Foley Is Worse Than Coach

Y 2 Jake

Slightly Autistic
I'm not even joking. At least Coach had an excuse for being uninsightful, as he's never been a full time wrestler.

I disagree entirely, I've started to enjoy Smackdown a great deal more now Coach has gone. When he was on commentary, you'd have these awful long pauses where he was trying to finish an anecdote that he'd rushed into just to plug the silence. Like you say, he's never had proper in-ring experiance, so he was never really qualified to talk about how each wrestler was feeling etc. I also think that he didn't play off Cole as well as he should've done, clearly there may have been a struggle coming to terms with a face/face partnership.

Foley on the other hand has been able to do this quite well. He gets in his fair amount of cheap shots on Cole without every seeming 'heelish', he's entertaining and quirky which can be a godsend when the match in the ring sucks. A lot of people were worried when he took the job that he'd be too interested in getting himself over...not the case in my opinion, his insight into the in-ring psychology is fascinating and accurate, he can add a whole new dimension on a match, and he's more than capable of talking up or putting down any wrestler in the ring.

It's also pleasing to see that Cole seems to have upped his game as a result, he was really faltering with Coach, with JBL, and Tazz before him, he was at the top of his game. I hope in the coming months we'll see that full return of form.

Explain how Foley is awesome.

Allright. Well for one, he has an in-depth knowlage of the wrestling business since he has been wrestling for over 10 years.

He is able to tell stories using his own personal experiences which make SmackDown! more enjoyable.

No offence, but I can't stand listening to Coach for 2 hours. His voice is annoying, and it seems like he is trying WAY too hard when he was commentating.

Foley actually knows what he is talking about, and dosen't over-do it.

Plus, his voice is better than Coach's.

Foley was great during Kozlovez Entrance-

"Man this guy need so music!Bah bah bah bah do do do!"

Jamican style.

He's been wrestling for close to 20 years, if not more. So I'm sure he does have an in depth knowledge of wrestling. My only question is Why isn't he using it?

So he's talking about himself, and not about the talent wrestling?

So you don't like Coach, so Folye is better by default?

Foley actually knows what he is talking about, and dosen't over-do it. .

He under-does it.

Right.

Foley's voice literally put me to sleep last night, as much as I hate to say it they guy really isn't that good at commentating, he's just kinda boring, I really think their are better ways of using Mick, like putting him in some sort of authority position or have him manage a stable or something

You know Flair is done with wrestling why not make him the color commentator for SD!, he'd be a hell of a lot more entertaining to listen to than anybody else they've had recently

Worse than Foley, I assure you. I'll try to find some on You Tube.

He involves the talent wrestling, drawing on personal experience.

But he doesn't. He talks about himself. JBL is a fine example of putting over talent, as was Joey Styles in ECW.

JBL was God as a commentator. SmackDown! was so enjoyable to watch then.

Joey Styles was awesome. He should be put back. Just fire Mike Adamle, he's not gonna learn.
