I know this has probably been done several times before but I've never seen one go very in-depth into why people actually like certain wrestlers. Anyway, I'll show you how this is going to work.

We'll break it down into four optional categories - Favourite Wrestler(s) in WWE, Favourite Wrestler(s) in TNA, Favourite Wrestler(s) anywhere else.

Favourite Overall Wrestlers -
In WWE - Edge. This one's a no-brainer. Edge is a great wrestler; we're not talking technically great but he sells moves well and he puts his character across really well in his choice of moves in the ring.
In TNA - Samoa Joe. I just love the fact that while he's a big guy, he's not a roided-up monster. He's also pretty much the best submission wrestler in either of the big two, probably one of the best in North America or even the world. TNA fans can't wait for him to get "the big one".
AJ Styles - This guy is TNA to the core. He's won everything there is to win. Twice. He can wrestle like a heavyweight or a cruiserweight depending on who he's facing - usually both. He's also underrated in the charisma department and, personally, I think he should've done a Randy Orton and turned on his master (Christian) at Slammiversary, winning the title in the process. This then builds up to Joe/Styles at BFG for the TNA title, a match that I would literally kill to see. LITERALLY.
Anywhere Else - Nigel McGuinness. One - he's British but he hasn't gone over the top with it. Instead, he's got quite a realistic persona that I recognize in a lot of people I know. I pretty much live next door to him as well (exaggerating quite a bit but we're both from London). He's also a great wrestler with a great moveset. Sadly, I don't see him getting a big title in North America, mostly because he's British. It's discrimination is what it is!!
Low Ki - I could've listed him as Senshi in TNA, but I think ROH is where he's had his greatest matches (actually, anyone remember his series of matchs with Lynn and Styles for the X title when TNA first started, they were AWESOME!) and where he's more famous for wrestling, to smarks at least. He's got such a unique wrestling style and I'm surprised TNA hasn't banned him from doing half of them, it's a wonder he hasn't knocked someone out cold before.
Overall - This was a tough one but I think I made the right choice. It's AJ Styles. TNA is probably my favourite company overall, and Styles just beats Joe in the "TNA to the core" stakes. I also really enjoy high-flying, high-risk wrestling, of which Styles is only second to people like Jack Evans, who's an amazing spot-monkey, but a spot-monkey nonetheless. God bless the X Division!

As of right now I don't have an overall fave. But for nosatgic sake some of my faveroite guys growing up were Hogan, Flair, Sting, Arn Anderson, Sting... as I got older it became Austin and The Rock.. Right now I like Orton and Cade and Murdoch.

Now as for my all time fav. wrestlers I would watch all day... The Great Muta.. Muta is the shit if you never seen him wrestle go look him up on you tube and watch. You'll love it.

My second is that old bastard Terry Funk. I'm a big mark for hardcore wrestling so I love Terry Funk but before all the hardcore shit he was actually a great wrestler. He has done it all and seen it all twice..

Triple H has been my favorite for years....

Simple reason; Charisma, even when he had the Greenwich Snob gimmick he did it so authentically that even though any moron knows wrestling is "fake" it was still believeable. His mic skills are fanfreakintastic, when I look back on all the times Ive lauged out loud at wrestling 90% of the time he was involved (The Sargent Slaughter feud in the late 90's, DX impersonating the Nation, DX "invading" WCW, ect)...He's just really natural and believeable as far as mic skills. His moves set has gotten limited but thats because he's been at this 10 plus years so I think thats as to be expected. He still puts on amazing matches (HIAC with Chris Jericho is my fav) and finishing the match he had his first quad tear in like really impressed me (I believe something similar went down with Kevin Nash and he basically fell on the floor in pain and couldnt finish understandably so but wow). I'm just a huge huge huge fan. As long as Ive been watching wrestling all my favs has changed except Triple H.

I'm going to expand this to include the category of Favourite Tag Teams/Stables. Or both, if you so wish. Personally, I don't much care for stables so I'll give you an example of a favourite Tag Team.

Favourite Tag Team - AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels - These two have been two of my favourites ever since I began watching TNA. Their fueds against each other were fantastic, as were the matches within them. Add Joe to the mix and you have some five star encounters. I was amazed when they formed a tag team. Not only because of the marketability and popularity but because of their seamlessness in the ring, particularly when performing some of their fantastic double team moves. I was heartbroken when they split up, but delighted to see them reuinited on iMPACT! in a losing effort against LAX and *sigh* 3D. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be a permanent thing, meaning the tag division will soon be beyond saving, seeing as how LAX are the only team left fighting the good fight, so-to-speak. LAX, Aries & Strong and The Briscoe Bros. are close behind as favourites.

