Feed Me....Who?

My question is who would you like to see as Ryback's face next?

When I first began watching wrestling in the late 80's the main event scene in the WWF was dominated by Hulk Hogan. Now I've never been a Hogan fan, even in those days of Hulkamania he bored me. Because of this I was drawn to the matches held by over the Intercontinental Championship and as such I've always had an attachment to it.
Over the years the IC title has seen many ups and downs and for me its been frustrating to see my favourite championship having so many issues over the last 18 months or so. We are all familiar with various injuries to King Barrett, Daniel Bryan and recently Ryback and with John Cena's US title reign the focus seems to have fallen off the IC title (although none of the midcard belts have had much love over the last few years) and threw little fault of his own Ryback's reign has been a little underwhelming so far due to poor opponents. He's improved massively in the ring over the last couple of years and deserves the spot but his feud with Miz and Big Show has done nothing for him.
I was hoping after Summerslam that he would move onto a fresh opponent but he still seems to be programmed with Big Show. Personally I can see some sort of multi man match taking place at NOC possibly a Six Pack Challenge with Ryback, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, Rusev, Cesaro and Kevin Owens but I would prefer most of the above to stay in non title upper mid card programmes.

My choice would be Stardust. When Cody Rhodes first became Stardust I wasn't over impressed, I dismissed it as a poor Goldust rip off but he has an ability to make uninspired or awkward gimmicks work. His recent work against Stephen Amell and Neville has been topnotch and I could see a Ryback/Stardust feud being worthwhile. Now don't get me wrong I'm not a Cody Rhodes fanboy but I appreciate all round talent and after around 18 months in the doldrums because of his recent work I think Cody deserves something worthwhile to do.

It wouldn't bother me to see Cody Rhodes have a shot; I don't think he should win but I wouldn't mind seeing him have a program to help build up the title.

I don't think it's in the cards right now, however, because he's basically a jobber for the time being. His Stardust character is very much along the same vein as Goldust was for quite a long time: this weird, darkly comedic character and, in Cody's case, Stardust seems to have more than a touch of the campy portrayal of Caesar Romero as The Joker during the Batman TV series back in the 60s.

Depending upon how the feud with Ambrose & Reigns comes out, meaning how good or bad he looks, Bray Wyatt is a possibility. He was in the middle of a feud with Ryback that seemed to come to a sudden stop after Wyatt won their match.

Rusev is another possibility as it seems natural for him to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship. He had a strong run as United States Champion and I think he & Ryback could have some good, physical big man matches.

Wade Barrett is another possibility; I'm thinking that he might return without the King gimmick as, if I'm not mistaken, he's changed his Twitter name to his real name of Stu Bennett. Though I think Barrett would need to get some momentum going but, at the same time, Vince seems to wanna derail him whenever he gets rolling so Barrett's a "maybe" at best.

I would suggest Sheamus since Ryback ultimately pinned Sheamus at EC to win the vacant IC title in the first place, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about Sheamus come out on the losing end of a title feud now that he's Mr. MITB. At the same time, there's plenty of time to build Sheamus' momentum for whenever they decide to have him cash in and he could he could still be booked to look strong against Ryback and potentially not lose any steam right now. The problem is that I don't have enough faith in Vince McMahon's consistency as it pertains to making decisions that can benefit everyone involved in a feud.

I'm not really sure. It seems like Stardust is still feuding with Neville and there was a rumour that the Miz would get a singles match for the IC title at NoC. However, I wouldn't mind seeing Kevin Owens vs. Ryback. I feel like they could work a solid match and make the feud interesting, especially with the difference in their body types playing into account.

Ryback is in the same situation that Bray Wyatt was in a few months ago, and a situation Cena has been in multiple times in his career. Good talent, healthy, ready to rock and roll, but nothing great is coming to him creatively. And with his physical prowess its hard to put him against people that it looks like a good fight.

I'd kind of like to see him taking on this new Wyatt family. I know that He and Bray had a lackluster feud not long ago, but Bray has the character that could create problems for him. The mind games and such have always been a way to go after a very strong character like the Ryback. Now there's this black sheep monster who matches Ryback physically. They could torment him almost all the way up to the Rumble if they wanted to stretch it that far. Plus, the family already has a feud going with the Reigns and Ambrose, and they would make suitable partners with Ryback given the three characters are all upper mid card and seem like they could co exist as a unit for a time.

I'd like to see Ryback enter the Wyatt War with Ambrose and Reigns and have Luke Harper, and that new giant go after his title during the war.

Cesaro... plain and simple needs to be the next IC champion. They can possibly do a 3 way with Owens but Cesaro needs to have this title to build him up for the WWE title sometime next year

I would definitely say King Barrett he should be the one to face Ryback for the WWE Intercontinental Championship especially since King Barrett and Ryback have history with each other anyone remember Nexus? But also Barrett and Ryback have never had a proper feud so to see these 2 feuding over the WWE Intercontinental Championship would not only elevate Ryback more but also it would give Barrett something to do considering Barrett being the 2015 King of the Ring he is also a 5-time WWE Intercontinental Champion

I'd want to see him face Kevin Owens. Since Owens failed to win the US title and a heel is currently US champion, might as well move Owens on to the next best thing once he gets done with Cesaro unless Orton is available for him to get put over.

It sounds as if it is going to be Kevin Owens, he hinted towards that on Smackdown. I think that would be a good feud, lets see if it starts tonight on Raw for a match at NOC.

I;d be interested in an Owens feud, but I feel like it would hurt both of their careers. I want to see Owens rise, not remain stagnant or fall. He'd have to win the belt. On the other hand, Ryback can't afford to lose the title this quickly.

I'd say Stardust wouldn't be a bad choice. Maybe even Sheamus. There aren't too many options available right now though.
