Going watching Black Label Society tonight!

Hollywood Naitch

The current reigning and defending
And I am so excited I may vomit!

This should be an awesome gig, I cannot wait to see Big Zakk and the boys. I have seen the set list and it looks pretty sweet.

1.The Beginning...At Last
2.Crazy Horse
3.What's in You
4.The Rose Petalled Garden
5.Funeral Bell
6.Overlord
7.Parade of the Dead
8.In This River
9.Fire It Up
10.Guitar Solo
11.Godspeed Hell Bound
12.The Blessed Hellride
13.Suicide Messiah
14.Concrete Jungle
15.Stillborn

I could take or leave "The Blessed Hellride", "The Beginning At Last" and "Rose Pettled Garden", and would replace them with "13 Years Of Grief", "Bleed For Me" and "Death March", and would like to have seen "I Never Dreamed" and "Forever Down" in the set, but there are a few BLS anthems in there.

It will ROCK!

Man I heard their new album when it came out. Damn good stuff.

Overlord and Crazy Horse are insane!

Good for you Naitch!

I have their latest album, some of it is brilliant. I would probably say "Mafia" is my favourite work of theirs, with "Shot To Hell" second. Every album they have done has had alot of good material on it though, there isnt much to choose between them.

I wasn't a big fan of "Stronger Than Death" though, probably the weakest album for me although again there were a few great tracks on it.

Have to admit I ain't haerd any of their stuff properly before Order of The Black.

But Wylde is pretty good. Even without the pinch harmonics :p

Why would you want to hear 'Bleed For Me' live? I mean the drum beat doesn't change at all in the ENTIRE song. I'd be surprised if the drummer didn't fall asleep while playing it.

That guitar solo will be 30 minutes long too.

It was a brilliant gig, even the support band Godsized were really good too. I had never heard of them before but the venue was packed for their set and I am wondering if they are an up-and-coming band in the US??

BLS absolutely smashed it, Zakk sounded awesome and it was nice to see 2 big banners of Dimebag drop from the rafters during "In This River". "The Blessed Hellride was played electric on a double-necked guitar too, which really surprised me, it was one of the best songs they did.

Best songs: "Fire It Up", "Overlord", "The Blessed Hellride", "Stillborn" and "In This River"

May I ask you, how many hours lasted this performance? I know it started at 7 pm

Not as good as me seeing Rob Zombie last night, it was immense

Dude, which White Zombie covers did they do at that one, because they played 'More Human Than Human' and another one at Brixton, but i was so drunk i can't remember what the second cover was.

Highlight for me was 'Lords of Salem' and 'Werewolf Women of the SS'. Sadly he didn't play 'Feel So Numb'.

Doors opened at 7, I got there about 7.45ish as my brother was late arriving with the tickets, and Godsized were just about to start when I got in.

I would say they went for 45-50mins, and then there was only a 20 min or so break before BLS who came on just after 9 and were on til about 10.40.

Not a huge length set, just normal but I think the doors opened earlier than most gigs and the show finished a bit earlier than usual to let people get back to the train station which is a 20min walk or so.

I reckon opening doors at 7 rather than 7.30 and finishing at 10.30 instead of 11 is a good idea. I hated having to fucking sprint to the station after a gig.
