Election '08, are you getting tired of it?

NYSandman

Testicles. That is all.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm really, REALLY getting TIRED of hearing/reading about Obama and Clinton and McCain and Bush, blah blah.

Doesn't it seem like we are inindated, every 4 years, with non-stop bullshit? You can't open a paper or turn on the TV without hearing about this election. I know it's important, but Jesus! No matter who gets elected, the outcome is the same.

Any promise made during the last few months will be broken faster than a vase under Umaga's ass, and corruption and scandal will reign.

Maybe the reason so few people vote is because by November, they are so utterly sick and utterly tired and utterly disgusted with the campaign, that they just don't bother.

I know I'm sick of seeing the huge toothed Obama, the old, crow's feet ridden Clinton, and the zombie, soon to dead of old age, McCaine. I am getting to the point where I don't care who wins, as long as the shit ends and I can enjoy my paper again.

Give us a week off, for Christ's sake!

Amen brother. This thing has been going on for about a year now and I'm flat out tired of hearing this constant bickering, and i'm sure I can't be the only one. I haven't heard a word of actual policy from anyone, just that they wouldn't do what the other person would do, and do you really want that kind of person in the White House. I dont give a damn what you wouldn't do, tell me what you would do. They need to just stop doing this 11 months in advance, and do all of this in about a month, like the quick buildup to a pay per view. Make it quick and painless I beg of you.

the sad thing is, it hasn'te ven started yet. we have 6 months left of this garbage, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. Hillary and Obama have done nothing but hurt the Democrats and their contention for the white house in my opinion. This constant bickering and mudslinging simply turns people off.

The Republicans, like it or not, have to be absolutely loving every minute the Democratic race is drug out. Not only are people going to get burned out and annoyed on them, they do such a good job of picking each others flaws out that McCain doesn't have to do any mudsligging.

November can't come fast enough.

I only pray to the lord (that I don't pray to) that Obama wins this thing. He won't be some visionary great new leader that the media is trying to make him out to be (with all of the JFK comparisons), but he'll without a doubt be better then Hillary Clinton or John McCain.

As one of my personal favorite South Park episodes put it so bluntly, the vote is between a douche and a turd. Well, I guess two turds.

Im personally sick of it, and im not even American!

It was all over our media a few months ago, with almost round the clock coverage of the Super Tuesday voting or whatever its called.

Now that it has settled down a bit(least in the UK), we dont get as many reports.

I’m not tired of it as I want Clinton to win as I wouldn’t want to see a America with Barack Obama as President. I mean all the guy is, is a great talker and noting else. At least with Clinton you have experience in the white house. She work with Bill on Health Care reform and I think a little on education and right now we don’t need a new guy who is all talk but no action. I mean you may hate the Hilary because of Bill, but at least while Bill was cheating on his wife, he ran a country just fine. So I would love to see the Clintons back, because the country will be better off. So I hope the fight keeps going as I don’t want to see Clinton give up just yet. I’m African American and I’m pushing for Clinton.

the only thing i dont like is that its all thats covered in the news lately. im sure there are lots of other things going in our country besides the election.

I'm tired of everyone taking what Obama's preacher guy says and making it seem as if that's what Obama's beliefs are, also, I really do not want Hillary as president, she would pull our troops out of Iraq to quickly, which could allow for Iran to bomb the crap out of us, launching WWIII, not to mention raise taxes, i'm sure Obama would withdraw troops as well, so i say McCain, but none of them are really good.

I don't even think the presidents job is needed. The country can just run itself. There might not be any need for one man or women calling all the shots. Have you ever seen those infomercials telling you you can make a lot of money fast? Or those mailings in your mail with there get rich schemes promising you all kinds of money? That's kind of how I feel obama is like. He is making it look like he is going to do so much if he is elected by implying that he is different and thus only a different person can cause change. I feel a con and a scam artist. He is doing a job of making himself look different but has not really specified a whole lot of how he will do things. Maybe he use to do multi-level marketing and knows how to con people.

Are you serious? How would pulling out of Iraq allow Iran to bomb the crap out of us? I can't even address how naive of an idea that is, let alone how completely unrealistic it is. Never gonna happen. And every President raises taxes regardless of political party, how else are they going to fund all of the new projects they tote throughout the campaign trail?

Wow. And I thought the other comment above me was naive. We don't need a President? Are you joking? By far one of the most ridiculious political statements I have ever encountered. Utterly ridiculious.

I'm so sick and god damn tired of people saying "Obama hasn't specified how he will do things"...he hasn't? What are all these plans he's presented to the public over the last 6 monthes then, just invisible papers flying around that no one sees? Bullshit. Obama is just as organized as Hillary.

This "scam artist" stuff is pretty ridiculious as well. So, your basis for him being a scam artist, is that he markets himself as a drastic change from the previous administration? You realize that is EXACTLY what most Americans want, right? Talk about scam artists, why not talk about the fiscally conservative "non-interventionist" platform that George W. Bush ran on. Look how that worked out.

I'm voting Obama simply because he is the lesser of all three evils. Hillary is a sheep in wolves' clothing who wouldn't hesitate to put us into another war after Iraq, and McCain seems lost and confused at times. Atleast Obama is a fresh face (and before anybody says lack of experience, he has just as much experience as JFK did) who hasn't been utterly corrupted by lobbyists (AHEM: McCain).

I never said america didn't need a president. I questioned if it did.

He rarely talks about his plans. Most of the time he talks about change. And yes that is what most americans want, which is exactly why he is using that to his advantage. I'm not going to defend bush because I am not a fan of his.

There is no reason to personally attack me just because I said something you don't agree with.
