Great matches you have seen live.

What wrestling events, be it WWE, TNA, ROH or anything else have you been to?

Also, what are some of the matches you have seen live that were good and that have stuck with you?

I will get into my choices later on.

It was a house show but John Morrison and The Miz vs Shannon Moore and Jamie Noble was very entertaining.

I saw Shelton vs. RVD at backlash for the IC title great match.

But it doesn't compare to a match at a house show that I saw. It was WCW in early 1998 and Hogan was scheduled to go against Benoit. Hogan was in Hollywood filming a movie (allegedly) so we got Savage instead. Lexington is his old stomping grounds so to say he was over was the understatement of the year. He got on the mic and said that for one night only, it wasn't about the NWO. This was Lexington's own Randy Savage. He and Benoit put on a 38 minute classic. No run ins, no storylines or gimmicks, just two guys going at it. Never left the ring for a second. Benoit went for the crossface like 5 times, got it twice, but finally went down to the elbow, after kicking out of the first one. Both guys got a standing ovation. Best match I've ever seen.

Well being in Sydney and all, we don't get Pay Per Views or RAW/SmackDown/ECW TV tapings but I've been to 6 house shows from WWE and 1 I think was WCW but the matches that have stuck with me have been:

1. SmackDown Road To WrestleMania 22 - Fatal Four Way World Heavyweight Championship - Kurt Angle (c) vs Randy Orton vs Mark Henry vs The Undertaker. Kurt Angle pinned Randy Orton with a roll up I'm pretty sure.

2. RAW house show. Street Fight - Triple H vs Umaga. Triple H won with a pedigree.

3. Not really a wrestling match but more a moment. Seeing Denis Rodman getting toilet papered and plastic bottled was funny.

4. SmackDown/ECW house show. World Heavyweight Championship - Edge (c) vs Batista. This was a week or two away from Night Of Champions. Batista won via DQ after interferance from Chavo and Bam.

5. SmackDown/ECW house show. CM Punk vs Shelton Benjamin - CM Punk won with the GTS, lots of wrestling with that one, great match.

6. RAW house show. Triple Threat WWE Championship. Randy Orton (c) vs Jeff Hardy vs Mr. Kennedy. Randy Orton pinned Jeff Hardy after RKO. Fans were very vocal around myself during the match which made the atmosphere enjoyable.

Saw Kerry Von Erich vs. Dino Bravo at a WWF house show when I was a kid. I’m sure it wasn’t a great match, but definitely the most memorable one from the card for me since The Texas Tornado was my favorite wrestler in the WWF at the time. Hogan also faced Earthquake that day. I wish I could remember the entire card so I could count how many now deceased wrestlers wrestled on it. Such a shame...

Sting vs. The Giant at Slamboree 1996 was probably the most excited I've ever gotten over something at a live event. I wanted Sting to win so bad. :(

I saw Dean Malenko vs. Chris Jericho at a WCW house show, which was fantastic. This was during Jericho's whole "Man of 1,004 Holds" mockery. Great stuff.

Saw Sabu do some crazy shit against Justin Credible at an ECW house show back in 1999 during their great feud. I know people here hate Sabu, but the guy gave his body to the fans every single show and you have to respect him for that. I mean, no more then 300 people were at this show and the dude still did unbelievable dives through tables and all that. I'll always remember seeing my dad (who, keep in mind, was never a wrestling fan) just in shock witnessing that crazy motherfucker.

And I guess that's it. I've been to more shows, but those are the most memorable moments from them all.

LAX vs. Beer Money Inc. (Just Roode & Storm at the time)

Two words, four syllables - "Broke-back Moun-tain!"

On the topic of deceased Wrestlers, I got to see Hawk and Hennig and then meet them at the autograph session afterwards before they passed away. I was only about 8 or 9 at the time, I wish I could remember what they said to me.

Best thing I ever saw live was HBK and HHH going through the crowd handing out DX T-shirts.

This night, I was there:

I remember that. Cool moment, Shawn always looked cool in him DX gear. Looked cooler up close and personal after his match when I met him.

Shawn Michaels made Ric Flair a one time member of D-X when RAW came in 06. Must have been when HHH took time off because Stephanie was going to give birth.

They made a D-X re-mix of Flairs music, started out as "WOOOOO....BREAK IT DOWN" and then he came out in a D-X shirt and done the crotch chops.

They beat The Spirit Squad that night.

:)

WWE House Show.November 13th 2006.Fucking Awesome.

We didn't get the best show......I mean come on Takanta vs Funaki is very cool. But we got 2 awesome matches.

Benoit vs Helms.Brillant 10 minutes. The chant of "Let's go Benoit" sends shivers down mah spine.

And the main event of Kennedy,Booker and JBL(Returning for one night only!) vs Taker,Batista and Kane.

We also got 2 awesome promos. One from Chavo.I noticed today was Eddie's first annivesry so chavo cut a awesome promo where I was nearly full of tears. And then JBL called Irelands Englands bitch.I marked out.

I saw The Rock vs. Eddie Guerrero on Raw. The on that is on The Rock's DVD.

At that same show I saw Triple H turn on HBK to start their AWESOME rivalry.

Wow, i've been to a lot of live shows but my favorites are 1996 House Show- Shawn Michaels defending the title against Goldust entertaining to watch HBK always gave it his all

1999 Sunday Night Heat-It was the episode where Terri Runnels told Val Venis that she was pregnant the building was a little stunned and the dark main event that night was a Fatal Four Way Steel Cage Match for the WWE Title- Stone Cold vs. Kane vs. Mankind vs. Undertaker the crowd was electric for that match which made it great

2005 House Show- Batista vs. Triple H in a Street Fight for the World Title, this match was awesome they gave everything as if it were on ppv, also on that card was Y2J vs. Christian, Beniot vs. Edge, and Shelton Benjamin vs. Muhammed Hassan for the IC title awesome card like i said it felt like a pay-per-view

those are probably the best overall cards/matches that i've been to

I've actually only been to one great match and that happened at Badd Blood in 97 (?), where Kane made his debut during the HBK and UT Hell in a Cell match, which I believe was the first one in WWF/E history. Me and my buddy had a great time that day until we found out after the show that Brian Pillman was found dead in his hotel room.

Bulldog vs. HBK One Night Only 1997
Danielson vs. McGuinness World Title vs. Pure

The only two that I knew were going to be great as I saw them. The rest I got in hindsight.

That match was shit. Matt Hardy got a bigger pop as a returning mid carder, than Flair did as a leaving main eventer.
