Favourite flop movies

WATCHA GONNA DO, BROTHER!?
Well this thread is like my favourite cancelled show's thread but for movies instead.

Basically you just list what movie you like that is considered a box office flop and/or movie that everyone else seems to think is shite. Also if you feel like it you could list movie's that you think is not well known at all. I'll start shall I?

Serenity: Okay this is the film spin-off of the not-so-hit TV show Firefly (which I mention in the other thread), it flopped in the box office (probably as expected) to the point where the creator seems to have finally given up on the idea. It's a damn shame because this is easily his best work (not being a fan of Buffy and Angel, complete horse shite). Although recent reports of high DVD sales have hinted that talks for a sequel is a possibility.

Basically it's about a bunch of space cowboys that have to earn a living after being on the losing end of space's version of the american civil war. The captain agrees to harbour two fugitives (brother and sister) in exchange for one of their medical's expertise. The other fugitive is a seriously crazy psychic lady who was being experimented on etc.

It's a lot of fun with some great characters such as Jayne the mercenary (he's a dude by the way) that there is something in it for most people to enjoy.

Okay, your turn.

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. Basically this was three episodes of Family Guy thrown together and left to tell a remote story about Stewie meeting his future self and the chaos that follows in the future.

Wow, I wish the writers had wrote a plot outline and then went 'hey, this sounds awful'. Ok, it has it's hilarious one-liners, including the 'Asians aren't allowed inside the Park Barrington Hotel', and 'That really Grinds my Gears', but story wise it's awful. And despite all that, I still love watching it. It's got the humour that atones for the storyline flopping

Either Howard the Duck or Miami Vice. I really don't understand the hate that Howard the Duck gets...I did not think it was nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, the main character's costume looked fake as hell, but the plot was solid and the acting was decent.

As for Miami Vice, well, I wouldn't call this a flop as we normally think of them, as it managed to make some money at the box office and got decent reviews. However, the film went way over budget and didn't recoup its costs back. So it was, in the strictest terms, a flop.

Howard the Duck is awesome.

Boondock Saints grossed $30,000!!!! That's it, so I believe box office flop applies here. That movie is amazing. I've seen it at least 50 times.

And, I have some good news.

MTV says:

After years of rumors, scandal, and mockery, Troy Duffy is finally getting his wish. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he has started filming the sequel to 2000’s “The Boondock Saints.” And he’s got his cast: Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus will be returning as the Brothers MacManus, Billy Connelly as Poppa M, along with Bob Marley, Brian Mahoney, David Della Rocca, and David Ferry, who will all be reprising their original roles. (Which is odd, because I am pretty sure at least one of those characters died in the original.)

They’ll be joined by new characters played by Clifton Collins and Julie Benz. Says an overjoyed Duffy: “It’s a joy and a long time coming to be bringing such an enormously talented group of people back together again.”

Reportedly titled “Boondock Saints: All Saints Day,” the story will pick up some time after the original film, and will find the Brothers MacManus back in Ireland, retired from their vigilante ways, and living off the land. But when they are framed for the murder of a Boston priest, they are forced to return to America and seek retribution. You can expect a lot of guns, splattering blood, flashbacks, and a really loud soundtrack.

Troy Duffy and his quest to get the original “Boondock Saints” made was chronicled in the 2003 documentary “Overnight,” which followed the rise and fall of the one-time Hollywood hotshot. Duffy — a former bouncer/bartender whose deal to make “Saints” for Harvey Weinstein collapsed amid a bitter fight between Duffy and the studio — had been attempting to get a sequel off the ground for years.

This movie will not flop.

I dont know how this movie did at the box office but I imagine it wasnt good so I gotta go with Road House starring Patrick Swayze. Even though isnt wasnt critically acclaimed, had bad acting and many far fetching and unbelievable storylines I still loved it. It is definitely my guilty pleasure movie. Ive probably seen it 2 dozen times and it never gets old. Dalton and Wade Garrett were straight up badasses.

I'm not really sure how it fared in theaters but I know it wasn't even considered a good movie, I love it though. Alien vs. Predator (the first one). Man I loved that movie when I first saw it and I then went and rented all the original Alien and Predator movies and I loved those too (excluding Alien Resurrection). I really don't know why nobody liked AVP, it had a decent storyline, decent acting, and good action scenes.
