Do we know too much?

I think we do know too much. I think that's part of the reason why wrestling has been suffering. We go on dirt sheets and see what's happening on Raw and that's what ruining the surprise for us. I try not to go on the dirt sheets on Monday's, I still want the surprise factor. I think if we know less, it would be better for the product and for the fans.

I don't think we know too much. That isn't to say that we don't know enough but I don't think 'knowing' changes your enjoyment of the show. I think it's pretty safe to say that for me, I wouldn't be watching wrestling right now if I didn't know the ins and outs of how a wrestling product works (obviously I don't know a lot, but you know what I mean.) The reason I watch is not necessarily just the shows that they present us week to week but because the whole product, the business, the background, the history, etc is all extremely interesting.

Yes we definitely know too much and yes I did enjoy wrestling more before I became a smark. I can never go back to the days when I wasn't one. I'm also glad I am one because the inner workings of the business is something I always wanted to know about. Vince Russo knew there were a lot of fans that wanted to get the inside dirt in the mid 90s and that's why we had the great Raw magazines. I remember back then thinking it was refreshing to read a magazine that didn't already tell us what the storylines were on tv. I think more casual fans should become smarks because it's hard to talk to the ones who aren't. This one guy at my job practically thinks wrestling is real and doesn't know his facts. I never knew that Eddie Guerrero was Puerto Rican and died while getting ready for a match at Madison Square Garden:lol:

We definately know too much, it spoils it in a way. I would much rather not know anything and be surprised by the littlest things. I'd even go as far as not wanting to know the matches for next week, only PPV matches that can have a build up
