Well how far of a fall from the top can you get more than James Storm? Now not saying I don't like Daniels and what he and Kazarian are doing as Bad Influence, but I think with the apparent lack of Faces in TNA to great heels like Aries and Bad Influence, Storm should be competing to be the top face in the company. Therefore being in championship contention.

Now I'm not saying this is going to be a bad match or anything, but I think we could insert perhaps Storm, A Double, or Bully Ray and make the title match a four way and add another dimension and add some progress for everything that happens for the following weeks.

Overall this match between Daniels and Storm will be solid, but nothing spectacular. Looking for Storm to pick up a victory in a tough fought match at about the12 minte mark via Last Call Superkick.

This match up makes me sad. After Daniels beat AJ in their "one final match" encounter, I was looking forward to maybe one final push for the fallen angel. But this...looks like he'll be back into his jobbing position. Bad enough Bad intentions lose to Chavo fucking Guerro, but now, as it seems, Storm will also be derailing Daniels.

On the other hand, I guess I'm not opposed to Storm picking up some much needed momentum...but there's something about James Storm that just doesn't make me excited at all. I don't know what, he's a good wrestler, and cuts some decent promos, has good in ring storytelling....it's just something isn't there for me.

So yeah...Storm to win.

How has he fallen? Sure, Storm has suffered due to the Jeff Hardy title run, but that just means his time will come. They have tested the waters with Storm, and he has proven that he can be a major main event player. They just have to use Hardy while they still can. Storm's turn will come.

How does this match up halt any Daniels push? If anything it adds to it. Daniels is facing one of TNA's top talents. Hell, I wish there were more matches like this on PPV cards. Simple one on one match-ups between two great talents with no need for any special stimulation. A loss isn't going to hurt Daniels at all.

As for the match, Storm wins. Easy as that. Storm needs to keep up with his momentum so when that time I alluded to comes, he will be completely ready.

I agree with this. This will help Daniels a lot IMO. he is working with one of if not the top face in the company. The build could have been better, but still. I think Storm easily wins the match, and moves back into the main event picture, but Daniels will come out of this looking good as well. I am sure this will be one of the best matches on the card.

I'm sorry I chuckled at that a little. Jeff Hardy. That is all.

Furthermore, I don't see how this does Daniels any favors. He loses to storm, then what? Back to feuding with Hernandez/Chavo? AJ Styles returns and beats him again? He loses to Kurt Angle? I can't see anywhere but down from here.

This match is something I'm truly excited about and while I may be tempted to presume Daniels is being sacrificed at the alter of The Cowboy, I'm going to officially state that I think that The Fallen Angel may actually win this match. This will be as fine as one could hope for and may be the beginning of an excellent feud that will freshen things up for all parties involved.

Gotta go with the beer drinking, Deer skinning redneck in this one. Storm needs to get back in the world title picture as soon as possible and take the belt. I can't see Daniels winning unless Kaz helps him steal one.

This screams "filler" almost as bad as a Finals match, following by the Championship defense. Oh, wait. Well, I guess this ppv is covering all its bases. :lmao:

I'm curious how James Storm can go from being the top guy in the Bound for Glory series. To becoming the #1 Contender, yet losing his shot on a random episode of iMPACT!, to not even being booked, to now being randomly thrown on the card just so people don't forget about him. Tell me again how he's one of the hot, top, names in the Company???

Christopher Daniels has always been a mid-card Superstar who's waiting for that one breakout moment to jump into Main Event status. He's like the Dolph Ziggler of TNA. All the right looks, moves, and abilities. Yet the Company just doesn't fully know how to book him.. ever. Maybe they'll get the clue, and place him into a jumping point from this match - into a feud with Jeff Hardy next.

As for this actual contest. No clue. It has little to no point, except James Storm is more or less bored and "defending" the honor of AJ Styles - a man who last I seen cut a semi-heel promo and walked out randomly. I can't imagine they'll let James Storm lose, but it isn't exactly like winning on ppvs is doing him any good either.

If it weren't for an X-Division Finals contest, this would be an opening bout and forgettable before the end of hour one.

It does seem to me that James Storm has fallen in TNA. He's got all the tools to be a main eventer in TNA but, for whatever reason, they just won't pull the trigger on him. At this time last year, he was a top contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Now, he's in a mid-card filler feud with Daniels for no other reason, it seems, other than fighting for AJ Styles' honor.

Six months ago I'd have gone with James Storm no questions asked. However, I'm going with Daniels here, especially if he has his lackey Kazarian at ringside with him.

That's what I was thinking too. Most people expect James Storm to win here and get back in the title picture but what if it's Daniels who wins and gets put in the title picture next? Daniels is already on a hot streak, a victory here would do him more good than it would for Storm as it would build more momentum for him to become a title contender. Next they could book another 8 Card Stud Tournament on Impact to determine the #1 contender to Jeff at Lockdown and have Daniels win it to make it official. There's not a lot of tag teams in TNA right now, so I don't see who Bad Influence has left to face there. I don't know if he should dump Kaz or keep him on as a lackey, either way I'd like see him win this match and finally get his big break and jump into a feud with Hardy next for the belt. I don't see Storm going for the title again even if he wins this match, he's had chance after chance but everytime he's won a big match and looked like he would go for the belt again, TNA have dumped him back down the card instead, they just don't seem to believe in him anymore for some reason and I've kinda given up hope on him making it back into the title picture aswell. And wouldn't it be some comeback story for AJ Styles if AJ was to return and win the X-Division Title, cash it in at Destination X and win the title off of the man who ran him out of the company (I don't believe TNA will live up to that 'no title shot for 1 year' clause or 'one final time' between Daniels & AJ), or win the BFG series and beat Daniels for the title at BFG.

Dixie Carter announced via Twitter earlier today that the winner of this match will get a TNA World Heavyweight Championship match on the January 24th episode of Impact Wrestling. This adds some meaning to the match, but I dunno why they didn't start the whole program off with this. Maybe it could've drummed up some additional buys for the ppv, plus it wouldn't have made the match feel like mostly throwaway filler.

So, Dixie Carter just announced that the winner of this match-up will receive a World Championship match on the 1/24 episode of iMPACT!

It's amazing how much one stipulation can change a match from being a filler, to being worth something.. and yet still meaning nothing through it all because typically random World title matches on iMPACT don't result in any.... wait, this is TNA, the place where Championship's change hands on their weekly tv show more than their ppv's.

Sooooo, this makes me beg for Christopher Daniels to win even more, as it could result in an undecided finish on iMPACT, which leads to a rematch for Lockdown. (Jeff Hardy v. Christopher Daniels inside a steel cage has ratings written all over it)

On the flip side, James Storm could win another meaningless Championship match and then get goated into giving it to Bobby Roode this Thursday.. or should he actually get it, get screwed by Christopher Daniels anyways - or maybe a returning AJ Styles?

Either way, this stipulation doesn't add much more to the appeal of this match. Although it doesn't add to the appeal of future feuds and the hope that Daniels might finally get his small Main Event push.

EDIT: Way to completely undercut me, Jackhammer. :p
