Favorite CM Punk WWE match

Getting Noticed By Management
reading through this forums ive seen that apparently CM Punk is a bit of a god in here so I want to know...

what is your favorite WWE match of one CM Punk in the 5 years he's been with the WWE starting with his arrival on the newly created ECW?

he's had world titles.... amazing fueds with the likes of The Undertaker, John Cena, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Big Show, John Morrison, among others.

but which is his BEST MATCH? (i dont watch indy wrestling but you can put your favorite match from the indies if you want to as well)

Discuss away....ill give my opinion later...

i'd say he worked best with rey..... hard to pinpoint one match but i felt they brought the best out of eachother. least favorite - the hell in a cell where he OPENED the ppv with the undertaker and lost his title in a horrible match.

Im gonna go with his match at Mania 27 vs Orton.

Orton is my favorite superstar and Punk is my third so i had high hope for this match and IMO it delivered

Other matches worth mentioning

Mania 26 vs Rey

Smackdown cage match vs Hardy

TLC match vs Hardy

i thought the month after mania's match was much muchhh better than the mania 27 match itself, in fact i felt that whole ppv was ten times better than mania, with the exception of ut and hhh

Fuck, tough question! I'll just list a few

Summerslam 2009 vs. Jeff Hardy TLC for the WHC
Armageddon 2008 vs. CM Punk
Judgment Day 2007 vs. Elijah Burke
Wrestlemania 27 vs. Randy Orton

This is just off the top of my head, I'm sure I've overlooked a few. He has also has a never ending list of awesome indy matches but I can't be stuffed listing all of them.

Hard to tell. He has quite the plethora of great matches.

But I'm gonna go with the match that made me take notice. The match that made me go: "Wow, CM Punk really is a lot more than just a shitty name."

That match was when he captured the ECW title from John Morrison way back. I rarely ever watched the new ECW product (or the old one for that matter), but I happened to catch that one. And I was blown away. It was one of those exceedingly rare instances where I felt reminded of why I became a wrestling fan 20 years ago.

Mine is When Morrison Beat Punk for the Vacant ECW Title. Especially as Benoit was Supposed to Win it. May not be the best match but its Memorable for that alone.

for me it's his TLC match with Jeff Hardy, Punk and Hardy had a great feud with great matches, so i pick that, but this is a tough one to answer due to all his great matches he's had, some with Morrison, Rey, Orton and Burke, but i pick Hardy because it was a World Heavyweight title match and was the turning point in Punk's WWE career because that was when he was a heel.

FUCK, I can't edit!

I meant vs. Rey Mysterio at Armageddon 08. That was a classic. Punk even busted him with the GTS at the end.

My favorite CM Punk match is from Ring of Honor's Punk vs. Joe II, where Samoa Joe and CM Punk wrestled to a sixty minute time limit draw in what was a classic wrestling match, for the ROH World Championship.

In mainstream WWE, CM Punk versus Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 27. Was an impressive match with a good solid ending.

For me its gotta be vs Jeff hardy at Summerslam 09.....the match itself was great...lots of high spots and the end to the match was perfect....I've always thought that ladder matches should end with both guys punching each other until one of them falls....
Honorable mentions go to his matches with rey, Jomo, randy orton and the undertaker(NOT)

CM Punk at the Royal Rumble where between throwing super stars out of the ring, he cut promo after promo.

CM Punk at EC when he did almost the exact thing. He eliminated a superstar then grabbed a mic and talked shit about the rest of the roster, the fans, and how he was better.

Punk also has some pretty brutal matches with Job Morrison back in the ECW days. Hes had great matches with Mysterio. He made a boring Orton entertaining at WM. He's carried the Undertaker in matches on Smackdown.

CM Punk is gold.

Mine is also WM27 between CM Punk vs Randy Orton.

I think that both of them worked very well together, the spots, the story, the way they sold every move.
I also liked their match at Extreme Rules this year against Orton again.
He has another moments like his matches against Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and "he was the first one to make The Undertaker tap out"

To point out his worst feud and match, it was against The Big Show.

CM Punk at the Royal Rumble where between throwing super stars out of the ring, he cut promo after promo.

Oh, I loved that! He usually has great showings at the Rumble, but this year was his best yet.

I really hope Punk and WWE will sort out whatever contract differences they have. He's arguably the best man they have right now.

Yeah I'd say CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy at Summerslam 2009, the match had a predictable ending when news broke out about Hardy leaving WWE after the PPV, but that didn't stop it from being a great match with a lot of high spots.

And the feud between them was so heated those two really told a story and the match was, IMO, Punk's greatest PPV win along with his two MitB wins.

Another one would be CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio at Armageddon 2008, the match was great, and the GTS at the end was the sickest hes ever done.

Punk had his best WWE match against Orton during there most recent fued. Helped both guys get over.

Seems now like Punk is jobbing to Rey every week on Raw now and he is taking shots at WWE. Doesn't seem like he will be resigning any time soon.

I think a Chris Jericho program (Jericho v. Punk would be great for WM) is the only way Vince can get Punk to stay with the company.

I can't believe no one picked this one. Punk and Morrison work great together and this was Punk's last chance to win the ECW title. IT goes to show you when given the time and right opponent Punk can put on 5 star matches every night. just watch it, both men were wrestling like they have a lot to prove and since this match both men have stepped up but in this particular match Punk steals the show in this match and i can watch it all day every day and never get bored.

Can't really say I have a favourite as I don't really like the guy but he was good in money in the bank when he won it

God, he has had so many good ones. His ECW matches against guys like Morrison and Burke were awesome and the WM 27 match was good too. But I`ll go with the TLC against Hardy. It was full of awesome spots and showcased both wrestlers ablility, ya know before Jeff... well... yeah.

Anyway, great match and one of Punk`s best.

Milenko posted it already, so I wont bother with that part in driving home my point. While I prefer CM Punk as a heel, there's no doubt he was incredibly over as a face in the relaunched ECW. Morrison had beaten Punk 3 straight PPV's for the ECW title, and Punk wasn't supposed to win the title until the next PPV until Morrison got hit with a Wellness Policy violation and was suspended for 30 days and forced to subsequently drop the title immediately.

Punk was still new to the WWE style somewhat and Morrison was still trying to find his stride as a single's competitor, but the stars aligned for this match. Morrison could have sandbagged it knowing he was dropping the title and suspended but he put on a heck of a show. The crowd was as hot for any match in the new ECW since the Cena/RVD ONS 2006 match, and the two were magical that night in the ring. I remember watching the match with baited breath after several false finishes and close near falls, and 18 minutes later, Punk won his first WWE championship. Just a fantastic match with two men who have incredibly chemistry together in the ring. I loved Hardy vs Punk TLC at Summerslam 09, but this match is my personal favorite Punk match still today.

I have put together CM Punk's WWE PPV History (See Below). I do not count his time in ECW as WWE. I started from when he won his first Money in the Bank match, which is basically when he really started his WWE career, even though he did stay on ECW for a few more months.

So out of all his PPV matches I would say my favorites have been basically anything with Rey Mysterio.

I liked his Wrestle Mania XXVII match with Randy Orton

But my favorite match of CM Punk's in the WWE has to be his T.L.C. Match with Jeff Hardy

His matches with Jeff Hardy are my favorites. I hated his matches with taker, because he was buried within ten minutes or less.
