Generic Signature Discussion!

Just wondering but if you have a signature that eventually catches on, will it define who you are on this website? Like my Michael Cole sig since i've started using it has gotten me some good attention.

But my question is if your sig does get pretty popular among posters, will you be known for just having that sig? Has that happened to anyone on this site? Have you had such a popular sig you became known for it?

This is sort of a bad thing as well because your not really known for your posting but you are simply known as "that guy with a funny sig" any way since this is probably considered spam I decided to post here.

Also in your opinions what makes a good sig? Does have to be "vintage"? Does it need certain details to it? Like what makes a sig good?

Actually, I think avatars are more recognizable than sigs. I change my sig from time to time but they all usually follow the same pattern (300x500, usually an unpopular character), with two random quotes beneath. My name changes from time to time, too. They all have the word Doc in them, but still...they change.
But my avatar won't change. He's Dude Love.

Well actually, out of the three things you can recognised from... you sig is probably last. Let's say there are three ways to "get over" in WZ Forums. First is the Avatar area, as it is first & many people generally stick with the one Avatar. Razorback thought I was Little Jerry Lawyer once.
Second, which not many people use, is the gimmick. Tenta supports Tenta, Becca, supports HBK, SavageTaker supports Savage, all these Taker fans support Taker, & I support Mickie James. Lastly is the sig, its after the post which not many people read...

Well, look at my posts... Mickie Avatar with Mickie Sig... did I mention I am one of the major Mickie marks & an avid womens wrestling fan? I defend the divas, especially Mickie, like armageddon was happening tomorrow. It seems to be working since I get green repped for my work. Seems like I'm a gimmick poster now...

... just hope I don't get cursed by being inducted into the John Tenta Memorial for Terrible Gimmicks. However, I could use the exposure!

EDIT: Doc, you are on the verge to having a gimmick. Change everything to Dude Love... but I still think this nobody sig you got going is good enough.
