Emphasis on Angle fading?

I was watching iMPACT! last night and I realised something quite startling - Angle was barely in it. OK, he was in the main event but that served AJ, Tomko and Christian much more than him. In fact, I thought it was despicable how the world champion was so easily dominated and beaten so decisively, interference or no, that he stayed down for the longest three count I had ever seen.

Before that, he was only in a short segment where AJ was the focus. Judging for last night, it's TNAJ if anything, he was on every five minutes.

So what do you think, is TNA emphasising Angle less? Is this an anomaly? Or am I just plain wrong?

your definitly right, angles ****ty wife needs to realize her and her family need to stop taking up tv time. we would never see this crap last year. ever since they been 2 hours they been all over the FU**** place. im hoping it goes live so tna is noticeable and not an embarrasment

I've noticed this, too. Over the past few weeks, even though Angle has been on a lot, it was focusing on AJ Styles, Tomko, and Samoa Joe. They just used Angle's star power and his hot, and I do mean HOT, wife to make these segments more interesting. I think that less Angle is good, but not too much less, because he is still champion.

Im new here, so first post
Just a little backround on me, ive been a wrestling fan over 3 years now, i no the ins and outs of the bussiness, ive read all of the wrestlers books, i read as much as i can about the WWE's past and i no a ton.

So i think Less Angle is good. AJ needs a gimmic change, i want the old AJ back. More Samoa Joe, please make him TNA champion he deserves it. Im liking how Tomko is getting more TV time. I hope that he goes back with Christian

Yeah I would agree with you that was a more serious side of Angle in iMPACT but dont complain this is a good thing! Yeah that match with tomko I completly forgot that he was wrestling Angle the world champ the man whos always over the show, you would thought he would promoted big time more main event but Tomko was more and AJ. At AJ Angle split coming up im telling you!

I have to admit, I don't get the way they handled Angle in last night's main event. He basically got squashed by Tomko. Tomko spent the entire match on the offence, and then with AJ's pauses, Tomko must have had Angle pinned for a good 10, maybe 15 seconds at the end of the match. I do like the fact that we're seeing less of Angle backstage, as he is a good mic worker, but they were over-doing it. But come on, taking your world champion, not to mention one of the biggest stars your company has, and making him job to Tomko? No reflection on Tomko, I love his stuff, and think he could be a great mid-card champ, if TNA had such a thing, but let's face it, he's not at the main-event level quite yet. So, having him destroy Angle like he did was just... well, stupid. I would have actually agreed with it if Tomko had squeezed out a victory in a hard-fought match, like the Jay Lethal match last year for the X-Division title. But that was a strange way to do it, definetly. Still, woudl like Kurt to turn on AJ, so we can see a more serious side of him. The intense Kurt that goes out, kicks some guy's ass, breaks his ankle and leaves.

I like this, and hope it is not an anomaly. Don't get me wrong, Kurt Angle is one of my all-time faves, but he and his wife have had too much TV time. They are good at playing their roles, and Angle is a deserving champion, but 2 hours of Impact involves about 8 to 10 segments involving the Angle Alliance.
Speaking of which, I hope they stop this whole clumsy, cowardly AJ storyline. Hopefully, one day he will throw off that ******ed crown and kick Angle right in the face. That would be an interesting rivalry...
But yes, less Angle is a good thing. But at the moment he is their world champion, so he does need some face time. But not too much, he is already one of the most recognized faces in wrestling. It is time they build new stars around him, the argument we have heard so many times before....

I think it's a great move. I'm not a fan of Angle, but I do respect him as a performer. He is gold in the ring and he has great mic skills. But so do alot of the guys on the TNA roster. AJ Styles has finally developed a kick ass personality and has vastly improved his mic skills; Tomko has been improving since his debut with the company; and Joe is finally being groomed for a long overdue title run.

There is enough talent all around that one man, regardless of who it is, should not take up half of the TV time.

I believe that the Angle shock of being in TNA is fading away, that they're building up the guys that they had planned to before he came into the picture. AJ is starting to rebel, Joe is taking control, Tomko is going into business for himself, etc. Christian and Angle are beginning to subside, which is a good thing. It's time to see AJ and Joe back where they belong.

Less Kurt Angle is good, as it was almost sickening as much TV time as he was getting these past couple months. I don't think he should vanish completely like he did last week, but share it with the guys that are at last getting pushed back where they used to be.

It was actually quite sickening how a midcarder squashed and pinned the tna world champion and olympic gold medalist , Angle shud have T.V time to promot his matches but not cheesy comedy shit , Aj,JOE, tomko r getting TV time nowbut they still need to have angle carrying credibility but they are crushing im seems to me the only time he wins is on PPV'S and P.S I heard joe is having a title run in april
