Favorite Memory - Eric Bischoff: Raw GM

The 1-2-3 Killam

Mid-Card Championship Winner
Eric Bischoff made a name for himself with WCW, but he also played one of the best roles in WWE history. His time as Raw General Manager, between 2002 and 2005 were some of my favorite years for WWE's flagship show. Bischoff is one of the charismatic, confident heels in the industry as well as a brilliant mind. All of that comes across on TV as this arrogant, power-hungry leader, which resonated well with the product today. In many ways the wrestling heels looked to Bischoff for the rub, and he provided the heat for many a top feud.

Simple question: what's your favorite memory of Eric Bischoff during his time as Raw General Manager?

Probably when he was first announced by Vince as the new RAW GM. The music was fitting and when he got on the mic I could tell we were in for a bumpy ride.

When he was the minister for the "commitment ceremony" for Billy and Chuck. That whole storyline was crap until he announced 3 Minute Warning and they cleaned house. Bischoff made that angle entertaining within a matter of minutes that Billy, Chuck, and Rico couldn't do for months.

I agree with you all the way there Eric was always entertaining and always had good input into the product, especially when the brands were separate entities. But with that being said my favourite moment was when Stone cold was announced as co-gm of raw and after an awesome back and forth SCSA proceeded to stun Mr Biscoff honestly was one of my best memories in wrestling and the chemistry and fued that followed made RAW excellent for the duration never missed an ep!

The last image was the best. Seeing him tried, convicted, FU'ed and compacted in a garbage truck was fun to watch. Of course, I didn't realize he was really leaving WWE, and when I later found out, I saw Eric as a good sport for allowing himself to be depicted as a fool on his way out.

Shows what I know, after he spent the next few years criticizing the company while extolling his own virtues. But give credit where credit is due for that his night with the company.

Everyone has listed some good moments but il go for another 1, when he annoounced the Elimination Chamber!

Still gives us good matches today and at the time it showed that he could be fair and not totally in favour of the Champion (HHH) at the time.

His feud with Stephanie McMahon in 2002, when he was the pastor for Billy and Chucks wedding and his incitement of HLA at Unforgiven(?) of the same year! I was 10 at the time and really starting to get into wrestling and I remember wanting Steph (face) really trump Eric because I absolutely hated his guts, and thats what a good heel's job. My favourite GM/Authority figure of all time, and I pray one day he gets his money of out TNA and does something good with himself.

I agree with Sally. It was great to see Bischoff get thrown into the truck and (kayfabe) sent away, as he was so great at being a heel GM that this moment became all the better for us fans when it happened. Honorable mention goes to his debut as well. To see Bischoff, who was at the helm over at their biggest rival WCW Nitro when it was at its best, now in the GM role on Raw, was so shocking at the time. I miss Bischoff as a GM. He was one of the best in the history of the role. I'd rather he stay over at TNA than return though. They will not be able to top his previous run.

Back in Black hitting, and him walking out is still one of my biggest personal "pop" moments. I marked out all over the room, and I was early 20's at the time.

One of the greatest moments in wrestling history is the original Booker T segment.............masterfully executed.....probably one of the biggest pops ever

Billy and chuck wedding was classic also....

+1. I can watch that and get chills thinking of everything that led up to that moment.

Also, the storyline with Bischoff chasing down Stone Cold and then getting the sh*t kicked out of him at No Way Out. Fun storyline involving Vince, Shane, and Bischoff that led to a long story arc after Wrestlemania.
