Eddie Guerrero - Decade of Smackdown..if he were alive

Barbedwire Ropes

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
I must admit, that video package they aired tonight for Eddie Guerrero really got some tears building up in the corner of my eye. Watching back at all of those great/memorable moments really did bring back memories. There was a time when Eddie was my favourite person to watch in that ring and the video really made me wish he was still around.

My questions are, what do you think Eddie Guerrero's role would have been on the Decade of Smackdown episode if he were still with is? Would he be World Champion/I.C Champion? Face or Heel? Mid-Carder or Main-eventer? Who would he be fueding with? Would Chavo be more than a comedy jobber? Would Vickie Guerrero have been there with the debuting Eric Escobar?

Personally, I would think that most likely he would be a Raw superstar right now. Maybe not the current WWE Champion, but I could definetly see him working as a face fueding with the likes of Randy Orton or as heel going up against John Cena.

Your thoughts?

I think if Eddie were alive he would probably be in the mid card just to help elevate some new and riseing stars as a heel of course. Stars like Morrison truth etc. I also belive we probably would of got the one night only Reunion of the Los Gurrerios of Eddie and Chavo vs jerichshow or something like that.

Also the Eddie Guerrero music video did bring tears to my eyes i really miss the man and really wish he never died Rest in peace Eddie I lie I cheat I steal Guerrero.

The guy would have been a multiple time world champion. He was suppose to win the world title the day he died and even Stephanie hinted it. I remember hearing reports few years ago that they were building Guerrero to be a huge star but he felt the pressure and couldn't take it. Someone with so much charisma and talent wouldn't be stuck in the mid-card.

One of the best things about Eddie is he can can play a face and a heal oh so very well.. Some of my Fav moments of him were when was a heal.. I don't think he would be on RAW might have spent some time on it but he of course was one of the biggest things smackdown ever had.

If he were still around today.. I could see him being a 5-6ish time heavyweight champ and not little short runs.. Everyone loved eddie I could see him being one of the champs that would have the tittle 6months to a year..

The vid package was great.. Period.. and a little off topic but did anyone notice vickie used to be hot << lol

R.I.P Eddie Guerrero

Tell me about it... I miss that guy so damn much. He was one of my favortite wrestlers to watch, and that video brought back so many memories that I saw, when I first started watching wrestling, how great it was back then...

Anyway, about your topic, I agree with you man, that he would've went to Raw at one point, however the hispanic ratings are better on SD so idk... but I think he would be heel, and doing something similiar to what Jericho's doing. He's a main eventer, but not in the main event. He'd be putting guys over, and doing some sick feuds... with Morrison, M Hardy, etc. Those would be great matches...

However, if he was face, he'd have a DAMN good match with CM Punk. Think about that... I would have LOVED to see that match. That could be a match of the year type deal, similar to Jeff Hardy vs John Morrison.

Besides, I think he was about to turn heel again when he was with Batista, he was acting like a heel before he passed... even though he was considered a face after he beat Mysterio.

RIP EDDIE GUERRERO

Every time I see an Eddie Guerrero (or Chris Benoit for that matter) tribute, I can't help but try to hold back tears. I fail each time.

I just loved Eddie Guerrero, and I wish he were still here today. I think he would be on Smackdown right now. If he really won the World Heavyweight Champion on the Smackdown after his death, he likely would have lost it at Wrestlemania, most likely. Then when ECW first resurfaced, Eddie Guerrero (an ECW Original) could have helped their ratings. Then get drafted to Raw in 2007. I predict he would have stayed there until this year's past draft.

Despite the fact that Eddie Guerrero has been gone for nearly 4 years now, I predict he would have only been a 4-time World Champion. I don't think he would be a staple in the main event. As he would switch from mid-card, to tag team, to main event, which is why I think he'd only be about a 4-time champion.

As for the Decade of Smackdown celebration... Eddie Guerrero would have been the life of the party! Along with The Iron Sheik. lol.

