Phenomenal movie. Good god, the soundtrack alone is worth the price of admission. I had a massive silent markout moment in the theater when Nightcall by Kavinsky hit during the titles. The story, shots, and overall feel of the thing were just indescribable.

Watch it.

That shotgun blast during the pawn shop scene made me literally jump out of my seat.

I thought it was the best movie I've seen all year. The entire cast does a great job. The movie does start off slow, but the payoff it builds to when things go berzerk is incredible. Really enjoyed the hell out of this movie.

In regards to the spoiler, I did the same. It's so perfect because of how relaxed everything is to that point.

I think that's how I could describe the movie, in a way, relaxed. But not relaxed in the peaceful way if that makes sense. It's not afraid to linger and to invoke subtleties in everything. It takes its time and is better for it.

Fuck, I REALLY wanted to see this, but the crew I went to the movies with tonight wanted to see Straw Dogs instead, and I didn't fight it. I will definitely catch it sometime this week, though. I've been looking forward to it since the trailer was released a couple of months ago. It has perhaps the best cast one could ever possibly assemble.

Just got back from seeing this. Wow. Not a weakness to report (great acting, excellent music). The driving scenes were out of this world, best I've seen in a long, long time, maybe ever. The sound was amazing as well (gunshots especially). Easily the best action movie of the year, maybe the best film we've had yet.

Great film. Might be a little over-hyped, but what good things aren't? If only everyone else in the cinema were as eerily silent as I am.

I don't know who said it, probably Sam, but I too am of the opinion that Christina Hendricks is just fat. Still would though, that shot of her walking, just walking, man, was enough to sway me to see it. Now if I only knew when it was coming on.
