Favourite Sit Com Pet

Mr. TM

Throwing a tantrum
Sit Coms are only complete with a four legged, or so, friend. Some shows use the pet as a comic relief, some actually get speaking parts, while some are just there to could as one of the children.

My favourite add on is Santa's Little Helper from The Simpsons. He can play the best friend of Bart, the nemesis of Homer, the big friend of Maggie, the associate of Snowball II and others. He is usually not a center of an episode, bar the few episodes around him, such as when he gets lost, when he is adopted, and a few others, but he is a useful character.

Have to go with Buck from Married...with Children.

Frankly, no pet in sitcom history meant as much to their respective show as Buck meant to Married...with Children. That's simply a fact. Every season while he was there, at least one show revolved around him, and of course he had just as many "LOL moments" as anyone in the family. Didn't an episode go buy where Buck didn't make you laugh if he had a scene. What other pet in sitcom history can claim something like that? The answer is simple and obvious: None.

I absolutely love Spin City and view it as one of the best sitcoms of the 90's and on. That being said Carter who was played by Michael Boatman had a dog named Rags. It was one of the ugliest animals I have ever seen and never really did much but it was also one of the funniest things I have seen.

There was an entire episode dedicated to Rags being extremely old and trying to kill itself by licking an electric socket. It didn't die but Carter made Paul look after Rags where he he hits Rags with the door and appears to have killed it. Paul in turn sets it up so Carter does the same thing to make it look like Carter killed Rags. Turns out that Rags wasn't dead in the end and he wakes up during his funeral.

Rags would have to be my favorite sitcom pet and one of the funniest.
