Favourite Game on the Original Xbox?

I Probably Know what the most Popular answers are going to be but my Personal Favourite is this.

The Hobbit:
Most of you know that The Hobbit is a Prequel to the Very Successful Series of films Called Lord of the Rings. Now im not a Massive Fan of LOTR But i Did get the Hobbit. And was a very fun and Enjoyable game, full of Puzzles and Actually Requires you to Think. I would say to get the game but its on the Original Xbox Lol.

Some classics on the original Xbox, personally I loved Fable, despite the fact it didn't really live up to the hype and it was too short.

Some other notable mentions have to go to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for coop slashing action.

Halo for revolutionising the console shooter [I'm not a fan, but credit where due...]

Shen Mue 2. Needs no explanation.

Hulk: Ultimate Destruction - There isn't a better Hulk game anywhere.

Midway's Arcade Treasures - A compilation of classic arcade games with an excellent 3-player port of Rampart, the only tower defence game worth playing.

Spiderman 2 - The best game ever to feature the word 'Spiderman' in the title.

Oh, and for 4 player coop the X-Men Legends games definitely deserve a mention.

Sure a few of the games in my list were released on multiple consoles, in the case of the X-Men Legends series I first played them on the GameCube, however the Xbox version of Legends 2 actually supports HD resolutions on the Xbox, which is nice as it's cool to play such an old game in 720p.

Fable for me was one of my favorite Xbox games.

You could also say the KOTOR series kept my fingers busy when I got back home near dead from football practice.

Never owned an XBox, Im a Sony Boy, but one game that I have had hours of fun playing is Halo, the original.

At school The 11s and 12s would play at recess and lunch till it got banned, but the game was literally legendary. I have alway preferred COD to Halo but the original Halos were better that the original CODs, but all in all Im going for Halo, great game.

Hands down has to be Halo. Me and my buddies still play it to this day. 4 person FFA on Blood Gulch using the pistol to snip is always good.

Halo 1 & Fable 1 are the best regular Xbox games I can think of

Sadly Halo & Fable seem to get worse and worse with every release though

I gave up on the Halo series after 3 , and am pretty much done with Fable games too after the 3rd one

I mean , theres always some interest in new Halo/Fable games to me but ehhh not excited when I hear about them anymore

Also I'm sure Elder Scrolls lll : Morrowind would be an original Xbox favorite IF I had even played it. Considering IV : Oblivion was my 1st game of the series and I consider it a top game of all time

Nothing beats Halo Combat Evolved for me. It was the first real FPS I got into and I have such fond memories of playing it and still do too this very day. It was such a pure experience for me and I couldn't remember being so immersed in the world and so invested in the story since I first place Ocarina of Time years before. It was everything a good video game should be. A good story with fun and easy controls, a fun yet sometimes challenging A.I and huge open worlds for you to explore. I can still go back and play this game and still have the same level of fun playing it as I first did in 2001, great game.

Yeah I'm glad to see so many people saying fable - it was great; Although Fable the lost chapters was better; when I got the 360 they put out the full download of fable, but not of the lost chapters which is crap because I have to run that off of disc and it goes slower!!!

I also spent countless hours on halo 2.... i wish that was still around I'd be playing that right now. Counterstrike was also fun on a friday night.... god i miss the old days!

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II The Sith Lords.

Many people wonder why I prefer this to the first. Well, I played it before I did the first. Because I played this before the first without much knowledge of it I was way less critical of this game than most other people were. This was also my first great RPG and it would be the first of many, it helped me determine what my favourite gaming genre is.

A lot of people say this was rushed but I simply didn't notice it on my first couple of play-throughs, after playing and completing the first KOTOR, I did notice the difference between the two games and how KOTOR one was simply better but my initial experience with KOTOR II was way more enjoyable. It also had a lot to do with the fact that the story was spoilt for me in KOTOR I by my little brother (the cunt).

Honourable Mentions: Gun, Halo 1 & 2, Doom 3, Dead Or Alive 3, Star Wars Battlefront II, Lord Of The Rings: The Third Age and Need For Speed Carbon.

Morrowind. Hands down my favorite original XBox game. Granted, it was also a PC game that came with a crazy world editor, but the XBox game was how I played it. For those of you who don't know what Morrowind is, it's part of the Elder Scrolls series, and the prequel to Oblivion and the forthcoming Skyrim game.

Also, if I'm going to go a more standard, obvious route, I'll pick Halo 2. One of my favorites of the series until Reach came out, for both the story and the gameplay.