I have a few favourite Wrestlers. Here are three or four.

Steve Corino: Watch some of his ECW matches with Dusty Rhodes, Im actually trying to find his feud with Teddy Hart, He is an awesome Wrestler that would fall into the same category as some of the other ECW guys that joined the WWF during the Invasion, Cut or Buried. He has owned up Japan over the last few years, He was the first to hold the revived AWA title. He has accomplished so much and is going to be retiring from wrestling at the End of the Year. It is a pity that WWE decided to go and Trademark or Copyright the Nickname of the "King of Old School". HE deserves all the praise he gets, his promo skills are excellent his in-ring work is just as good.

Lance Storm: Another of those guys that I have always been impressed with, as you can tell by the work I have done for the Wrestler of the Week this week. His in-ring technique is one of the best ever.

Chris Jericho: There seems to be a Canadian theme going on here again one of the greats of all time. do I really need to explain why this guy is one of My favourites.

Triple H: Breaking from the Canadian theme this guy became one of my favourite Wrestlers when I first started Watching Wrestling in 2005, his inring presence and his entrance theme got me to start watching him, and Im not talking about backstage politics here just purely in ring here. Triple H is the Game and deserves his spot as one of my favourite Wrestlers.

There are others this is just a few names. There are many more, this is also restricted to just either active Wrestlers or guys that can still go if they wanted to.

My favorite all-time wrestler is The Undertaker. I started watching wrestling in 1991 because of him. My friends were huge Hulk Hogan fans and I didn't understand why. (I thought his movies sucked and he had no moves). The first wrestling show I saw Survivor Series 1991, and when The Undertaker came out, I was like, "No way Hogan is beating that guy. Look how big he is!" He was in all-black with those cool gloves and boots, and he looked awesome. Then when he wrestled he never reacted that much to pain, never got cocky or talked smack, and he could walk the top rope, which didn't make sense how he could do that being so big and the rope being so loose and wobbly. Plus when he sat up, it actually looked scary. From then on I was hooked.

I've followed Taker's career, and I can honestly say I've never seen him have a bad match. He always changes with the times, and adapts his moves well. He has used different finishers (Tombstone Piledriver, Choke-Slam, T.C.B. Dragon Sleeper, Last Ride Powerbomb, and I think he used a single leg submission in some matches) and moves that still haven't gotten old after 15+ years (flying clothesline, walking the top rope, sitting up after taking a beating). He can fight like a cruiserweight against bigger opponents like Khali, Giant Gonzalez, Big Show, Mark Henry and Yokozuna, and then be the giant unstoppable monster against smaller wrestlers Jeff Hardy, HHH, Flair, Shawn Michaels, and Rob Van Dam. Not many big guys can walk the top rope, dive over the top rope flawlessly, and hit top rope moves with no problems.

How many wrestlers would still be over after admitting killing his parents and burning his brother, kidnapping the boss's daughter, performing Satanic rituals live, killing his old manager live, and still be cheered the way Taker is?
(All of this was kayfabe, in case anyone doubts my sanity/smarts)

In 2nd place is Booker T, because I think he's the best African-American wrestler that ever laced up boots. In 3rd place is Raven, because he has simply amazing ring psychology that made every match a mind game watching it.

Honorable mention to Taz and Masato Tanaka, two ECW guys who defined toughness.

I think Monty Brown is good but WWE made him suck and put him in ECW that sucks.
AJ Styles is one of the great young talent out there
Randy Orton is great also he is making it to the top but slowly
Triple H is good but when he returns DX should be over
Chris Sabin and CM punk but chris sabin shouldnt lose to the black cheese mo or what ever it is and cm punk shouldnt lose to fuckin johhny nitro

The Undertaker all the way! I have watched tons of wrestling videos including the deadman. I even own 2 of his dvd sets. The best man to step into the ring. Look at his WrestleMania record people like Kane, Scyco Sid, Mark Henry, and many more like Diesel (Kevin Nash). And you can never doubt him. He'll be out for like 5 seconds after a chair shot and sit up! It may be fake but ive seen some shots that have ended being real (by accident) and he'll still sit up! Even if he doesnt have too he will sit up after a shot from a chair, or any weapon. Brooklynbuc i agree 100% he is the best there is.

