Edge's face turn?

So we all know that Edge is already a 8-time World Champion and all the major titles he won was in recent history as an heel.

With that being said, I think it's time to Edge turn face again, and with that being someone that doesn't need more championship reigns to get over. So the next time he is a World Champion it means something more than right now.

In the other hand, you could make him turn face if Cena wasn't to be involved in the match at Wrestlemania (which I don't think it's even remotely possible) and making Big Show and Vickie screw him over.

With Cena also on the match, making it a Triple Threat it's not impossible to Edge turn face until Wrestlemania 25, altought I do believe it's more difficult as Cena would always be the top face on the match.

a face edge would be awesome. i'm hoping that its him against cena at wm 25 and the outcome of the match is a double turn, edge turning face and cena going heel. this can be done by cena joining forces with vicky, kinda like the stone cold wm17 turn. cena can say that he's tired of edge screwing him over all the time and it's time for cena to screw edge. from there they can have the next couple months feuding with each other, and that will give their rivalry another fresh start.

I could actually see something like where Edge is heel going into the match, and then Vickie comes down, he expects her to help him, then boom, helps Big Show. Cena gets the pin on the Show, and Edge shows some respect, clap hands, handshake. Then spears Vickie, that's how it could work in a Triple Threat situation, him showing respect at the end. But a spear on Vickie is a must!

I don't see Edge ever turning face again, or at least not until he is old and on his way out. The majority of wrestlers are either natural heels or natural faces. Some, like Hogan, manage to transcend both, but Edge is definitely a career heel.

If by some fluke occurence Cena breaks his leg and it has to be Edge against Big Show, it'll be Big Show turning face. He was already starting to get cheered by the crowd until he started appearing with Vickie Guerrero again.

Edge is a brilliant heel, but an irrelevant face that gets lost in the crowd. Edge should, and will, continue to be a heel for the forseeable future.

Strangely before I even read this thread, I was thinking exactly what Phoenix was.
Edge on Smackdown has been getting frustrated with Vickie. Cena obviously knows
or has evidence of a Show/Vickie relationship or something like that.
Edge is already frustrated that Big Show was made number one contender.
Edge he'll become frustrated with Vickie because she will put John Cena in the match as
he knows something about her and Show, perhaps Cena knows that Vickie plans to turn on Edge and side with Show. Then in the Wrestlemania triple threat. I have a feeling Edge will find out somehow, Cena will pin Edge. Then Vickie tells Show to attack Edge, Cena helps Edge. Cena gives Show the "Attitude Adjuster" and then Vickie will start shouting at Cena, then Show will be about to attack Cena again and Edge will spear Show. Then when Edge gets up from the spear, Cena will have Vickie on his shoulders, Edge looks at Cena, then the crowd he smiles, and waves at Vickie, and says "I love you baby." BAM! Cena hits the attitude adjustment. Cena and Edge shake hands. Ala Edge face turn, then he goes to RAW in the draft, and Cena to Smackdown. Cena feuds with Show and Edge gets involved with Orton and Legacy.

I know most people want or expect to see Edge turn face but personally I like Edge as a heel. He brings more intensity to the ring when he is in heel mode. What I would like to see is Edge go on his own and ditch Vicki. She does nothing for the show and she does nothing for him. I loved when he went crazy on her a few months back. At Wrestlemania, I see her leaving him and joining forces with the Big Show.

Edge was great as a face especially when he was tagging with Christian. They were funny as hell but Edge has had his greatest success (in my opinion) as a heel. I hope he stays heel for a long time but I would like to see him move back up to Raw because its seems like their isn't much competition on Smackdown.

I was thinking that Edge should have became a face a long time ago. When he lost to Undertaker in the ''Hell in a Cell'' match and was sent to hell... he could have easily became a face. He could have tried to get revenge on Vickie and the rest of La Familia, because you remember when Edge lost to Undertaker at Summerslam, you could see La Familia beackstage clapping. I thought he would definitely return as a face, but no. Despite how big of a heel Edge is, it would be quite easy to turn him to face or tweener. In another post, I said that we could get the impression that Vickie is going to help out Edge, but then screws him over, allowing Big Show to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. If WWE is planning on having an Edge/Big Show fued for a few months, then one of them HAS to turn face, and I'd pick Edge since Show just became a heel again in September.

well, i think it could be one of the easiest transitions ever, all that would be needed was for the big show to win at WM25 with a little help from Vicki. From the lookes of last night's SD! John Cena has something up his sleeves, adding to the idea that he'll end up in the match, adding fuel to the fire that is already brewing.I think that JC has a video of Vicki and The Big Show kissing or some sort, and will use it to blackmail her into adding him in the match. In the end we will see Big show winning the match, leaving edge to explode, ask for a divorce. and start a fued with the biggest heel in the WWE Vicki, Turning Edge into a face after a few loses involving La Familia. he could get screwed out of his rematch, sort of the way Undertaker had to deal with them.
i dont think that edge's "ultimate opertunist" angle is enough to make him one of the top heels as he is now, and being involeved with Vicki is one of the reasons that he is such a hated heel. Anyone who has a fued With Vicki is AUTOMATICLY a Face. She Can turn People Into top faces without moving a muscle.

another reason..everyone is so tired of her, seeing edge take her out with a spear would instantly turn him face. A good spear could put her back in that stupid wheelchair/neck brace. and Edge could pull it off. Imagine Edge waiting in his stance in the corner after john cena gives her the "FU". everyone would think that hes ready to spear John, yet he spears vicki. INSTANT FACE!

I think Edge's face turn could make him into a almost Eddie Guerrero type character.
Guerrero "Lies, Cheats and Steals" Edge will be the Ultimate Oppotunist and he will just be instantly face, but it is one of those gimmicks that can be heel or face.

