ECW Quarter Finals: Mick Foley vs. Scott Steiner: I Quit Match

Mick Foley vs. Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner​

The Following matchup takes place in Philadelphia, PA in the ECW Arena. All matches, unless other wise noted, take place under Extreme Rules.

I Quit Match:
No tapping out, no passing out, no throwing in the towel. The only way this match ends is when one person is hurting so badly that they must humble themselves to utter the words "I Quit"

I don't care if Scott Steiner has the greatest offense known to man, and drills instead of hands, you cannot make Mick Foley say "I Quit". That was the entire basis for his Royal Rumble match with The Rock, and The Rock had to cheat to get the win. Mick Foley simply doesn't understand the concept of giving up, and could never utter the phrase "I Quit". Steiner, as impressive as he is/was, is most probably capable of saying those words, given the proper persuasion. Mick Foley just got three Christmases rolled into one with this stipulation, didn't he?

Tell you what.

Change the match to a handicap match between Mick Foley and the Steiner Brothers, and add the stipulation that Mick gets shot in both kneecaps with a harpoon gun befor the match.

Then I might consider voting against Foley in an I Quit match.

Im sorry the 2 people who voted for scott are clearly very thick. There is no doubt in my mind that mick can win. I mean what has scott done that mick hasent done like 4 times better or greater? Im a big steiner fan, but i just dont think the genitic freak has it in him to make the hardcore legend himself quit.

I can't say anything here that hasn't already been said. In a lot of these matches i've called some wrestlers crazy, but mick foley is freaking daffy. This man wouldn't quit if he had four bleeding stumps for limbs and every bone in his body broken. Steiner can pull on foley in the recliener until foley's head can kiss his own ass and he won't quit. Steiner would win just about anythign else, but dead god he's dead where he stands here.

It's simple. Foley wouldn't quit. Steiner would wear him down. He'd dominate throughout. But He wouldn't get Foley to quit. Not going to happen. Anyone remember when Scotty turned heel on Rick? He avoided him for months. Scott is a coward. He'd give up once he realise he'd never be able to get Foley to quit.

Before giving this consideration, I voted for Steiner based on his submission abilities, then I realized I made a mistake. No one can beat Foley in this match. The only person I could see making him say "I quit" is the Undertaker, and it would have to be at Wrestlemania, to keep his streak alive. Therefore, I retract my vote for Steiner, even though the vote seems meaningless at this point.

Man, this is interesting. I could honestly see a situation, albeit a far fetched one, but in the realm of ECW, anything is possible. I see a situation where a Steiner ally, and i'm talking full Freakzilla mega heel turn Steiner, would kidnap Foley's son, and then, and only then, would Foley say the words I Quit. Hell, if he did it for a talentless ****e like Melina, he surely would do it for his son, right?

but I threw that out and simply went with the fact that under any circumstance, instead of sticking it to Ric Flair, Foley would never say the words I quit.

Mick Foley wins this one. Steiner may have the strength to dish out more damage to Foley, but Mick can take insurmountable damage before he ever says "I Quit". Steiner can cut off Foley's other ear and he still wouldn't say those two little words, that's how much Foley is sick in the head lol. I feel sorry for Scott, Foley is capable of doing some pretty crazy shit, and in an I Quit match, it only makes matters worse for Steiner. Foley wins in 25 minutes by making Steiner say "I Quit" to something sick and crazy that only Mick Foley is capable of.

exactly CA. Everyone forgets, even though Foley "would never quit" he always seems to loose I quit matches lol. Steiner would put him in the steiner recliner, and Foleys neck would break before he gave up. He wouldnt quit, his neck would quit. Steiner finds a way, through some Mega heel action, to get over. I do admit that at face value this very much seems to favor Foley, but if you look at history, it really doesnt.
