Favourite forgotten angles

HBK-aholic

Shawn Michaels ❤
This may have been done before but I can't find it. I just read a post which made me remember an angle I used to love, but had pretty much forgotten about. Post in here to alert people to your favourite angles they may not remember.

DDP stalking The Undertakers wife was great. I loved the promos for it, and wondering who it was. This was WAY before I'd even thought about using the internet so I was completely in shock as I had no real ideas of my own as to what was happening. It made me really like DDP as well.

Naked Mideon. lol. It was corny and stupid but funny. It was clear though that Mideon was desperate to keep his job at that point. lol

I'm not entirely sure it was forgotten, so much as it got put off so much... Due to a certain wrestler's proneness to fucking up big time. And Becca, this should certainly appeal to you.

I feel that the angle between Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannety as something that was forgotten multiple times, both by fans and WWE management. Watching Shawn break up the Rockers as he did was pretty unbelievable. Sure, I guess I should have expected Shawn to superkick Marty when he did. But to have thrown Marty through the window as he did was pretty damn incredible. It was violence the likes of which The WWE had never reached up until this point, and left me needless to say, my flabber was surely ghasted after watching it actually happen. From there, Shawn proceded to give the performance of a lifetime building himself up. He was no longer just a tag team wrestler... He was a star on the rise. Then, the angle escalted when Marty returned, and Shawn destroyed Sherri with the mirror. Having her be in a neutral corner at the 1993 Royal Rumble never made much sense to me... I felt she should have sided more with Marty, but perhaps they were saving that moment for Wrestlemania. Anyway, had it gotten the payoff at Wrestlemania 9 that it should have, I feel it would have gone down as a great feud in WWE history.

Instead... Well, we had to wait that much more to get that payoff. And we simply didn't care that much. One of the forgotten moments in WWE history.

I see my first post was not in vain Whisper. :D

Mines would need to be the Brian Pillman/Marlena angle that happened when Pillman won the valet services of Marlena.

Too bad that was cut short, was awesome for such a young me back then.

Mine has to be The Undertaker hanging Big Boss Man. I remember them coming down from the ceiling and everything. Obviously, I thought this was real as I was still 5, so once the actually nuece came into play, my dad made me leave the room. I had always been curious as to what the scene was, so I looked in 2001 on youtube. Talk about scared, I was just 9 at the time. I later came to find out, that it was just a careful stunt in which they did a hollywood style hanging, with a coathanger type thing, on Big Boss Man's ring atire. Up until your thread, I had completely forgotten about this angle, pretty dang epic angle.

Youtube wasn't around in 2001. But I get what you mean.

My favorite forgotten angle is the Vince McMahon limosine explosion. That angle had A LOT of potential. The entire internet was abuzz afterwards, trying to figure out who did it. They could have easily drug it out 3-4 months trying to figure out the "killer". But instead, that jackass known as Chris Benoit had to go all Charles Manson and kill some bitches. He totally wrecked that angle. What a friggen loser.

i actually have 3 favorite forgotten angles (all from 2005):

1.) Kurt Angle wanting to have sex with Booker T's wife. Buying her lingerie and leading to a match at Judgment day

2.) Bobby Lashley vs Simon Dean at No Mercy. Simon Dean ended up having to eat a lot of burgers since he lost.

3.) Kurt Angle losing his gold medal to Eugene

Tim White killing himself just poped in my head. What was that all about, he got hurt, his family left him so he shoots himself on ppv. HaHa

1. Katie Vick. It was controversial, it was sick, but it was entertaining. I just like controversial stuff like that. And when Kane made a promo on it when he was on The Game's Survivor Series Team a few years back I just started laughing like crazy.

2. Kane/Shane. It was a very good fued which created some very brutal physical matches and memorable moments. Anyone remember their LMS match or Ambulance Match? They were sick. And that spot where Kane was run into the tractor trailer. I had just started watching and all I could think was wow, that spot really was what got me hooked on wrestling.