Face it, Edge sucked as a face, especially with the "loner" gimmick he had. He just couldn't get over with it, and he was terribly stagnant for quite some time after E&C broke up.

When you look at it conversely, its quite obvious that Edge rocks (and has always rocked) as a heel. E&C got over as one of the best (if not the best) tag teams of their time due to their heelish, cocky attitudes/styles. It was awesome, and they became a very popular and lucrative tag team. Fastforward to the present, and you see Edge is back on top once again. And, you guessed it, as a heel again (and a good one at that, one of the best that the WWE has to offer right now).

I really could never see Edge turning face again, he's just THE cowardly heel of the WWE. If anything, he might turn face on his way out years from now but, besides that, I don't see it ever happening.

PlayTheGame, you said that Edge has only been on top as a heel. This is true however if he were to turn face now, i think it would be alot more popular now that he is an 8 time champion and if it was a turn against Vicki, well anyone would get a huge face pop for that.

Edge, as you said, is an awesome heel and probably will be until it's getting towards the end of his career but i think he could pull off a good face turn. He could finally have a legit championship win which would get him over as well as maybe teaming with Cena for a bit to take on Show and Vicki. Edge is good enough to do it but i know what you mean, he's just such a good heel.

Considering the recent developments on RAW, I'd say Edge is pretty much a face now. He's been jilted by Vickie. He's a betrayed lover. He's going to go into 'Mania pissed off, and wanting revenge on the big show, and Big Show.

I doubt he'll ever be a full face again, but it could work to make him a tweener for a while, before he has an opportunity to go back to full fledged heel. With Cena being the biggest face in the WWE right now, and with Big Show's growing heel heat leading to the match, Edge as a tweener would fit.

I personally, after Raw can see Edge becoming a middle range area between face and heel. With what has recently developed with Vickie, I can't honestly see him staying with her, but at the same time this could turn into Edge feeling like he has something to prove to Vickie. I hope that's not the case, but it is WWE afterall. The way Edge has developed as a top heel has been great, but he's been that way for a while, though I don't want to say it's getting stale with him winning by taking advantage of situations, it has started to make him look a little weak. So far though, he has proven to do quite well under those circumstances as he still is getting massive heat. Either way, face or heel, I think Edge can continue to really do well for himself. I would love to see him be the face should this whole thing with Big Show become a feud that is.

the only solution for edge is for him to leave vicki after WM25 by Vickie stopping edge from winning and helping big show win the title

then he returns to smackdown where after the draft Christian is drafted by Smackdown and reunites with edge and start working the tag team divison.

This would involve Edge becoming a face superstar and then taking the titles off of primo and Carlito then have The Miz and Morrison Challenge them to a big match where the winner takes the title of best tag Team in the WWE and this can be used to unify the 2 Tag Titles into 1 Title.

This Rivalry can be done over multiply PPV where at the first PPV Meeting its a Champion vs Champion Non Title Match for the Claim as the Best Tag Team in the WWE. The Miz and Morrison would win the match only by DQ after using a chair after Edge and Christian dominate the match.

This could lead into a match where Edge and Christian Challenge Miz and Morrison to a Massive Matchup at the next PPV where The Winner Takes both tag Titles(Unifying them) and using the DQ from the previous PPV meeting as the way to make the match a TLC this being an idea from Christian and Edge.

The Miz and Morrison could use the Dirt Sheet each week to aggravate Edge and Christian

and there would be some interesting Matches on Smackdown between the 4 wrestlers

This would be both entertaining and also be a good kick start revamping the Tag Team Divison

Edge going face could work because he had good reactions when he fought wrestlers like lesnar angle and benoit but at the time he wasn't pushed to be main eventer. Now since he got some years as a maineventer under his belt him being face would be great and he will be just as over maybe even more. If triple h the man who hits people with cars(stone cold), tries to take his best friend out(hbk) and has fake sex with dead girls(kane) can become a face anyone can

I think it would be a terrible idea especially right now..if you really think about it we have many MANY faces..unfortunately, we lack major heels..Orton and Edge (and cough Vickie cough) are the top heels..and we need more!

They should make Edge turn face at wrestlemania and have him getting drafted back to raw while cena gets drafted back to smackdown and fueds with the big show.

The question about whether he can pull it off is, who do the people hate more? Vicki or Edge? That's a genuinely hard question to answer.

But guys, please don't just shit all over the thought of Edge going face. In truth, face Edge in the invasion era was pretty good. And don't even think of saying he wasn't over then, cause after he beat Kurt Angle to win KotR, he was the most over midcarder in the WWE. And that's including all the guys who were in the ECW/WCW alliance, which was basically a big group of midcarders with one or two big stars.
The WWE midcard was kinda lacking at the time. Edge, Christian, Hardys, Dudleys, Regal, Tajiri, Test, Billy Gunn.... But Edge was the more over than any of them on their own. And he was face.
So don't just assume that he won't be a good face just because he was a bad face in his pre=rated R days. He has the mic skills and the charisma. It could be good.

I really don't see Edge turning face. Just because he got screwed over by Vickie doesn't mean he's turning face. If anyone turns face it looks like it could be the Big Show. After seeing that video on RAW the fans thought it was hilarious and they were all laughing at Edge's expense. I think that this will just make Edge even more of a heel as the buildup to Wrestlemania continues.

Some of you said you don't ever see Edge turning face. Some folks said the same about HHH and look where he is now. Also, don't put it past WWE to turn Randy Orton face someday just to give it a shot. I think an Edge face turn would be good because I would like to see him and Vicki go at it for supremacy. Cena will never turn heel, I don't think. Vince has made that clear. I don't know about a face Big Show. I think he would reach his full potential if he were to remain a heel.
