Prior to the Gold Rush event, a special pre-show over-the-top battle royale will take place with the remaining superstars on the WZCW Roster who were unlucky enough to not progress through the Gold Rush tournament or return/make their debut after the fact. Whilst there is no official reward given to winning this match, one must assume that the last man standing tall will definitely be receiving a championship opportunity in the future.

Note: Participation is optional - should you not RP, it will NOT count towards your no-show record. We, however, still encourage participation.

Special Gold Rush PPV Deadline is Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:59 PM (Central Time). Extensions are available upon request.

Well I'm going to keep this short as I can. You see I have to prepare for the biggest fight of my life, not career, my life. You see I told the world that my roar would be heard, that Prince has been unleashed, and I saw the faces of all the wrestlers in the back, they laugh, they take me lightly, and then I went out to the ring, to fight a man, that I have no issue with, a man that I actually kinda respect, and I beat him to a pulp. You saw it, he could hardly walk after I was done with him, and then I went to the back and I looked in the faces of those same wrestlers, that laughed and looked at me like a joke, and you know what I saw. I saw fear, worry, and you know what its about time, people are starting to take notice. Now I may not be the must liked here, but you see, I don't hurt people cause I want too, I hurt people cause I have too. You see the money I got from beating Charlie, was more than I thought I could make, and that was on a preshow. And now I have the chance to beat not one, not two, but three wrestlers in one night, in one match. I get to prove once again, that I am here to stay and make it to the top. You see in this match are three other men, which means if I win, I will donate to three different shelters, and change the lives of a few kids forever. So The Beard, Irwin, and Jacobs, and Eternal Question, I'm sorry but I'd be damn if I let anyone of you take this win, take this money from me. You see, one of you guys better bring a damn shotgun and shoot me in the heart, because the only way I'm walking out a loser is if I'm dead. I'm walking out of this match a winner, and then I'm coming straight for some gold here in WZCW. I am Prince, if you haven't heard my roar yet, you will soon.

Again, Derek! This time put all of your weight behind it, like this.

Thump, Thump, Thump

MidWest Fight Team is one of the most premier MMA training facilities in the United States. Located just 20 minutes from Downtown Chicago, it’s the place that Derek Jacobs has called home over the last five months. After his embarrassing exit from WZCW at Meltdown 110, he felt like it was time to find a new outlet to his aggression, and the next best thing to professional wrestling was mixed martial arts. A veteran of the underground fighting rings all around the city, Derek isn’t exactly new to the world of fighting.

Today, one week removed from his return victory against James Howard at Ascension 91, Derek is right back in the gym training.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Nice work! You’re really catching on quick big man. That’s enough for today.

Isaac Johnson, a former heavyweight champion in four different fighting leagues is Derek’s striking/submission coach. A fan of WZCW, Isaac jumped at the chance to train Derek as soon as he walked into his gym.

Thanks Isaac. You gonna take me up on that beer now?

Nah man. You know I don’t drink. Been sober for 5 years now. How do you feel after your first match back?

Derek ponders the question for a second.

Honestly, even though I won it was a tainted victory. I was dead to rights until KO’s music played, but a win is a win.

Isaac slaps Derek on the back and smiles.

Don’t worry brother. Keep up your training the way you are now and you’ll be killin ‘em in no time.

The two men shake hands and Derek walks out of the gym.

After getting to his apartment, taking a shower and smoking a cigarette, Derek makes his way to the John Hancock Center for a business meeting that he had no idea he would be attending until after Ascension. Following his match with Howard, he returned to his locker room where a card was placed on his bag. The only information on the card was an address and a date. The address was to the John Hancock Center, and the date was 4/16.

Upon arrival at the large building, Derek is whisked away into a conference room on the 30th floor. Standing near one of the windows overlooking downtown is a balding man dressed immaculately from head to toe in a three piece suit. After hearing the door open the man turns around and walks towards Derek.

Ah yes, Mr. Jacobs, I've been expecting you. My name is Paul Molini, and quite simply I asked you to be here today on behalf of one of my clients. You see Mr. Jacobs, I represent many powerful people in many different fields. Actors, doctors, politicians..you name 'em, I've represented 'em.

Derek regards the man in front of him for a second before he speaks. His voice is low and deadly.

That's all well and good Mr. Molini, but as you can tell, I'm none of those things. So how's about you tell me exactly why you've called me here, or I'm gonna test the theory of whether pigs fly or not.

Molini pales and takes a step back from Derek. When he speaks again his words fall out in a rush.

Now Mr. Jacobs, please don't be rash! I'm here because one of my most successful clients is in need of your expertise I should say.

This client is a very influential man, and he's also a man in need of protection. Obviously you have made it well known that you'd be willing to offer protection to anyone willing to pay, and my client is very capable of paying you very handsomely.

Derek sits down and motions for Mr. Molini to do the same. Derek props his feet up on the table, and stares at Molini.

Well then by all means Mr. Molini please continue.

Molini releases the breath he didn't realize he was holding, and sits down across from Derek. Opening his briefcase, he pulls out a copy of a contract and slides it across the table to Derek.

After taking a minute to read what the contract entails, Derek signs the paperwork. Smiling, Mr. Molini reaches across the table to put the contract safely back into his briefcase. He's stopped by a very large hand grasping his wrist.

I may have signed that contract just now, but remember this. Your little client doesn't fulfill his end of the bargain, and you'll be looking for a new one, after you get full use of your limbs again.

