

Who's Gunner?
(sarcasm)

I hope I don't get dinged for this but I think "Who's Gunner" is as appropriate a comment for a wrestler THAT forgettable.

so again...

Who's Gunner?

I rarely ever post on forums but I feel I have to. It amazes me how personal you all get with each other, so bad that if you feel the person got one over on you, then you start correcting his grammer and spelling...lmao...I mean come on are you kidding me. This is a wrestling forum not grammer. We should not let anything get to us that bad.

So anywayz Gunners comments. Well I am a little bias as I know and have worked with him in North Carolina, was I shocked at his rant, yes, because he normally doesnt speak out like that, but do I think he is wrong NO, we all have an opinion, and the same way he gets on here and says fat smarks is the same way we all get on here and call Cena every name but GOD...lol...we all have an opinion and NO we should NOT hold him to different rules just so we can down him. Also, im sorry but anyone who says he sucks doesnt know what pro wrestling is, I think your taking your personal feelings out on his performance, Gunner is probally one of the most improved wrestlers I have seen in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, The guy is huge, on tv he is big but he is a hell of alot bigger than some of you realize and he moves like a lightweight, next he is healthy! I have watched the guy prepare and there is no "juice" involved! next he gives you all he got in a match, go back and watch the matches when he was getting NO reaction. Gunner didnt give up he still played to the crowd, most wont do that, most are embarrassed. Most of all if you meet him he is very respectful and makes you feel like you matter!!

Now was his post last night a stinger  yes but no one is perfect and for the love of god if you are that butt hurt over his comments then its time to grow up and put your big girl panties on :p and build a nice strong bridge and then get over it....now stop being mad, and get ready to watch some WWE RAW in about 18 minutes :)

Gunner suffers from the same thing a lot of wrestlers suffer from - he's stupid. His comments don't get him heat, they just expose him as someone that is stupid. Someone needs to ghost write Tweets for TNA's wrestlers.

I'm not going to pretend the IWC doesn't have it's share of individuals that can be idiots at times (as I look at myself in the mirror) but those idiots are potential or current fans.

If a guy like Gunner can't use the internet to build his character and relate to fans he should just use it to contact skanks in random cities across the country (like the guys in the NBA).

I don't see how complaining about mediocre wrestlers/products makes someone egotistical or out of touch. Why is it unrealistic to expect wrestlers who don't suck?
Because a vast majority of the IWC are Attitude Era products who only remember the cream of the crop moments. They don't remember all those PPV's where the crowd was dead silent all evening until the main event with SCSA or Rocky. There was a lot of misused talent, bad gimmicks, drug abuse, sexual harassment, poor storylines, and unpopular champions. It's not very different today, except these kids who grew up during the Attitude Era are not kids anymore. They are yearning for their childhood because their adult lives are extremely disappointing. They don't know how to appreciate what they have, and just enjoy the product on a weekly basis. If you come on here and discuss wrestling every single day, of course it's going to be predictable and boring. If there was an IWC back in the Attitude Era, people would be bitching about SCSA always being the champ, and hogging the spotlight from guys like Gangrel.
