Edge vs Sheamus

For those who dont know me(probably most, if not all of you) I recently had a post about Scott Hall becoming TNA World Champ and I got about 4 pages worth of respnoses and it was a great discussion but for some reason it was deleted. I dont know why, I havent been told why, it just has been. But nevertheless thanks to those that posted.

Now, this topic is that of a possible feud I just though of and realized this would be a fantastic feud to see and do on a fans part and WWEs;
Sheamus vs Edge

Firstly, Sheamus. He is clearly going to be one of the big heels in the future. I say future as WWE have obviously tried to make him one of the top heels on Raw so far but have kind of failed. He was just another wrestler who WWE thought they could sky rocket into stardom with being given the top belt. The fact he doesnt get a massive sound of boos when he comes out proves that. His reaction is a bit poor and defiantely worse than WWE planned for by this time. So WWE should be planning on getting him more over as a top heel. Many may now think, so why have a feud with another heel in Edge ??
Well that is simple. Dont try and make Edge a heel. Have him have more of a tweener persona. Have him spearing everything in sight. Just like Randy Orton RKOing anyone and everyone. That is exactly what Edge's character is dying out for. He can be funny but as a face these days, well I think his feud with Y2J proved he couldnt pull it off. Nobody should lie to themselves, given what he was given, the top face on Smackdown!, the crowd should have been MUCH more into him and his match vs Jericho in the cage. They were bored, I was bored. He couldnt pull it off. But with a heel persuation but also being very entertaining as he can be he could be elevated onto the same level as Randy Orton. So he would have to start this tweener role against a heel so that the crowd backs him and putting him against Sheamus would help both men superbly.

I understand some people might already think Edge is already a tweener. He is not. He doesnt in my recent memory feud with face(Y2J was when he was a face). The Undertaker was his big one a while back and now Randy Orton.

Also, does anyone remeber when WWE blatently stole lines straight from Happy Gilmour a while ago. Big Show said to Edge, "I eat peices of crap like you for breakfast!" Edge, "You eat peices of crap for breakfast?"

i like where you going with this (also made an account just so i can say something), personally i find both shamu and edge both really boring as of right now, theyre both playing with stale roles... orton has got the whole super crazy, evil look about him whilst having the ability to draw crowds and cheers... he is pure entertainment. so if edge can mimic him i can see him pulling sheamus up to a main event status and make himself entertainment at the same time

I'm new to this so please be patient. I think that this would be a great feud... and if Sheamus ended up getting the better of Edge it would elevate him to a greater level with the fans. When Sheamus first got the WWE Championship it was too early, but if he got the better of Edge I would have no problem with him being put back in the title picture. I also love the idea of having Edge be a tweener.

I say it is just a matter of time, yes cena is the face of the company but you cannot deny that Orton is becoming the It thing now. Soon enough Orton will be the World Heavyweight Champ hopefully there will be good feuds for him.

Time is the key right now. Edge should have already been spearing everyone in sight. To have him and Orton both do it on the same show might be overkill, but I like where you're going with it. Yes, Edge could try and be turned into a tweener, and Sheamus could destroy him. What Sheamus really needs is a long standing feud with someone. John Morrison may be a good example to start off with. Edge isn't my first choice to put Sheamus over, and I'm not saying JoMo is either.

Edge vs Sheamus sounds great, but it would need a slow build up for sure. The oppertunity seeker and the assualt from behind man...eh...we'll see.

I like the ideas you all have of the Sheamus/Edge feud but remember.......The King of Kings will be back very soon and where will he fit in all of this??? Your guesses are as good as mine. I can see Triple H just walking right down to the ring and sledging the hell out of Sheamus or both Sheamus and Edge, or maybe even Triple H cerebrally using Edge and maybe even a brief partnership with him, ending of course with Edge feeling the bad end of a sledgehammer or an even worse end of a pedigree. Or picture this: Orton and Hunter forming some type of alliance against Edge and Sheamus. I guess we will all see whats coming up. I enjoy all scenarios, but really like Orton and HHH teaming up again. Evolution part II, Lets GO!!!

Edge vs Sheamus I don't think will happen anytime soon.Edge and Orton are fueding and that will head into Fatal Four way.Sheamus is waiting for the Game to come back and have their final showdown. But if it did happen I don't think it would be good. Why, for the simple fact Edge is best when he is a heel, Sheamus is a heel and I don't think people will cheer for this guy.Edge wasn't over with the crowd on Smackdown so why would you turn him face or even tweener.Orton is the only person on Raw that should be a tweener at this point in time.So Edge vs Sheamus I don't think would be a good idea as of right now.

I see something in this, but not right now. The Edge/Orton fued, IMO, is something great. If the "E" does this correctly (they probably wont) this could be an amazing fued for the rest of the summer.

Plus Sheamus is waiting for HHH to get back. They'll probably be in a match at SummerSlam(or whatever its called now).

Now give it some time, maybe a year, and yeah this could work very well. Have Edge doin the tweener thing, but lose the Rated R Superstar thing. We all know its a PG era, and he cant do jack with it. Just have him using the Ultimate Opportunist bit and taking everyone out to get to the WWE/WHC title. Have Sheamus in his way, OR already the champ and I think this could work.

