From WWF To WWE

What would you have changed WWF to? I remember thinking WWE? That's a shit name.

It bugged the crap out of me at first, now I'm just used to it.

I think it should have stayed WWF. No one gives a damn about the World Wildlife Fund. They could have changed their name and it wouldn't have made a difference. If I were that judge, I'd have thrown that case out.

Second thought, why couldn't they both keep it? Its not like they compete with each other. There about as far away as you get from crossing paths.

What's really stupid is that in 1986 the World Wildlife Fund changed their name to The World Wildlife Fund of Nature, so they should have just changed their logo to WWFN instead of WWF then allow WWE to be the WWF, besides when someone says WWF people automatically think wrestling not wildlife, it's dumb WWE should never have had to change their name IMO

The only thing that bothers me about it is that they have to blur out any WWF logos and anyone saying "WWF". That's really obnoxious. I sometimes find it distracting.

Thats what makes it all the more assinighn by those wildlife hippie fucks. ALL of the fucking trouble the WWE has to go to edit the WHOLE fucking video library, and basically erase their history. Thats such bullshit. The words WWF are SO much more synomonous with wrestling than that other shit is ridiculous. The whole situation offended me very bad at the time it happened, and still does.

To everyone complaining, remember that the WWF/E was the one who was at fault, not the World Wildlife Fund. The Wildlife gave McMahon permission to limited access to that which they trademarked. McMahon didn't abide by the law, so the Wildlife came down on them.

So, when you complain about video library and history and all, that is not the fault of The Wildlife Fund, it is the fault of Vince McMahon.

As for what they should change it to...WWWF is just as good as WWE if you ask me. But, of course, WWE can be sold to investors easier, so it makes more sense.
