Does anyone miss the 24/7 Hardcore Title Era?

Uhh you people don't get the concept of Hardcore do you. I think when Crash introduced the 24-7 rule it made perfect sense. Go back and watch Al Snow vs The Big Bossman from Summerslam '99 for a refresher course:

Hardcore Title matches were anywhere in the world you could win at whether it be in a Bar, Hotel Room, Chuckee Cheese, Bathroom, Airport, In a Mall. They were awesome it WWE could use this to help get the guys like Zack Ryder, Primo, David smith, Tatsu, Barretta, Hawkins, Santino, for example get exposure a lil time on TV if only for a few seconds. I would love for a return of This Championship cause it was for entertainment purposes only and not really be taken seriously. Basically give people who weren't the ME scene exposure every week. And the 24-7 duel branded thing would be more epic w/ the title.

I miss the title as a whole more than I miss the 24/7 rule.

I am a fan of hardcore wrestling, not deathmatch wrestling, but I do like to see tables being broken, chairs getting bent over skulls, shots with trash cans etc. Its mindless entertainment that you can watch and not have to worry about ring pcychology or anything like that. I will argue to the end about it being worthy of a spot on any card.

The WWE hardcore division was pretty decent. It allowed guys like Raven, Rhyno, Dreamer and Van Dam to wrestle in a style that wouldnt normally be seen on a WWE show, and continue to please the fans of theirs from ECW, where everything was hardcore. It also gave wrestlers such as Steve Blackman, Crash, Hardcore Holly and many others something to do, and made them valuable to the company, as they would have otherwise been worthless.

I found ther 24/7 rule fun, but I think it probably ran its course. It was enjoyable and gave us plenty of funny moments, but it was never going to have a long lifespan. I miss the Hardcore Time Limit Title matches much more, where the belt changed hands about 30x in 15 minutes, and you had NO idea of who was going to leave as the champion. I also was a big fan of Undertaker, in his Big Evil phase, as the Hardcore Champion. I thought it added a whole new sadistic side to his character and really freshened him up

I thought the 24/7 thing was pretty stupid but at the same time I miss those days because there isn't enough backstage and outside of the arena fights these days and I always enjoyed that. I miss the Attitude Era so much but I'm willing to accept and enjoy change as long as it's still fun to watch and a lot of times these days the WWE just isn't nearly as fun anymore.

I don't know how some people in this thread can say the 24/7 rule made the HC Title a joke. The title was a joke from the first time it was brought in, are you seriously saying you took a cracked up title seriously till up to the point where they brought in the 24/7 rule? If it were gonna be a serious title, they would've made a proper belt for it. But even though it was a joke, I liked it. The 24/7 was exciting, just seeing everybody trying to running away with the belt especially Crash and then when Blackman held it and was fighting everyone off with his karate was fun. Those were good times and it actually got every mid-carder & jobber who wasn't used on TV, on TV. I think it should be brought back despite this PG crap, maybe we'll see more of Zack Ryder on our TV that way, maybe he could be a HC Champ since it isn't a serious title and WWE don't take Ryder serious.

I don't see a problem with the way the Hardcore title belt looked. I mean there's mayhem and violence in hardcore matches and I think the belt reflects that but that's just MY opinion. I don't take Zach Ryder seriously either because of his stupid gay Jersey Shore character. Maybe if he changed then I could like him.

I just started watching the WWE when they had the whole 24/7 rule. So for me it's what I was used to seeing, and I LOVED IT! I loved it because it was so spontaneous and chaotic, and I never knew who would be defending the title and where it would be being defended. My two favorites were when Crash Holly (RIP) defended it at a Chuck E. Cheese and ran thru the main fun house area with the ball pit and the tubes and stuff, and when he defended it at an airport and ran down the luggage compartment. Those were some instant classics! So yeah, I really do miss the whole 24/7 hardcore title concept. (like even if they brought back the belt, it still wouldn't be as fun without the 24/7 rule)
