Going Forward: What Does Raw Need To Do?

As Jack-Hammer said, this really shouldn't be that tough.

There are a number of key things I think they need to do.

First, provide more time for feuds, including ones that don't involve a title. WWE, as others have pointed out, is more about the entertainment than the in-ring action. We need to have a reason to care about the matches. Every match at a PPV should have some kind of build-up.

Second, devote more time to the lower.mid-card talent (including the Divas and the tag teams). Everything doesn't have to revolve around the top handful of people on the roster. Obviously, the main focus will be on the Cena's and Punk's of the world, but they can have more of the lower level people involved in matches that don't involve jobbing to the big guys.

Finally, do not fill it will pointless skits and an over-emphasis on the social media thing. I don't use Facebook, Twitter, or any of the other social media things, but I also understand that millions do and they need to include it. I thought the match graphics for the Cena/Punk match were very good and drew attention to the social media stuff. What I don't want is, again, like many others have pointed out, to be inundated with the pointless ramblings of anyone that can post a video. I want to see professionals doing what they do best. I come here when I want to see other people's opinions on what is going on.

I think they have already begun the rebuilding of a more relevant tag team division, something I hope they continue to build. As well as this I also feel that the importance of the IC title will and needs to be built up again, completely proven by the fact that the public voted for it to be defended on Raw1000, people want to see it.

Away from this from a purely presentation point of view, new theme music/logo/wwe belt help make things feel more refreshing. I wasn't a massive fan of the song at Raw1000 but it was certainly better than that AWFUL nickelback song. If that returns next week im going to be annoyed.

Also, is this now the end of the "supershows"? If not then it needs to be, or they need to just make it official that the brand extension is over. Things like the rebuilding of tag division and renewing relevance of IC title will suffer if half of Raw's show is still made up of pointless 3 man tag matches involving "smackdown" superstars and WHC feud continuation. Keep it on Smackdown. Not only from a championship perspective, other feuds not involving the title would also gain more TV time, give the PPVs back multiple matches where people actually CARE whats happening. The new 3 hour run time could more than do this.
