The time has finally come. After almost 4 years, the new Dragon Age game has arrived. On November 18th, 2014 "Dragon Age: Inquisition" is set to be released in the US. The worldwide release will follow later on in the month with Europe getting their edition released on the 20th and Japan on the 27th. It will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PC. I am extremely excited. Between a new Dragon Age game and a new Smash Bros game this month, Christmas is coming early for me. I will be purchasing the PC version.

"Dragon Age: Inquisition" will be the third main game in the series. Origins was the original and remains my favorite of the games. The Awakening expansion followed, and the less popular Dragon Age 2 after that. With as much time as we as fans have waited for a new game, hopefully the series will bounce back in quality because I loved Origins and also enjoyed Awakening. While the 2nd game had its moments it was ultimately disappointing in comparison to Origins or Awakening. A lot of it for me was due to so much of the content taking place in the same town. The reviews so far for Inquisition are very favorable.

Are you interested in purchasing this game? Why or why not?

Do you have any other thoughts on the Dragon Age series?

You may use this topic also as a general discussion on the game after the release date later this week, but please no spoilers. Anything on topic pertaining to this game or its series is welcome provided you are within the rules of the forum.

Discuss! :)

The Dragon Age Series actually sneaked up on me back in 2008/9? (Whatever year it was released.) I wasn't all too hyped about it, but when I stopped by a friend of mines house and I saw the story, the gameplay, and the fact it was Bioware game I had to give it a whirl. Since then, I was hooked on the Dragon Age Universe and the story it told.

Of course, then Dragon Age two had to be pushed out of the craptastic Era when EA grabbed Bioware's nutsack and threatened to squeeze it like a tube of gogurt unless they pushed out an unfinished game by the holidays. God, Dragon Age 2 was horrible, it was so bad that many fans including myself looked at Dragon Age: Inquisition and went "Oh god, are we gonna get fucked up again?" You know, kinda like the fat kid in the locker room who gets whipped with towels when they're changing.

According to my XBone, I have something around 30 hours of gameplay and I'm nowhere near finishing this game. There's just so much to explore and so much to do you'll spend hours wandering around the first area called "The Hinterlands" doing menial tasks like finding flowers and killing wolves. (PSA: Leave the fucking Hinterlands. Shit gets so much cooler once you do, I promise.) The visuals are outstanding, and they really improved on the combat mechanics to where they're no longer dull and overly simple like DA:O or as button spamming and controller destroying as the Dragon Age 2 mechanics.

For newcomers to the Dragon Age Games, I would take the risk to playing this game before looking in the used game section of Gamestop for copies of the first two games. While what happened in both games (I.E, the choices you have made) are a huge deal to Dragon Age: Inquisition, the game itself is a solid standalone and does a grand job on keeping you up to speed to the current climate of the story, the politics, and the world of Thedas. (Funny enough, Thedas is an acronym for The Dragon
Age Setting. )

For returning Dragon Age fans who were molested by Dragon Age 2: Buy this game, it isn't Dragon Age 2.

There's 4 player Multiplayer where it's co-op dungeon raiding. You play as agents for the Inquisition doing grunt work for the Main Character and the story. I haven't gotten into much of this yet, but with the fact you can level up the agents, send them out to your single player game to bolster your ranks is more than enough reason to sit down and play Co-Op with your friends.

This is an amazing game. The graphics are stunning and is truly the first next gen game I have enjoyed. I bought a PS4 at the beginning of the year anticipating this release and have not been let down. The map on this game is a bit overwhelming, but exciting at the same time.

I really haven't had played a game with this much scope. I really enjoyed DA:O then like others was let down and confused with DA2. I played about half way through that game and my PS3 died.

It is cool that you can play as Cassandra who was the lead character in Dragon Age Dawn Of The Seeker. This was a movie that came out a couple of years ago that built upon a world that I wanted to see more of.

I'm absolutely loving dragon age inquisition. There's a hell of a lot to do... it's like Skyrim lite. You can explore anywhere you want, no invisible walls except that you still can't swim.... sheesh what's with bioware and not being able to swim? smh.... Anyway, this game has my Badass seal of approval!
