i just put my $40 base mp3 player through the washing machine and then the dryer. (must of had a blonde moment didnt check the dam pockets of my work clothes.) anyway thought it was stuffed but as i was about to throw it out i turned it on and it worked. Must be my lucky day.
I would love to see an ipod survive that.
Its amazing how the cheaper the brand the better and longer the life is.

The MP3 player's probably thick as shit...they're most likely designed to go through a lot like that.

I remember when MP3 players used to be priced from $150-$250...yep...I put my first one through the wash too when it was purchased at that price. Didn't have the same luck as you though...but you would have only been $40 down the drain should God have got up on the wrong side of the bed at that time...

I actually have a CD player that the lid is broken a bit, the thing looks like it got ran over yet it still works. It was probably only like 30$. I have a Zune now so it doesn't take anymore abuse, but damn that thing did everything from falling on the street to being thrown across the school gym... and landing on the ground...

I can remember reading something about how the folks at Apple tested the iPod by running it through the wash and it still worked, don't know how true that is...wasn't about to go try

And my phone fell once in a sink full of water when I was washing dishes...still worked...I almost cried when it wasn't coming on
