GM for RAW yet?

Getting Noticed By Management
Maybe this is a silly question, but with Trump gone does this mean the search for a GM is still in the making? The WWE needs to pick the ball up here, and make a strong move already. I honestly feel that they should turn Lawler heel, and him take over RAW. Kill the "The King" gimmick, and all that silly shit he says. Make him serious, and vindictive. A side of Lawler we have never seen would be nice. It would change the feel of the show. Any choices of your own?

I´m not a big fan of such sudden turns, and turning Lawler heel would kill most of his momentum even though he was an awesome heel back in the days when he slapped Kaufmann and all that but now ? Not so much.

It was rumored that Ric Flair would become GM of Raw but I never really thought it would happen and it obviously didn´t.

If I had to pick someone on the current roster I´d pick William Regal.

He can talk, he can create heat and he just has that authority aura to him.

I really liked his short run as GM, he did a great job and was very entertaining at actually a breath of fresh air at that time.

If I could pick anyone (Heck they had Trump buy RAW) I´d pick Eric Bishoff.

They what you want about him, about his dirty tactics in the MNW or his overall attitude but this man is a genius, always was and always will be.

He is the incarnation of a GM.

yeah they will still be looking to for a GM (might still be flair). lawler as a heel again hmm yeah it could work but droping the king gimmick that like asking ric to stop being the dirtest player or the nature boy he been the king for 30+ years

how about batista... he's injured now so bring him back and make him gm to put him in the spotlight its a short term move but he's out another 3 months so do that... however i doubt that they would do that so it'll prbly be ric or maybe one of the mcmahons is coming back....

Put Jim Ross in! He could bring a more serious do-right side to things.......and that my friends hasnt been done in quite some time....I can hear his catch phrase now..."I'll fire your ass" haha

Keep Donald Trump for a while

As much as people hate this storyline and view it as stale, I actually like Donald spicing up RAW. Celebrity guests as GM, commercial free raw's occasionally, quality matches, etc it wouldn't be too bad.

RAW almost hit a 5.0 rating in the second hour this week.

I don't think the WWE will ditch this aww so fast. I guess Vince fired Trump because he doesn't want to confuse people that Trump obviously bought RAW but the WWE can figure out a way to get him somewhat involved more.

I'd prefer Donald's gimmick rather than the annoying Teddy Long "kissing the faces asses" gimmicks. I hated it so much back in the old days of Smackdown.

Screw it Matt Hardy just got injured. I'd put him in the GM roll and I garuntee he can garner heat as a Heel GM. This is also a way for him to get on the wrong side of some Main-Event Faces, hell even Main Event Heels. So when Hardy is ready to wrestle again he would actually have a claim in the Main-Event area and he can really test the waters up there. Being a GM he can make this match, screw this person over, dictate certain things to his liking, and if he is still the GM while he is wrestling he can insert himself in the WWE title run much like Regal was about to do when he was GM and King of the Ring.

OK, first ill comment on your Lawler idea. I like the idea of a truly heel lawler, but not one that is serious and vindictive. He needs to be the ultimate obnoxious smart-ass like he used to be. Also, if he were GM they should play "The King" gimmick up not get rid of it. He should have a fucking throne in his office, and have various scantily clad female servants. He believes that he is in charge so should be treated like royalty. He should not even refer to himself as the GM of RAW it should be more like "the King of RAW" or "the ruler of RAW".

As for other options for General Manager i still want Hogan, because Mr.Hogan in a fucking suit on Monday nights would be pretty sweet (no homo).

I don't see Good 'ol JR as GM. I also don't see Lawler dropping the King gimmik to be GM either. Maybe Ric but it's doubtful to me. Biscoff and Regal have both already been managers and to me regal wasn't worth a shit. He kept turning out the lights and that sucked. Bitchoff abused the 3-min. warning shit that produced one crappy wrestler who left after 3mw, and a wrestler who did 2 gimmiks afterward, Super hero in training with Hurricane, and Umaga, neither lasted long and he is now fired.

In my opinion, it should be someone who's never done it before. No not Batista. Shane McMahon. It would give the feel that Vince is pulling all of the strings. It would also help to bring about a successful heel turn for the chairman. Besides, a show owned by the McMahons should be run BY a McMahon. That I believe, should be none other than Shane.

Even though this will never happen it would be more unpredictable and fresh then having the McMahons, Regal, Bischoff, Flair, or even Batista or Matt Hardy who are injured by the way and full time wrestlers. My pick for GM would be the legend Macho Madness himself, Randy Savage. Talk about ratings. The Savage DVD is undoubtly the hottest thing selling in WWE right now, just think of all the merchandise they can sell of a Savage return just like they did with Hogan. I'm sure Savage is a long shot from anything with WWE but a guy can dream.. just don't put some chode like Mike Adamle or in this case Michael Cole as GM... then I would quit watching WWE altogether.

Hmmmm, a new GM, I would like to see someone like Roddy Piper, or heres a long shot : Jaques Rougeau. I would also like to see something along the lines of Trump coming out next wee and laughing at Vince because he can't sell Raw back to McMahon because he already sold it to Eric Bischoff for a 1/4 of what it's worth.

I actually like the idea of macho man as GM out there in one of his flashy suits. but i'm not so sure he can tone it down enough to survive the current rating system...lol but oooooooh yeah id completely mark out for it.