Derek stalks out of the room, leaving behind a very flustered lawyer.

WZCW Gold Rush
45 minutes until battle royal
___________________________________

Alone in his locker room, Derek slowly wraps his hands, thinking about the match he's about to participate in. His second match back in the company and he's already back to the pre-show of a pay-per-view. His thoughts are interrupted when there's a knock on the door. A stagehand sticks his head in the door and informs Derek that he's being asked to do an interview with Leon Kensworth

A short time later, Derek is standing beside Leon, who motions to the cameraman to start filming.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Derek Jacobs.

The camera pans to include Derek in the shot.

After your successful return to WZCW a couple of weeks ago at Ascension, WZCW management has placed you in the pre-show battle royal tonight. Normally, the winner of the battle royal has received a title shot or another award of some sort, although before tonight no reward has been named. What are your thoughts on the match tonight?

Derek looks at Leon and answers. His voice is low and deep.

Tonight isn't going to be a battle royal, Leon. It's going to be a massacre. When I came back to WZCW, I came back to compete against the best wrestlers in the world; to bring legitimacy back to the company. I thought after beating James Howard at Ascension that the competition would get harder, and instead I'm in the ring with two guys who couldn't fight their way out of a brown paper bag and another one who while he has a nice winning streak, still couldn't lace my boots. What's going to happen tonight is simple, Leon. I'm going to go to the ring, throw out the carcasses of three victims and then come back and enjoy a nice long shower, which is probably going to last longer than the damn match itself.

And if you do win, what would you like the reward to be?

Derek ponders the question for a second, then turns his attention back to Kensworth.

You know, ever since I thought about coming back to WZCW, I've had to ask myself if I'm really good enough to compete with the best, and I believe without a shadow of a doubt that not only can I compete with the best, not only can I beat the best, but I can humiliate the best. I can destroy the best. Simply put Leon, I can conquer the best that WZCW has to offer. So When I win the battle royal tonight, I expect WZCW management to give me the title shot that I deserve. I don't care if it's for the Elite X championship, the Eurasian championship, or the Heavyweight championship, I guarantee you I will be champion very soon.

Not only that, but I guarantee you that the battle royal won't be the only way I make an impact tonight.

Derek walks away, ending the interview.

Bruce Irwin is sat down on a wooden chair looking intently at the camera.

It was expected to be a grand adventure. The place where the streets are paved with gold. Justice and truth. Bright light city gonna set my soul. Welcome to Miami. New York, Newwww York!

Here I expected to get fame and fortune as a wrestler but I realised just how blood hard it was. I thought I could just walk in and give a few crikey's and streuths, cook a shrimp on the barbie and wrestle a croc. I was wrong.

Actually, I would say the entire thing has been a failure. I have no one to blame but myself. Who am I? A loveable Aussie or a cop who wants to make the world a better place? How does that even fit in with WZCW?

Vast is the undertaking. It's doable, very doable. Just look at how my performances have picked up recently. All since the Beard, a fire in my belly and a desire to be the best. That and my ass being kicked by the Captain.

Everything has picked up since he decided to partner with me. There is trust, unity and solidarity. He knows how I think even before I think it. He also seems to have a bit of a wrestling background which helps me a lot.

Honestly, I'm not sure how to feel about this battle royale. Maybe I should send in a replacement. Is that even an option? Imagine I sent the Captain out. It would be brilliant. The competitors in the ring would be confused.

Everyone in the crowd would ask what was going on then I can run down and throw the others over the top. I know The Eternal Question and Alhazred will be up for this. After last weeks match, Crocodile Bruce Irwin is up for this match.

Alhazred is actually in another match now I think about it. The Question though is the one to look out for. Prince, now he's a character. Can I really be mad at a man who wants to build orphanages? Can I really take a man in a tiger get up seriously? Oh who am I kidding?

Really though, the guy is wanting to build orphanages with his prize money. Should I give him the funds if I win? Yeah, I have another job any way. So listen Prince, if I win this match I will donate my prize funds to the orphans of the world.

Do you know who doesn't like orphans? Derek Jacobs. He once said “I hate orphans”, when asked about this again he said “I hate them”. When asked for a third time he said “I hate all the orphans in the whole world”. He hates all the orphans? Do you know who's an orphan? Batman. Can you trust a man who hates Batman? I can't.

Listen, my thoughts on this match change by the second but I am ready to make an impact. I've been throwing sacks of potatoes over the fence of my garden. My neighbour was a bit upset but I just ran round and did the same again. It's the best way to learn.

Erinsbrough will be proud, I hope. Cobb County, Georgia will realise I care about them. WZCW is a big part of my life and I'm here to stay. Yes, I am. I'd like to see how this battle royale can change my life. There's only one way to find out.

Gold Rush: Allstate Arena, Chicago. Don't wait for the opening match, tune in to WZCW Network before the match. See the future of this company, see us put on a show.

Everyone, tune in. Tell your Mom, Dad, Gran and Grandpa. Tell your neighbour. Your colleague. Tell your local law enforcement officer. Tell the woman at the post office. The man at the bank. Tell the mayor of Keystone City! Tell everyone.

No need to be disappointed, the four of this will show you what we can do. I'll be stood tall at the end of the match, but the others can hold their head up high.

Did you see? That's what they will ask. I heard legends of a man but his time has long gone. I want to make my own legend. The time is now.

See you Sunday.
