Have fun! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU VOTE FOR THE BAND YOU INTEND TO VOTE FOR! MOVING FORWARD, IF YOU CLICK THE WRONG BAND, YOUR VOTE WILL HAVE TO STAND!

Polls will be open for 5 days. You don't need to vote right away - let's see some debate on these two bands before you all vote the winner in!

I have to remain consistent. Without either the Beatles or Elvis in the final four, I am gonna stick with Queen here, over Led Zepplin, as I have previously stated that Queen could very well win the whole thing, and I wouldn't feel bad about it. But, much as like the previous round, where it was The Who vs. Led Zepplin, the bands are so close, you pretty much have to just pick one, even if you love the other as well. Call it being stuck between a rock and a hard rock place...lol

I went with Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin is without a doubt the GREATEST rock band of ALL TIME! I have no shame in saying that, because they back it up with every single song they've ever made. Robert Plant has a vocal range that's amazing, Jimmy Page rocks the hell out of the guitar, and John Bonham plays drums like a master, with John Paul Jones' solid bass work.. These guys deserve to win the whole tournament. But unfortunately, with the huge fan following Queen obviously has on these forums (which I, for the life of me, don't understand), it looks like they might get knocked off.

I see Queen as a solid band, but I don't get their overall appeal to everyone here on these forums. In my opinion, they have like 1 good song, and 3 okay songs. They might have created "Opera Rock", but I just don't think it's that good. They don't even touch Zeppelin in my mind. But they have such a huge following that I wouldn't doubt if they win the tourney, which I think would be a crime against nature (my opinion).

Zeppelin, on the other hand, was one of the first heavy bands in the 60s. Their influence is endless, and they, along with Black Sabbath, were the foundation of the beginning of heavy metal music. All their songs are epic, from Heartbreaker, to Black Dog, to Kashmir, to Stairway to Heaven. All their music is great, and I think if the world were fair they would win the tourney. It seems unlikely, however, with the huge Queen following.

Vote for the right band, people. Vote for Led Zeppelin!

I doubt it.

QUEEN is the greatest band in the history of rock.

Come on, HBP. Zeppelin is awesome, but any one of your points about them, I could turn around and say the same thing for Queen, maybe three-fold.

I have no shame in saying that, because they back it up with every single song they've ever made.

Queen x3.

Robert Plant has a vocal range that's amazing

And yet Mercury's is better, smoother, less whiney, and he actually has a greater range and a far greater ability to hold and bend notes than Plant does. And I LOVE Robert Plant. He's just not in Mercury's league.

Jimmy Page rocks the hell out of the guitar

And yet he's not as technically or creatively sound as Brian May, who is without a doubt one of the 5 or 6 greatest rock guitarists who has ever lived. His commitment to rock and blues guitar work enabled Queen to churn out such a variety of music it's sick.

John Bonham plays drums like a master

Roger Taylor is his equal, and I admit I'm stretching it. Bonham is amazing, Taylor is just as good. No better.

with John Paul Jones' solid bass work

John Deacon is one of the most underrated bassists in history, and also contributed to the songwriting efforts of the band, whereas Jones did not.

These guys deserve to win the whole tournament.

...if not for Queen being in the tournament.

In my opinion, they have like 1 good song, and 3 okay songs.

Keep Yourself Alive, Seven Seas of Rhye, Killer Queen, Now I'm Here, Bohemian Rhapsody, You're My Best Friend, Somebody to Love, Tie Your Mother Down, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Spread Your Wings, Sheer Heart Attack, Fat Bottom Girls, Bicycle Race, Don't Stop Me Now, Love of My Life, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Who Wants to Live Forever, Princes of the Universe, A Kind of Magic, Save Me, Play the Game, Another One Bites the Dust, Flash Gordon, Under Pressure, Body Language, Radio Ga Ga, I Want to Break Free, Hammer to Fall, One Vision, Friends Will Be Friends, I Want it All, One Year of Love, The Miracle, Innuendo, I'm Going Slightly Mad, Headlong, The Show Must Go On. All of those songs, and some I didn't list, charted in the US, UK, or both.

18 #1 Albums. 20 #1 Singles. More weeks spent on the UK charts than any other artist in history (including The Beatles, Zeppelin, etc), 200 million worldwide album sales.

It's not close. Zeppelin is an AWESOME band who deserved to win their region, but they are not in Queen's league. Queen is the greatest band in rock history, and should have a finals show down with Metallica for the title.

Another thing with Led Zeppelin, for some, their music is a bit...eclectic. Not everyone particularly cares for songs about Vikings, Druids, and that other mystical stuff Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are into. Led Zeppelin has some brilliant music, nobody is going to deny the absolute genius of Stairway, but, their music isn't going to appeal to everyone that likes rock in general. To some, Zeppelin is brilliant, to others, they are just weird. I am a Led Zeppelin fan, I can just see how their style might not be as univerally appealing as Queen's is.

Queen's songs are easier to listen to as a casual fan, and they are much deeper musically. I have yet to hear anyone, with the sole exception of the Beach Boys, that harmonizes as well as Queen does. The harmony between the voices and the instruments created a brand new sound in rock. With Queen, it just seemed like everything meshed together like a single, cohesive piece of music, rather than a drum part, a bass part, a guitar part, and a vocal. With Queen, the sum was greater than its parts. To this day, if you hear 3 chords of guitar, you can immediately recognize a Queen song, despite never hearing it before. Brian May has a very distinctive style, that is instantly recognizable.

Besides. Queen did the theme to Flash Gordon. How can led Zeppelin compete with that? LOL

Queen is arguably the greatest band of all time. Queen has covered every genre of rock, from Arena Rock to Hard Rock. They even created their own genre; Opera Rock. Queen is just amazing. Freddie Mercury's vocals are the best I've heard, ever. Brian May's guitar is simply amazing, and he's also not a let down with song writing. Not to mention Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Queen is just amazing, and have created what in my opinion is the greatest song in rock history; "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Although Led Zeppelin is a stunning band. Other than "Stairway to Heaven" I didn't really like their music as much as Queen's. Not to discredit Led Zeppelin as they deserve all they've been said to be. But in my opinion, Queen should win this. So I voted for Queen.

I had to vote for Queen on this one. Zepplin are an amazing but only one of their songs imo are a standout to me "stairway to heaven". Queen has had so many killer songs like "bohemian rhapsody", "we will rock u", "we are the champions" "show must go on" ect. Queen are also one of the most creative rock bands ever and Freddie Mercury could sing just as well if not better than any other lead singer. He was what a front man should be charismatic, a great singer, and an inovator.
