Does Daniel Bryan need a new finisher

no, I dont think bryan needs a impact finisher, but like a previous poster said, he should start using his guillotine again but instead of them tapping they should pass. out I think this would add some intensity to him witch wouldn't hurt. also I think he should use his signature kick to. win a few matches but don't use it a lot and have the commentators make it a big deal.

After reading some of the posts I have to say that some of you didn't quite understand me. What I wanted to say is does he need to add a new finisher and keep the YES lock.
Despite that I agree with many posts claiming that he could be like Flair, Hart and others but adding a pinfall finisher will give us various endings of his matches and it will be unpredictable. If you ask me his pinfall finisher could be some variation of Sweet Chin Music. After all he has been a student of HBK and like someone said a mma kick or something like that.

Precisely. Adding unpredictability to a match is never a bad thing. Convincing the audience that a match could end a multitude of ways makes for dramatic false finishes and an overall more entertaining match.

ok then if you want a hbk tribute move how about a sweat chin music but when there on there knees. this will help with his size and could look devastating. imagine Ziggler receiving one and his body all bent and crippled

I think it depends. I've been really irritated with the creative team's refusal to let him ever make anyone formidable tap to the Yes Lock. I couldn't believe they didn't have Sheamus actually taps in the two out of three falls match. What would that have really hurt?

So, if creative won't sell the Yes Lock as a truly dangerous move, then I believe he definitely needs a secondary pinning finisher.

As for what that should be... I'd love to see him bring back the Regal Plex, but he can't because of size issues. I'd hate to see him adopt the diving headbutt as a mainstay, just because of concussion dangers. Honestly, I could see him using a Shining Wizard as his finisher, or some variation thereof. It's not dependent on the opponent's size at all and situationally specific finishers can be interesting.

Did you think guys like Chris Benoit, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, etc. needed a new finisher to pinfall their opponent? These guys were submission specialists, and they won multiple World titles during their careers with those submission holds. So no! I don't think he needs a new finishing move. But I'd be okay if he used a new impact maneuver. But then again if he didn't, I wouldn't really care.

Main event faces rarely tap out, so I'm not too surprised. It was a good way to give Bryan the fall and keep Sheamus looking strong.

When faces fight really hard to avoid getting caught in the YES Lock, that in a way puts the move over just as much as tapping to it because they know if they're caught in it, the match is over. It's typically tougher for heels to get submission holds over in my view (unless they're a monster).

he really doesnt need a new finisher w/ pinfall because hes a submission specialist..

but if it got necessary for him to need one id say a flying headbutt
or a superkick (Due to the fact that HBK trained him at one point & because DBRY delivers those hard & devastating kicks)

I would like to see him get a new finisher, a new submission finisher. He's a submission specialist, most submission wrestlers don't pin their opponent. He'll continue to make them tap out. :)

Maybe he could use that buzzsaw kick to the head he does as a finisher rather than a signature. Tajiri did it and it got over big and I think Bryan would do the same. But he doesn't necessarily need it.

They always say he has over 100 submission moves, I would like him to use at least a half dozen of that 100....and I agree with the guy who said it puts the move over when the face does everything possible to stay out of it, almost like when you get a cramp and you're contorting your body any possible way to get it to pass...

I wouldn't say he needs a "new" finisher per say, and being he's a submission specialist I wouldn't say he needs a move that leads to a pin fall. But I do agree he could use something for the bigger opponents when he can't lock in the Yeslock as easily. Maybe something like that Guillotine Choke he used for awhile? I know it's been pulled out against Big Show and Khali, if I remember correctly, so it's possible

Not the best looking thing in the world, but whatever's effective

Pretty much agreed with this poster. I mean, any submission specialist will always own you one way or another. A la Benoit, Angle, Jericho, Maleanko and so on, but because Bryan is taking on Punk and Punk has his GTS as well as his Anaconda Vice I would think Bryan can find a pinning move equivalent...but What exactly? I mean Y2J used to have the 3 powerbombs when he first came but no way could he do that to big show so his codebreaker will do. So with Bryan I'm thinking something from the top rope, maybe some of the old school luchador moves like the Dragonrana, but that's really dangerous. Maybe after a couple of kics to the opponents head while he's on the corner, Bryan could run at him and do a sliced bread like manuever but instead of a bulldog it could be like the code breaker when he spins around from the jump....which soulds weird as I write it because I've never seen it done, but it would be cool. If not that then maybe some sort of off the rope kick like the beautiful disaster but mixed with a melee....well. We'll have to see someday. But if he does discover one. I hope it's against Punk

Does he need a new finisher at this time.. No

Eventually..YES!(YES!YES!)

He doesn't need it but wrestlers like people should evolve there repertoire to stay successful in there life/career and success in wrestling entertainment depends on wrestlers evolving and staying fresh and exciting to the crowd. Seriously some people act like him having anything but a submission finisher is a travesty but all it would do is benefit Daniel Bryan and I'm sure that's what he cares about most at the end of the day

All the matches cannot be won via submission.. And we see lots of forced gimmick matches in the wwe these days.. What help would the Yes Lock do to bryan in a ladder match or a table match...?? While yes lock is hugely over, still he needs another finisher in his arsenal for gimmick matches.