WTF does this have to do with anything in this thread?

Edge vs Sheamus will happen at some point, not in the nearest future, but at some point, due to the fact that eventually Sheamus will have to establish himself against other main eventers, he won't be going anywhere if he's only feuding with John Cena and Triple H.

But due to the fact that Edge is clearly being a heelish character now (I say heelish cause I'm not really sure, he's still getting some cheers after all.. I'd say he's a heel, but I could be wrong) and Sheamus is a clean heel, so those two feuding wouldn't make any sense right now, it would be the break of the whole "Face vs Heel" wrestling that WWE has presented so successfully through the years, even though you could argue "but Sheamus and Randy faced at Royal Rumble where Randy was still considered a heel" well yes, but he was turning, Edge is turning back to being a heel, not away from it, and Sheamus really isn't neither.

Edge and Orton should, and needs to work a great program together as it is now, I feel that feud could be THE feud to go around when John Cena and Batista ends, and WWE needs to capitalize on that, instead of pairing Edge with Sheamus, or Randy with Sheamus, so Sheamus should really either return to feuding with John, or find some other way of building himself, that's the only thing I think could even remotely make sense.

Probably, the reason why the thread was deleted was because these 'fantasy bookings' discussions never really go anywhere. If they want to, posters can create threads all day long that ask questions like, "I think Jon Morrizon n R-Truth culd hve a grate feud. Wut do you guyz thinkz??" but where do these threads go, really? You get nothing but answers like, "Yeah, great idea. Why? Because they're both good wrestlers and can put on good matches with each other." Seriously, what the heck is the point of that?!?

People continue to flirt with the boundaries of realism when they view pro-wrestling. They see two wrestlers, think their in-ring move arsenals or "personalities" are similar, and want to talk about how 'great of a feud' it would be if they faced off. Guys, wrestling isn't real. Matches, feuds, and angles are only as good as the WWE writers make it out to be.

So creating threads like this really don't do much of anything to promote discussion of anything interesting, as it pertains to the current wrestling product. Just my opinion, but I absolutely despise threads that revolve around fantasy booking.

So before I completely derail this thread, I'm going to touch upon the original poster's subject a tad.

Do I feel that Edge vs. Sheamus would be a good feud? Sure, why not. They're both wrestlers, they're both muscular, and they both look like they would cut good promos against each other. But a feud between these guys would be about as good as a feud between just about any two main eventers. It all depends on the WWE's writing and the caliber of matches that the two men could put on. Edge and Sheamus are very experienced in the ring and have very unique microphone skills so, given good direction, the feud would be as interesting as anything else we've been watching in the WWE for the past 20 years.

Whats the point in that ?? Its to discuss your opinions and views about wrestling with other wrestling fans. This is a wrestling forum is it not ?? I was pretty sure this was a wrestling forum. Yes it is and thats what you do in a forum. What do you think we should talk about ?? How WWE should sort out their taxes ?? How much they should pay their security guards ??

Its a forum for everyone. Wrestling fans for 10 years, for 40 years or someone who kind of likes wrestling. Just because you wuoldnt want to discuss a particular subject dont try and make it as if nobody should.

Guys, wrestling isn't real. Matches, feuds, and angles are only as good as the WWE writers make it out to be.

So are you claiming that sometimes their are boring feuds because the WWE writers want it to be boring ?? You just said that WWE chooses when they will have a good feud and when not to. NO NO NO. What a stupid, ridiculous thing to say. WWE clearly always try and make things entertaining. Why would they try and purposfully try and lose interest aka fans aka money ??

Stop thinking you know more about wrestling than others. Stop acting as if you should decide what people should talk about.

All of this talk is easy, coming from someone that only has 26 posts on this forum.

I've been seeing threads like this for a long time and they never lead anywhere. So I vented a bit of frustration with it... sue me. But fact of the matter is that threads like this don't really go much of anywhere.

Did I say that anywhere? Do you know how to read? You completely misunderstood me. So before you continue to run your mouth and say stupid things, maybe you should learn how to read and understand the English language.

All I said was that feuds occur because the WWE's writers wrote for it to happen. And the feuds are only as good as the writing. I didn't say that WWE's writers create boring feuds. I said feuds are only as good as the writing is. So if the writing is shit, the feud is shit. Learn how to read.

I love how you continue to put words in my mouth when you obviously don't have a fucking clue as to what you're talking about. You can't even read plain English.

I'm frustrated with posters on this site throwing two wrestlers together and then writing a thread saying, "Hey, what do you guys think? Would this be a good feud?" If you take any two men, put a good story behind them, and they execute the story to its fullest potential, you've got yourself a great feud. But it takes good writing AND good execution. This isn't done by natural causes because pro-wrestling is scripted.

So wrap your brain around that and stop thinking I'm trying to be smarter than everyone else.

Back on subject again, I would rather NOT see this feud. Both men are being very successful as heels right now and there really isn't any point of making them face off with each other.
