I remember really liking this movie when it first came out, but it's on IFC right now, and what a self-indulgent artsy piece of crap this is.

If I could go back in time 5 years, I would slap myself in the face for liking this.

I don't know what it is, I was looking through the guide, saw it was on, was like "Oh hey, I'll throw this on, I haven't seen it in awhile. Lost the DVD when I moved, but I'll record it on DVR." but I sort of found myself rolling my eyes throughout the movie quite a few times.

And Natalie Portman REALLY looks like Anne Frank in the last scene right now.