They need something big, and Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair has been done. The good guy GM is only good if you have a heel Vince making decisions or something. HBK would be interesting, cause they could have a DX reunion, and get the crowd going. However he is enjoying his time as a wrestler. Possible a legend that Randy Orton has injured? Someone big, a decent name, Bret Hart would make huge impact, and not really shock the media, but shock the wrestling world. No Stone Cold, he gets boring quick in that role. Mick Foley is doing the same thing in TNA, so no go on that... Well, WWE needs a crooked GM, someone who will give themselves title shots, and create heat, kind of start the good guy vs. bad guy routine. Christian should be the new raw GM.It would be perfect because he can set up a stable, and still be able to wrestle in matches. In fact fix some big matches and win the title start one of those alliance storylines. He is perfect for that.

oh now the eric bischoff thing i like! that would be awesome.

i am not so concerned with the naming of the GM as opposed to the storyline.

I think vince should name someone that he THINKS will run raw the way he wants it run. But right there, in front of Vince, the dude, or chick, starts making decisions that vince starts to question.

Right as vince has had enough and is ready to fire this person, they pull out their "iron-clad" contract signed by linda, and tell him tough titties.

let vince scratch his head on that one a while...

All of these posts are great ideas which leads me to believe that Vince will never do any of them. So I hope I am wrong, but I feel that Vince will use one of the old standby's as GM. I fear it will be the old stupid people that they never do anything with.

Some good ideas here...most of them too good to happen. I still think JBL is a good idea...he's great on the stick, heels can make fun of how he retired and he can demean the faces. Plus there's always the idea that he can still work a match if he needs to. All of the things needed to have a good GM imo...

i don't like the Donald Trump storyline but you can't argue with ratings.. they may have got it because of commercial free.. i'm pretty sure next week won't be as high. Kepp it up with Trump.. why the hell do a 1 week storyline?

Since people are throwing out ideas of who the BEST GM would be. Unrealistically. Bret Hart. Imagine that.. damn, even i would watch again. You could always make it HBK. But those wont happen.. i'm predicting Randy Ortons wife!!! lol

Are you serious? The King turn heel? The king is hilarious. I don't want to see another funny guy turn into a boring, monotone performer (eh em..Chris Jericho.)

You know who should be GM? STONE. COLD. STEVE. AUSTIN! His stint as co-GM was great and ratings were pretty high, so I think he'd draw some good numbers and attendance. Who doesn't like Stone Cold?

I don't really think it matters who it is. If the writers write good storylines the GM shouldn't be the focus anyway. Granted Adamle as a GM sucked, but that's because he kept messing everything up. The only impact the GM should have on the show is when it's first announced who it is. After that it's up to the writers.

They need a GM who can stand up for himself if need be. Someone who the heels won't be able to walk all over, and that faces will respect.

Just imagine. Next Monday night. Vince comes out to open RAW with the huge headline of the show being that he will name a new RAW General Manager tonight! Throughout the show there's anticipation and everyone is questioning him on who it is. Later on, Randy Orton, off a brutal 3 Stages of Hell victory over Triple H the night before, comes out, and as WWE Champion, demands that whomever the new General Manager is comes out and presents himself to Orton, so Orton can let him know how things are run around here. The crowd is silent, Orton getting pissed, when suddenly...

IF YA SMELLLLLL

The crowd goes nuts, and out comes The Rock to the biggest ovation ever on RAW. The Rock comes in the ring, he and Orton talk back and forth, with The Rock announcing himself as the RAW GM. Eventually, the segment and show ends with The Rock giving Orton a Rockbottom.

Hey...we can dream can't we?

But seriously, it'll be something stupid like Shane McMahon or something.

2 different ppl come to mind... The Whole F-in' Show, Mr. Monday Night, :robvandam: or recently "fired", the ever so lovely, Santina Marella( "it" was Ms. Wrestlemania after all) or one more for shits and giggles, good ol' Ms.Hancock Stacy Keibler in full get up.. If that don't get the ratings up, I'm certain it'll get all the guys up... Giggidity!!!!!

Well, I'm happy to know that next week's Raw will probably be a good one, and that's why I'm happy that I'm going to be there. My suggestions? How about one of the Mcmahons? Talk about a Freaking power trip. Not only do they run Raw. They own the WWE. Who's going to tell them off?

If it's going to be a superstar, I think that the Jerry Lawler being "king of raw" is a good idea. But I don't want to lose him on Commentary. So I would probably have to pick Ted Dibiase SR. I think he would be a great idea. I can imagine him paying off superstars, so his kid will go on a winning streak. Then, break away from Legacy. Ted is great on the mic, and he really knows how to get heat. What do you guys think?

wow, obviously you never watched wrestling from 1993-2007. Jerry the King was a heel announcer that always called the fans idiots. Bashed every face, and people loved him as a heel. Now he jokes, but he used to be very sexual. Which was hilarious. Now he just goes "Oh, Kelly. Oh...." like he's "up". But nothing like he used to be. Heel King was the best.

I liked the idea Trump said last night; about a guest gm every week. I know WWE couldn't do this for a long time but it would be interesting to maybe run through the summer. It could be one of the Raw roster one week, A legend like Flair the next, and then, like trump said, a celebrity. What better hollywood star than WWe born and bread The ROck!!!!!!

aNWAY i THINK wwE SHOULD TRY THAT FOR AWHILE