How bout the Bossman vs. Big Show when his dad died and he found out he was adopted. The match sucked but it was hilarious seing the casket dragged down the road by Bossman. "Hey Big Show your a nasty bastard, and ye mommy said so!" The pepper on a pole match with Al Snow was fun too. One can't forget the great training rituals of the Ultimate Warrior with Jake the Snake Roberts, being trapped in a coffin to get ready for the Undertaker.

How about the angle where Stone Cold Steve Austin was the CEO of the WWF, and he put it on the line in a handicap ladder match against Vince and Shane McMahon. Every time Austin would reach for the (briefcase? I don't remember what was suspended above the ladder), it would move several inches out of his reach.

It was never explained why this happened and I think the WWF dropped the ball on this storyline in a major way by never following up on it. Did they even MENTION it again? I don't recall. I want my 30 bucks back, Vince. With interest. And a lot of interest has accumulated in eight or nine years, buddy.

Mine is also the Vince McMahon death angle. This was one of the craziest angles we had witnessed in a while. This could have been amazing. Shane and Stephanie could've conducted some sort of an investigation or something but nope. Sadly Chris Beniot killed his family during the angle which made the angle cut short. To bad though

An angle i liked, was back in 04, when Paul Heymen was managing The Dudleys, and they somehow got possession of The Undertaker's urn. I was marked out when Taker came out during A Dudley Boys vs John Cena and RVD match I believe, and instead of attacking The Dudleys, he chokeslammed RVD and Tombstoned Cena. I honestly thought that Taker was going to turn heel and we were going to see reformation of The Ministry. But sadly I was wrong and the angle was dropped at The GAB

Rated R K O.

Honestly, When These two came together as a team, I nearly had an orgasm. I thought "Holy shit! This is the new D-X". As a team I thought they were going striaght to the top of the food chain. They became a team, Beacuse they wanted to "rid" the company of D-X. They became very outspoken, Very quickly. They even gave D-X their first loss since their reformation, On the way to the tag-team championships.

Unfortunetly, The fued ended early due to Triple H's second quad blow out, Shawn Michaels took on both members, But it completely finished when HBK, And Cena won the tag titles from Rated RKO, On the run to WM 23. When HBK went on to face Cena for the WWE title, And Both members of Rated RKO participated i the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Mine is from back in 2000 Radicalz/Hardyz feud. The build for it was Dean Malenko trying to seduce Lita and the Hardyz obviously not trusting any of it. I think It resulted in a match at Backlash in which the team of Eddie Gurerrero,Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko took on the Hardy Boyz and Lita in a 6 man tag Elimination match. It ended up Lita vs Malenko who did not hesitate to put her in the Texas cloverleaf. The Feud was decent in itself as it showed Malenko and Lita going on a few dates, it was funny because Malenko was priceless during that fued.

The Brood, I loved that group with The Hardyz and Gangrel, they rocked, the whole gothic vampire thing was cool, with the bloodbaths, the Hardyz coming out of nowhere to annihilate people. That was cool angle/group.

Read this thread a while back... Decided just now to write something. I dont know if these are Forgotten, but they sure as hell are memorable to me and probably other people.

1. The Undertaker Vs Hulk Hogan: Classic Fued and Angle. Good Vs Evil. The Hero Vs The Deadman. This, of course , lead to The Undertaker's First WWE/F Title.

2. The Rock - The Big Show: This Fued and Angle was pretty damn good. It was one damn funny angle aswell. The Rock Cut some of the greatest and funniest promos out with The Big Show (We'll never see promos like that again.. shame...), Calling The Big Show "The Big Slow", Singing/Chanting "Somebody Got A Hair-Cut" When Big Show got his hair cut, A Rippin' on The Big Show on his Chokeslam Taunt, except he made himself look like a Jackass and groan like Chewbacca to show what The Big Show Was. This was a classic Fued and Angle that had great matches aswell as entertaining promos. What made the Angle even more better was the Royal Rumble 2000 "controversial" finish. It was awesome.
