Very much so.
I use IE most of the time, unless I actually need one of the functions provided by the other browsers.
If you want to run the internet in the background, whilst main screening a large scale application, then Internet Explorer can often give you problems, since it uses far, far more RAM than any of the others.
Chrome is far more simplistic, and has the most user friendly interface.
Opera is for the technically obsessive, and is slightly better than all the others in more areas.
Firefox is wholly without merit. It does nothing that isn't done better by another browser, and I will never understand why it has legions of jingoistic fan boys is has patrolling the internet declaring its supremacy.