R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero. WE LOVE YOU!!

Im surprised no one flamed me for this topic, since so many people on here seem to be so against "reliving the past" but its great to hear that people still have a place in their hearts for Eddie.

One thing that has always bothered me is, where would Chavo Guerrero be today if Eddie were still alive? I hate seeing him be reduced to the comedy jobber role, and I would love nothing more than to see him hold the World Heavyweight belt just one time (or more).

I'm not sure about that man... To tell you the truth, I don't remember what Chavo was even doing before Eddie passed, he wasn't really doing anything.

However, the only reason he's doing this Hornswoggle crap is because Vickie left him with nothing to do. He was Vickie's bitch, but if Eddie never passed, Vickie probably would've never came on the show, and Chavo would still have nothing to do.

Still, I'm not sure about a world title for Chavo, but he definitely deserves a midcard title, the guy is talented i'll give him that. He can definately pull of a decent feud, if creative would give him that oppurtunity.

But, I would've loved to see a Los Guerreros reunion to help the tag division, that'd be awesome for Chavo. All in all, I just have no clue what the hell Chavo would be doing if Eddie were still here...

i dont think he would be mid car but coz of rey mysterios suspension i think batista would havee used eddie infavour of rey coz if eddie was there they could have had some type of match b4 then but hey cant coz mysterios suspended

lol *sigh* its good to know that i wasn't the only one tearing up during that video. i mean me and my friend were on the phone (meaning we were using the xbox 360 headsets) as we watched SmackDown and during that segment there was pure silence during the vid

Chavo at the time of Eddies death was playing Kerwin White - The worst gimmick in the freaking world...In my opinion at least.

I don't think it would have made much difference to his career other than to know if they had nothing else to do they could reform loz guererros

That video brought back all the memories of Eddie, had to wipe the tears away from my face.

Back to the topic I Believe he would be on Smackdown right now as a face, he'd be a multie time world champion, possibly be fueding with CM Punk or Kane. I wouldn't care though as long as we got to see his shenanigans.

R.I.P Eddie will forever be missed, we love you man.

just like everybody was saying Eddie was taken before his time he would have been a muti time world champ hell maybe him and bastia would have been tag champs i know when that video came on i held back tears too its just when that day came 4 years ago i was in complete shock i just couldn't believe that somebody so full of life as Eddie died but i know he is in a better place stealing halos from angels, lying to God and Cheating angels out of money

R.I.P. eddie you are missed but we will never forget you

If Eddie Guerrero was still alive, I could see him on SD! right now in a feud with CM Punk. As much as Smackdown needs a top face, Eddie would've filled that void very nicely. I could see Eddie taking the push Jeff recieved.

TCL, I don't think that Eddie would have taken Jeff's push, Jeff was very over and the crowd were screaming for a title reign from him. I think that was just one time when Vince couldn't ignore it anymore.

But I too miss Eddie, he was without doubt my favorite in ring performer at the time of his death and I remember how hard it was to hold back those tears at his memorial show.

RIP Eddie!!

Eddie might have been on Raw at some point, but he'd no doubt be a 4 or even 5 time world champ by now. Yeah that may sound like a stretch, but when he passed, he was on the verge of becoming champion again and he was one of the most deserving and entertaining guys in the WWE. Great in the ring and funny on the mic, Eddie alway had something to give and never held back. He'd be a multiple champion for sure by now.

If Eddie was alive still I think he'd be in TNA by now as a champion. Of course he'd win a couple world titles in the WWE before making the switch. I can see Eddie being that missing piece to make TNA that much better. He'd thrive there and help elevate the talent. It's a much smaller pond then the wwe so the stress of being a top man wouldn't be as bad. And just to make the "what if" scenario that much better I could see Beniot going over to TNA w/ Eddie thus recreating the Radicalz coming to wwf back in the day...

But who is to say what would happen....
