Gang Wars

This is a thread for all you guys that love WarGames, Survivor Series, and Lethal Lockdown. Pretty simple idea. Pick who you think were the best teams in two of these match types, and who would win if they faced each other.

Example: Stings WarGames team from Fall Brawl 93 vs. Hogans Team from Survivor Series 89. To even the field, we'll say the match is WarGames style, but in the Hell in a Cell cage.

P.S. A wrestler can only be on one team. Ex: Sting can't be on both teams

Here's a couple picks:

Wrestle War 92: Sting, Steamboat, Koloff, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham

VS.

Survivor Series 03: Shawn Michaels, RVD, Booker T, Bubba, D-Von


I think these are two of the greatest 5 man teams ever assembled in wrestling. Both teams have no weak links. Also, both teams have a good mix of main eventers and mid carders. In the end, I think Shawns team would be the winners due to overall talent.

Lockdown 2007: Kurt Angle, Sting, Samoa Joe, Jarrett, Rhino

VS.

Survivor Series 2001: Rock, Jericho, Kane, Undertaker, Big Show


This match has two all star teams in it. The wrestling advantage is certainly with the TNA team, but the power advantage goes to the WWE hands down. In the end, I think team WWE would pull out the win.

Fall Brawl 95: Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, Lex Luger

VS.

Survivor Series 04: Triple H, Batista, Edge, Snitsky


The Fall Brawl 95 team might be the greatest team ever assembled. Triple H's team also has a hell of a lot a talent on it. The main problem is the weak link in Snitsky. Hogan's team takes this hands down.

Fall Brawl 1997 War Games NWO (Hollywood Hogan/Nash/Hall/Syxx/Curt Henning) vs Survivor Series 01 (Rock, Jericho, Kane, Undertaker, Big Show)

For the sake of argument I'm including Curt Henning since he switched teams to the NWO mid match in 97.

I think this would be a great match up on paper - Nash vs Big Show in battle of big men, Undertaker vs Hogan in a battle of ring legends, Rock vs Hall and Jericho matches up well against Syxx, done as a War Games style match in the cage or an Elimination Chamber style this would be intense. Plus Jericho and Taker are traditionally very good workers, Syxx & Nash could be when motivated. Hogan was always limited but he knew what he could do and did it well, his star power alone is worth something in a match this big.

In the end I think Survivor Series 01 would win in a cage style environment, too much size with Big Show, Taker, & Kane - In a traditional Survivor Series style match I would take NWO, Nash was always a craft rulebreaker, as was Henning, and the speed and skill of Hening and Syxx would be enough to offset the power advantage by SS01 in tag team match.
