I was watching the raw last week and thought it was great like most of you did, but i didn't think mutch off it, untill i found that vince through out Stephanies script and had dutch mantell and paul heyman rewrite the script. Now my questions for you guys are do you guys think dutch mantell and heyman should become the lead writers, do you think they will become lead writers, and if they do can they put on this type of show on a regular basis?

Paul Heyman will not become a head writer because he flat out doesn't want to.

I always believed he wanted to, but wouldn't unless he was the head of all creative writing for the company.....answering to no one. Of course, that's impossible with Vince and Stephanie McMahon around. I can only imagine some of the creative meetings when Heyman was on the writing team. He would probably come up with a concept he felt was brilliant and flawless, only to have the McMahons' (rightly or wrongly) overrule him......and the fireworks would begin.

They might have seen him as an overbearing jackass...... while he regarded Stephanie as a young neophyte who wasn't interested in ideas that weren't her own.......and there was probably truth to both viewpoints.

It was obvious how that arrangement was going to end up, given that Stephanie could fire Heyman, but Heyman couldn't fire Stephanie.

Would WWE be better off if all creative matters were turned over to Paul Heyman?......possibly, yes. But why concern ourselves with something that will never happen?

VKM isn't just getting pressure from USA Network but Comcast as well
I think as long as HHH is in Vince's ear making more sense with things than people like Steph Heyman and Mantel will continue to write for more segments

They're probably the two best actors in WWE, hands down, so they must have some idea of what they're doing. If they were actually behind that fantastic episode of Raw then yes, let them write it every week. It won't happen though.

They probably should, but they definitely won't.

As the rumors/reports point out, Vince didn't like the script and personally worked with Zeb and Paul to do a re-write. That's not going to happen very often, as Stephanie is the VP of Creative. Vince is the only one that can veto her, and he's reportedly less involved these days. The script that was presented to him probably simply contained one too many elements he didn't enjoy. That won't be the case every week, and Stephanie, Brian Gewirtz, Ranjin Singh, and whoever else they've got back there will continue to hold their jobs, while Colter and Heyman will be leaned on occasionally for help.

It's a bizarre world we live in when we're actually hoping that Vince interferes and demands a last minute rewrite.

Duh! It would obviously be better if they gave all creative control to Heyman. It would also probably ultimately be bad for business. The cheese is where the $$$ comes from.

RAW was fantastic this week and I didn't realize this whole situation went down. I should have known something was up when they showcased Darren Young against Punk and worked in the Axel angle to further the Heyman/Punk storyline. It's simple intrigue building that has been absent for so long.