Favourite Wrestlers

WWE Smackdown - Edge ( You Have To Admit It Edge Deserves To Be Champ hes Got Great Skills On The Mic And In The Ring And He Can Draw Heat From A Crowd Like No One Else , Edge Busted His Ass To Get Where He Is Today And He Deserves A Good Nice Long Run Of The Title )

JBL ( I Dont Know Why I Put JBL In Here Its Just That Not Many Wrestlers Can Make A Good Transition From Wrestling God To Commentator And I Believe That JBL Has Done That , His Weekly Putdowns On Cole Bring a Smile To My Face And JBL's Sarcasm Makes The Teaming Of JBL and Cole A Really Solid Announce Team )

WWE RAW - Mr Kennedy ( Down In OVW The Evil Genius Himself M.r Paul Heyman Told Kennedy To Out To The Crowd And Say His Name Twice At First That Sounds Like A Pretty One Sided Gimmick But With Someone Like Kennedy Doing It The Gimmick Aint So One Sided )

King Booker ( He Has Taken A Ridiculous King Gimmick And Really Made It His Own , His Crap English Accent Has Me In Stitches All Hail King Booooooka!! )

WWECW - CM Punk ( Indy God To Mainstream Jobber , Lets Face It CM Punk Was A Juggernaut On The Indy Circuit And When He Made The Switch To Mainsteam Wrestling He Was Given The Short End Of The Stick When He Was A. Among The First To Be Eliminated In The Extreme Elimination Chamber and B. Forced To Job To Nitro Of All People At The Vengeance PPV )

Marcus Cor Von aka Monty Brown ( Hurl All The Insults But The Man Is An Outstanding Athlete And Has Tremendous Mic Skills Its Just That The Creative Team Doesnt Get It Theyre Too Busy Finding Out hat Next Social Demographic Group Theyre Going To Piss Off Next )

Indys

ROH - Davey Richards ( Heavily Influenced By The Japanese NOAH Style Of Wrestling And Is A Really Top Notch Performer , A Real Rising Star Is Davey Richards )

PWG - Chris Bosh ( If You Could Combine The Charisma Of The Rock And Ability To Draw Heat Like Edge This Is The Outcome , Bosh Just Oozes Charisma And Really Can Egg On A Crowd For Any Promotion , Bosh Is Just A Funny And At Times Controversial Wrestler He Is Indys Best Kept Talker )

CZW - Justice Pain ( Sorry For All You Hardcore Haters But Justice Pain Aint No One Sided Bump Dummy So To Speak , Pain Has Incredible Fundamentals And Doesnt Need Any Fluroescent Lightubes or Razor Wired Flaming Tables To Gain A Crebile Victory He Does It With His Pure Wrestling Ability And I Can Admire Someone For Having Such Wrestling Ability In A Company Thats Looked Down Apon By People Who See CZW As A Pure Garbage Wrestling Promotion )

Chikara - Chris Hero ( Arguably One Of The Greatest Independent Wrestlers On The Market Today , Hero Is Notorious For His Antics And Is Even More Well Known For His ( Sorry A.J ) Phenomenal Matt Wrestling Skills , Power Moves And Hi Flying Moves , Hero Is Great On The Mic And is A Stiff Brawler At Times , Hes The Entire Package When It Comes To What An Indy Wrestler Should Be )

Pro Wrestling NOAH - KENTA ( Japans Gift To The World Of Professional Wrestling , KENTA is an enigma he is simply perfection , i have never seen a match involving KENTA that didnt dissapoint , the original innovator of the Go To Sleep Manouver that has popped many crowds , a way better version than Cm Punks Go To Sleep , Kenta could wrestle anyone and make a clean win a believable win )

Chris Jericho and anybody Canadian. I actually used to shut the lights out when The Brood did their entrance (I was like 13 at the time) because it was so badass.

I am also a known Marty Jannetty fan. I was a Rockers guy, and I flipped when he won the Intercontinental Title. I also firmly believe that Shawn Michaels vs Marty Jannetty at Royal Rumble 1992 was among the greatest matches of all time, with the best near falls.

Lance Storm:One of the best in the business period. He is one of the best technical wrestlers and has incredible wrestling intellegence.

Y2J:The guy was born to be an entertainer. He has great chemistry with anyone he wrestles. His match against HBK at Wrestlemania 19 IMO was one of the best matches ever.
