Film Characters You Emulate / Idolize: Prison Edition

The Roid Rage

Getting Noticed By Management
I saw this one browsing the main page while signed out and I really liked the idea of this thread. Since I can't post a reply, I thought I'd make a prison edition where I could do so. I thought it would be a chance to let you get to know me just that much better.

First and foremost.

Raul Duke from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. This is probably my favorite movie of all time, and he is probably my favorite character of all time. Considering the fact that the character was based off of Hunter S. Thompson you could probably guess what my aspirations in life have been, to be a journalist or writer of some kind, particularly a Gonzo journalist. The Gonzo style is my favorite to write in, and although I haven't displayed it much on here I have used it for almost 10 years.

Vegeta from Dragonball Z. I love Vegeta, favorite character hands down, no one else even close. I love how driven he is, and how he will stop at nothing to be the best. Vegeta is fearless and willing to take on anyone no matter the odds as well. Unlike Goku who was trained by the greatest teachers the universe had to offer, Vegeta trained himself and became a master physically and mentally without the aid of the Kai's. Everything he is he worked at being and because unlike Goku he is not pure of heart, he has some demons, he has a dark side, power hasn't come to him as easily and freely as it has Goku, he works a million times harder than Goku ever thought of, and as if actually a superior fighter as a result, just not quite as powerful. The comparable power he does have though he earned every bit of. I could go on for days about The Prince of all Saiyans, a true warrior.

The Jedi/Sith of the Star Wars movies. Like IC I actually use the Jedi and Sith philosophy in my everyday life. My favorites are the Sith, I actually have a Sith tattoo on my right arm, that's how into it I am. I know the Sith Code by heart, and live by it like a religion. If you take the Sith out of the movies as the villains and place a lot of their philosophy in action it actually works rather well in the real world minus some of the stuff that was put in to make them the villains. I also admire the peace loving Jedi and use part of their philosophy in my everyday life. Now I have pledged myself to the Sith, I am Darth Rage, but there is plenty to be learned from the Jedi as well. I just don't agree with the Jedi thinking that is the only way to go. I could give lessons on the Dark Side and the Light, I'm ordained by the ULC, it is far more than fiction.

My brother and I always pull lines from Step Brothers, Walk Hard, and Talladega Nights so you could say we emulate John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell quite a bit. For example we'll be talking about something and I'll just bust out with "And you never once paid for drugs" or "Fuck glass cats, Fuck Egypt" "That-Just-Happened" or "The Fucking Catalina Wine Mixer !!!" We just love that shit.

If you've seen the any of the other threads in the prison you'll notice a Michael Jackson Time thread. That is because he is also one of my idols and someone I actually emulate quite often in song and dance. I like to sing a lot and I do sing a lot, and I like to dance which I do just as much. In doing both Michael Jackson has been the biggest influence in my life there, I sing his songs and have trained my voice to be able to do so, and I have got a lot of the moves down from MJ as well. So when I go do karaoke every now and then I might bust out a Billie Jean performance or do some of his other songs and get the crowds all riled up. I lost two great men in my life last year a month apart, Michael Jackson being one, my dad being the other. As odd as it sounds Michael Jacksons death was not much easier for me than was my Dad. Obviously my dad was a much bigger deal and I'll never be completely over that, but Michael dying wasn't any better either, especially considering how close to my dad dying it was. I was actually looking forward to going to one of his concerts on the This is It tour. A friend and I were going to make it happen so we could get to see him live, but obviously that never happened.

This is all for now, if any of you bring anyone else up I like I will respond to that. For now these are some of the biggest influences in my life aside from my parents who gave me so much and such a great example.
